  • Go Gravel!

  • From what I gathered, Gravel oppose torture and death penalty. He believes in universal health care. He supports same sex marriage and is big on the glbt's rights. He's pro life and doesn't oppose embryonic stem cell research. That's all I need to know personally.

    Go Mike Go!

    Sophie :)

  • He's pro life?!

  • My bad... I meant pro choice. I was thinking of abortion and of the capital punishment all at once :)

Although Wikipedia isn't exactly a great source of exact information, you are right, Gravel is indeed pro choice... Not pro life.

I'll never get used to those terms... To me, pro choice is also pro life as the right to choose doesn't equal death but freedom. Anyway, my opinion...

  • According to Wikipedia, he's not pro life:

Gravel in principle does not object to the use of embryonic stem cells for medical research purposes. He is avowedly pro-choice on the issue of abortion and women's reproductive rights.

  • according to me and my collegiate standards, Wikipedia is NOT a credible source......... try doing your research based one someone who has actually accomplished something.. like a scholar maybe? the local library?

  • I guess that Canadian and American values are quite different when it comes to politics. I look at McCain, Obama and Clinton and I don't see them winning any Canadian elections... For the record, I'm neither red or blue. Gravel's family is french canadian by the way. I had no idea.

  • I know I'm such a reject which is why I'm happy not to be American and to have to vote next November... Now that my favourite democrat candidate is out of the race, I'm rooting for Mike Gravel! For the record, my favourite democrat candidate was Kucinich. Yes... Reject, i know... I didn't know much about Gravel at first.

  • Wow, I am a Ron Paul supporter, but have just discovered Mike Gravel and want to know more. So, far, I'm very impressed! We need more people like these Gravel and Paul.

  • Gravel is the only good democratic candidate left. I was supporting Kucinich until he ended his candidacy. Kucinich would have gotten us out of Iraq right away too. They (Pelosi and AIPAC) bullied him into getting out of the race to keep his congressional seat. At least that's the story going around.

People PLEASE vote for Gravel. We really need him to lead our country out of this mess. The other two are status quo and you all know it.

  • apparently approximately 60 % of usa citizen do not know... i smell fraud

    watch?v=PKQEQ7qHvgM

    watch?v=PKQEQ7qHvgM

  • support gravel you poor deluded Americans, he IS your only hope

  • i have been so disappointed in the debates that the very candidates who talk about hope are not willing to talk about the very real reasons to despair. Recognizing these reasons is the first step to finding real, responsible solutions--solutions that will require more from individuals. I applaud Senator Gravel for taking these conversations to their roots and taking on hypocrisy in all forms, especially by questioning our automatic endorsement of military glut and spending.

  • Why?

Because there needs to be one Democratic candidate on the side of peace, not war.

  • what are you talking about? the other two talk about getting out of iraq as well.

  • what about Iran fedeman2?

  • doesn't matter anyway. the house is not gonna let any president invade iran.

  • obama and hillary dont want to get out of Iraq they want to stay for the oil and other things why would they want to get out,Gravel I believe will actually get out I Iraq because he has done it before in '71 by ending the draft and he can do it again.

  • think about you're asking before you ask it.

gravel, right now, is the only candidate for peace, truly following the messages of ghandi and MLK.

do you really think the other candidates will fix our problems with inspirational speeches, empty words and empty promises? face it, we have corporations that are ruling washington.

mike gravel has always stuck to his beliefs. he has never flip flopped and is the most reliable and STRONGEST candidate!

  • i never said i didn't like him. the truth is, though, that he's not gonna win. that's fact. so, why bother?

  • well, at least, we vote with our integrity still intact...

it's about standing up for what you truly believe in...not compromising them!

    :) peace

  • you get to vote for the party's nominee? i didn't get that. i'm sorry, i'm argentinean and i wasn't entirely sure how these things ran in the states. in that, case, it makes perfect sense.

  • I love Ron Paul. But you would be my next choice, even thoug you are a Liberal!

  • I agree with this statement.

  • You have a excellent character IMO. You have stood up for what you have felt is right, even though it would risk you career in politics. I respect you:-)

  • You rock Gravel! You're really going to change the nation, and I'm proud to be voting for you and telling people on my campus about you!

  • Ron Paul wants to start a revolution in this country! He wants to give less power to the government and more to the people, and make the US dollar worth gold instead of tender.

Now tell me, does this guy believe in helping the people and hurting his stand base? And does he really think "He" can aprove marijuana by himself?

  • Mike Gravel literally wants to give the people the power.

Ron Paul has no such plans. He loves his representative government.

  • Why the hell is Ron Paul being in mentioned in every Mike Gravel video on here?

  • i'm here because i became interested in gravel's positions and wanted to hear more. he has a very similar stance to ron paul. the only thing i remember hearing about gravel was on the daily show when they made fun of his video, instead of giving him credit for his principles.

  • Please, y'all, if you agree with Mike and what he is saying and doing, give his campaign some money! Let's make him OUR OWN MILLION DOLLAR MAN by President's Day, January 21st, 2008. Show your love!

  • She doesn't know that GRAVEL is a french surname.

  • Wouldn't Mike Gravel and Ron Paul make a dream team on the independent ticket? I think together they could win.

  • How can you say LaRouches campaign is dead? That is pattently absurd. KLaRouche has a global youth movwement working with him. Maybe you could mention a few other political figures in the world who have global youth movement. as far as one issue maybe you should look on the schillerinstitutedotorg page. There you will see the mglev trains and water projects, and many other possibilities for humanity. We must defeat the Oligarchy!

  • Oh yeh I was goint to ask, if you could even mention, one thing Larouche is wrong about. I mean he is rigorous, I'm sure you would admit. so it is always good to find something that people disagree with. Can you mention something Gravel2008? If you need amunition you could go to my channel a see a few clips from Lyndons webcasts.

  • LaRouche is wrong...

  • uh oh! You Gravel2008, have broken the golden Rule! You have responded to LaRouche! well maybe Laroucheisright, but still I think you may be in trouble. After all Mr. Larouche is not to be responded to. Do you know no better? What pray tell were you thinking? And you respose so eloquent. muah. Ihope you have broken the floodgate.

  • What? I don't think that's a coherent sentence.

Listen, LaRouche makes some decent fiscal points, but his campaign is dead otherwise. He's literally a single issue entitty candidate.

  • That is nonsense. Go to the newspage of the larouche youth movement, larouchepacdotcom .

Read the news page breaking developements. Single issue, that is interesting term. But I defy someone to listen to even ten minuse of LaRouche at my channel and say he is one issue. What is the issue that you say he is?

  • Mike Gravel was on the Commonwealth Club Dec 21. What an amazing, straight forward candidate! I haven't seen him on "Meet the Press" or any of the other Sunday Political News shows. They should have him on ASAP before it's too late! Listen to the Commonwealth Club program if you can for now. He has plans for the future prosperity of America AND the entire planet. I love his comments about the moral bankrupcy of the current administration - no fear! - Right ON.

  • Great stuff!

  • too bad this isn't in English, I could use it for my page (too many Americans are too lazy to read subtitles unfortunately, I don't mind the French)

    Great clip

  • then don't let the lazy ones watch it. if they're lazy, they don't deserve to know about such a candidate.

  • thats not the attitude a gravel supporter should have. Gravel needs more publicity. That kid of attitude is not going to get him more publicity. Be proud to be a gravel supporter and make him and the national initiative known to anyone that will listen or not listen

  • i think gwelphie's point was to try to persuade people who see this video to put it on homepages, and if "lazy american" people choose not to watch it, then that's their fault, but there's nothing we can do about it.

  • don't know him and don't want to.

  • Of course your dont, your life is ruled by fear, please delete the word man from your name... thank you.

  • abra ... are you an American citizen.

you don't want to know who is a possible candidate and leader of our country?

Who would you like to know then... teach me something new

  • Then it is just as kyeot said, your life if ruled by fear. Huckabee fears 'environmentalism' for goodness sakes. *ha ha ha ha ha ha*

  • Mike Huckabee fools indeed.

  • your loss

  • Vote Mike

It's the religious fugue that has america in the grip of fear. Fear of invasion, fear of poverty, fear of change, fear of others. Fear of everything.

Free yourself from the fear of god. The government uses religion to control the population and has done so for thousands of years.

Freedom of religion allows freedom to indoctrinate the young in schools, camps, temples, mosques, churces, TV and the media. Indoctrinated into a culture of fear and intollerance.

  • My wife and I are voting for Mike...both former Kucinich supporters who simply found out that Mike is the Better choice. Run Mike Run and run as an independent if for any reason the Democrats do not nominate you.

  • Better than ron paul? ^^

Good to see more than one candidate seems to be "pure" and not contamined by the actual gouvernment

  • I like the guy, but I think that his problem primarily is based upon people not knowning who the guy is. Spread the word, let the people get to know the guy, YOU CAN DO THE DIFFERENCE by spreading the message, to your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/parents/neighbour/stranger on the street etc...Do it for your country

  • stoked, the "tired of the lies" clip was from my video! mike gravel vs. politics as usual

  • It's still one of our favorite videos!

  • gravel is a 1, leadership...blessings to the lightworkers! thank you all so much!

  • Gravel!!! gRavel!!! GRAVEL!!! vote for him US! for your own best! im not living in the US,but i can tell you..the US system is FUCKED UP! BUSH fucks up even more!! Gravel whould make your cuntry a HAVEN!

  • If you believe in Mike, Donate today and spread the message. Even if he doesn't get elected as President, he can use the fund and the support to run for congress. I will do what no one else will. He will filabuster the war.

  • I really want to thank Ipol. Ipol made a few French people discover Mike Gravel. Why didn't the US media talk about the left-wing candidates in France's 2007 elections?

  • It's interesting to note that the French media (in spite of Sarkozy's control of the media and making TF1 become like Fox News, there are a few independent voices in France) made an effort to talk about Gravel whereas the US media never talked about Dominique Voynet, Jose Bove and Olivier Besancenot. The Us media only talked about Royal, Bayrou, Le Pen and Sarkozy

  • i believe in you, mike

  • Gravel!!! Gravel!!!! Gravel!!!! Gravel!!!!

I hope everybody supporting him is putting their money where there mouth is. I'm sending as much as I can spare and am trying to spread his message.

  • You know what I'd like? A Gravel VS Ron Paul in the primaries. That wouldn't be a lesser of 2 evils vote, that would be the first time in 200 years that we get to vote on the premise "Who would do a better job?"

  • Not supporting Gravel is suicide. We have 11 months for fellow Americans to realize this.

  • carbon tax?!?! i like mike gravel except for his views on the whole carbon tax. the democrat nomination should seriously be gravel or kucinich.

  • The beauty part is his bigger plan is the National initiative. If you and a lot of other people feel that its not a good idea you could vote to stop it.

He's not a candidate to expect you to trust him. He's a candidate that trusts you.

  • EXACTLY!

  • go mike!

  • Mmm, I like Mike!

Too bad his campaign is going downhill after he got kicked out of the debates. I guess it is Paul or Kucinich that stand a chance of making change.

Gravel should keep campaigning after he loses, get the national initiave and fair tax ideas out there more, make a name for himself as an advocate, and then storm 2012!

  • Its not downhill. Its just recieving some opposition.

The road blocks are there to let you know how bad do you want it.

  • Well I just found out about him today, and he seems like the best candidate out of both parties (liberal Ron Paul ftw).

  • no. Not Liberal Ron Paul. Liberal Mike Gravel.

He's never adopted others style of politics. Because others styles are usually what led to corruption.

For example. Mike Gravel had said that he looked up to a senator in congress. And when he started doing policy changing rhetoric thinking he was paying homage to this senator. The Senator snapped back and said "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? Don't rock the boat!". Mike Gravel then said that since that day he never admired anyone in congress.

  • America needs Mike Gravel.

  • And he needs America! This man is Awesome.

  • Mike we need you to keep going all the way to keep speaking the TRUTH. If you could prevent a few from voting Pillary,Barack Osama,McFlipFlop, etc.

    GO MIKE

  • If gravel doesn't get elected I'm expatriating to France.

  • i kinda dont understand that...

what does france...dont know how to say it, but i think you understand...you know...

mike with france, french language, moving to france:)

(sorry but my english isnt that good)

  • go mike!!!

  • yer i can see the mida choosen who to run for 2008 already and its sad! I want him to win but wiuth this media? bah but maybe you guys show shout about this to other countrys?

I mean come on is there any one who could do PR work in international levle? Britiain good start :)

  • Go Maurice!

  • support

  • ****support****

  • Why are the French pronouncing it like the word, "gravel"?

  • In French, every syllable is emphasized.

  • I'll bet more Europeans know about Mike Gravel than Americans.

  • nice

  • So why are you here?

  • Freedom of speech! You have a problem with that!

  • You are indeed free to post what you wish, I simply asked WHY do it here?

  • Are they aware in France that here in America we say Gra-VEL? She says GRAvel :)

This is beautiful! Absolutely beautiful. They even remember David Lynch.

They remember JFK too. Mike surely is not JFK, thank goodness, but the people of the other nations of the world would welcome him as they did JFK. As a signal that the nightmare of not only the past 8 years but the past 28 were finally over!

And so, of course, would you and I! So vote Mike Gravel. It is just that simple.

  • hey the french ppl are paying attention! coolio.

  • I enjoyed the hell out of this video. Gooooooo France!

  • Dr Mike Gravel the real freedom is here, so u love counter-culture? so u hate war? so u think U.S.A is in the wrong place? Go for this guy, the ironic part is im not even American! But Im just saying what u guys must do to liberate urselfs from a gov´t which is making u slaves of themselves and the media.!

please consider Gravel08 a NEW OPTION and a new beginning for USA

  • Wow. He must have huge balls. Balls of steel even. Kudos!

  • Mike Gravel is the only choice. Conservatism leaves the people at a cross roads on what to do with government.

Mike Gravel knows what to do with it.

  • I don't understand how you could be split between Mike Gravel and Ron Paul. I do understand they both have a genuine wish to return the power to the people, but, Paul is a hardcore Capitalist while Gravel is open to government having some say fiscally.

  • I spent many months researching both, and you sum it up nicely.

I prefer Gravel, but I'd take Paul over Hillary.

We couldn't do better than Gravel

    BUT

We could do a lot worse than Paul.

Many Paul supporters feel the same.

  • Shouldn't the American people deserve the best? We've had crappy president after crappy president.

Its time for someone that is the best for the job. Not the one who is popular enough for the job.

  • We deserve what we give ourselves.

I don't know if we deserve Gravel or not, but at least we are being given the chance.

That said, I know a lot of people who wouldn't vote for Jesus if he was a Dem. for them I talk up Ron Paul.

  • It's a French program!! And, Gravel speaks French fluently (Quebecois heritage).

    He's the global candidate!

  • o didn't know

  • Both MG and RP have stirred voters up out of apathy and into revolution engagement. They embody the energies of all those voters. Let's keep all that stirred up. It's passed time for status quo BIG FAT ASS government to be dethroned and replaced by "WE THE PEOPLE."

  • We have to push both of these men to everyone we know.

We all know Dem & Rep who would never vote for one or the other, so we need to get the word out about BOTH of them.

  • haha minus 6 for explaining my typo. Apparently , typos are in right now?

  • Hehe, typo correction comments are some of our favorites.

  • I meant, Republicans you focus on getting Ron Paul your primary

  • Alright, LISTEN UP, no more of this Mike Gravel versus Ron Paul b.s.

Democrats, let's win Mike the primary.

Republicans, you focus on getting Ron Paul the presidency.

Can't we all agree that out of the field of candidates these two are the best?

So as to who would make a better president, let's cross that bridge when we get to it. However, for now, no more distractions!

  • We all win if the messages of men like Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinich, and Ron Paul (My pick) are heard.

    Tell a friend!

  • YES!

  • this guys is great!!! its eitherhim or Ron Paul in my opinon

  • Fantastic, great video!

Scroll back up, see the "Subscribe" button? I urge you to click it, only takes a second!!!

  • I'm glad that people can finally hear about Mike Gravel.

It's shameful that American media ignores him. Good for the French for actually paying attention to what is right.

  • Noone cares about Ron Paul

  • It's funny to see that while americans make an effort to pronnounce Mike's last name in French the French make an effort to pronounce it in English. Go Mike!

  • David Lynch 2008!

  • I like Mike...Gravel! Not Huckabee!

  • google National Initiative for Democracy

  • How do we push your message Mr. Senator?

The military industrial complex owns the media, and my voice is drowned out by yellow dog voters.

  • Tell everyone you know about Gravel. You will be suprised how many people have never heard of him.

  • Wow! The French are giving some publicity to Mike. Glad somebody is.

  • Good video. Mike Gravel 2008!
