  • Hmmm....Running out of ammo....?

Isn't that why you send up an ADREP after every firefight requesting ammo to fill your 10-15 30-rnd magazines?

    What's that? You're American? I'm so sorry.

  • @ThunderousTitan You seem to sense it: we Americans use firepower as a shield because we are on foot and too stupid to have actual shielding from tracked armored vehicles (tanks) and consequently use too much ammo.

  • if ammo isn't supplied or the frinkin thing jams enough that you get sick of it.

  • If you like the SKS check out the VZ-58. It looks like an AK but has many advantages over the AK. It uses different magazines then the AK47 but they look the same (banana mags) and like the SKS can be fed with stripper clips.

The VZ-58 is almost a merge of the AK and SKS and is considered by most superior to both.

  • @SuperleggeraVW I love it i want one

  • American G.I. in WW2 were not insufferable weak egomaniacs like idiots who post comments here that get DELETED; they used ENEMY WEAPONS without their penises falling off...

    watch?v=FJKXF9WtebA

  • I think Obama actually made a valid point for once(according to the info box) if your going to be able to obtain ammo from the enemy-I'd like to think weapons of same caliber would be sittin right there too...-to me this is a much better plan because it would be compatible with any weapon system that one would come across... I'm not trying to be a ass here-but this idea would be a absolute logistical nightmare!

  • True and false, the whole POINT of being able to shoot enemy ammo is to use their logistics against him when our logistics fails, which it does routinely. The nightmare is to be a lazy weak ego American who refuses to plan ahead.

  • GOOD IDEA. Then on the next mission ACCURIZE it. Do you know what BZO is? Improve it with reflex/night optics. Then take on next mission.

    READ video description.

  • The war racket is not just about greed, its about EGO. A lot of weak egos cannot tolerate the FACT that they might run out of ammo for their M16/M4s that they view as extentions to their penis; a gun is just a TOOL; if you need another use it.

  • 1. If you paid attention to the back-up gun video it would be carried in a VEHICLE

    2. You can COLLECT more enemy ammo than you can ever carry--even with a vehicle

    3. The U.S. has lost BATTLES and WARS because we ran out of ammo:

    Battles:

    Wake Island

    Bataan

    Corregidor

    Wars

Bay of Pigs (fight to free Cuba from Castro coimmunism)

  • Why carry two rifles anyhow it would be less of a strain to convert our own to a 7.62...But why? 5.56 are lighter an you can carry twice the amount compared to the 7.62.. Therefore you would run up an grab there gun to find it's empty lmfao...

  • Your VEHICLE carries your back-up gun. If you READ the video description the M16A5 that shoots enemy ammo is offered as an option. Look up the Bay of Pigs. We lost an entire battle/war by running out of ammo.

  • Actually,... the next generation assault rifle for the U.S. military is a tri barreled weapon capable of firing .223 7.65 5.56 rounds, with an optional .308 in there somewhere. the barrel swap takes less than 30 seconds and is currently in the training and prooving phase of development, carrying two rifles and two different kinds of ammo is not practical by any means. which by the way army personell is now REQUIRED to get to know the AK47 INTIMATELY

  • Watch our new vid on the M16A5.

  • The SKS has a sweet habbit of stove piping! not a big deal in your back yard.....woudnt want it to happen while im being shot at

  • I haven't had that problem but that's where testing & eval comes in to determine the best back-up gun.

  • So....you're supposed to carry two rifles on yourself, in case you run out of ammo for one?

cant you just like.....use one rifle, and carry more ammo for it?

  • VEHICLE.

You can collect more enemy ammo than you can ever carry.

  • we train our soldiers on foreign weapons, and what to do if out of ammo, we dont need to adopt shit.

  • FALSE. Most U.S. units do not train on enemy weapons. Wish it were true. To fully exploit enemy ammo as its captured we need to already have a back-up gun.

  • @dynmicpara the instruction manual for most russian weapons fits on one side of a 8x11.5 peice of paper, and generally doesnt need words, anyone that can opperate an m16 can figure out an ak relatively quickly*

*yes im sure there are instances where that isnt true, but there will generally be someone to explain it

  • I love my SKS!! Very accurate and reliable weapon.

  • In theory FN SCAR-H can use 7.62x39 with a right barrel and bolt (and most likely a mag adapter too), but SCARs are just being deploid (whats more, not in Army, but SOCOM) and still too scarce.

Several Western modular gun systems can fire Rusian rounds, it's easier to carry just few details instead of whole backup gun, BUT you'll need time to switch from one caliber to another while allready assambled weapon is instatly ready like SCAR-H + SCAR-L or SKS + any 5.56 NATO weapon.

  • I know I love my SKS! I think its an excellent weopon that is almost beyond reliable which is the bragging point of the AK47. Accurate and a good heavy hitting round from a longer barrel than AK47s' means you have a better chance of hitting what your shooting at with a higher velocity and that translates into killing or stopping power. But I think a better idea is to just have an extra upper barrel for the AR-15 chambered in 7.62X39 along with the one for 5.56X45...Problem solved!

  • i don't care what you think no one uses stripper clips.

    ak-47 mags are used

so why not pick up an ak-47 with the mags???

  • I advocate we collect as we go; however it will not be ACCURIZED and it may be spiked--better to ALREADY HAVE A BACK-UP gun that shoots enemy ammo.

  • Not to be mean or anything, but one guy did happen to take this video and completely criticise you on your theory, I mean it is a good theory I just dont see it happening..I mean the weight would probly be unbearable, but you have the right idea. And also I would like for you to explain how having both a magazine and stripper clips will help, and how stripper clips are amazing. I just want to know, thanks.

  • Where? I should have discounted that totally. What part of VEHICLE carrying the back-up SKS is there not to understand? Being able to load from either strippers or mags means faster reloading in a dire situation; possible with SKS but not AKM

  • Mmm well I do see a plus on that side, but i'm pretty sure our military engineers would take your concept and make it more...modernized..I mean the SKS is a awsome gun, both fun to shoot and reliable. but its essentially WW2 era tech, and needs to be upgraded some, and i'm sorry i forgot you mentioned that we should keep it in the vehicles, and as for the video, I am not sure but you should be able to find it, just ask some other people I do no remember its title im sorry

  • or what you can do is take an ar15 upper chambered in 7.62x39 and carry some mags chambered in it attach it to your upper load the mags and good to go.

  • Great idea! Did you even read the info provided in the video description describing the M16A5?

  • what are you talking about the loading times. cuz i think thats a rather mute point.

  • When you are being shot at loading times are not a "moot" point.

  • I believe that the point to this is that while you may not be able to carry as much M16 ammunition as you'd need, if you have a good Russian or enemy made weapon you could always take ammunition in the field off your enemy giving you a virtually limitless supply that makes your equipness equal to theirs.

Great idea! , I also believe that stripper clips are great b/c they are cheaper, less weight, and take up less room in your pack even when loaded compared to a box mag

  • You can load a magazine with a stripper clip. You don't need to have a weapon that can be directly fed by stripper clips like the SKS.

  • And if you do not have an AKM and mags? ...but you have ammo on stripper clips...

  • Plan "C" could be that bayonet! Out of ammo again?? Charge them withthe bayonet revolutionary style. not an expert but I would think it would be more manly to die facing your enemy rather than getting shot in the back running! LOL

  • Plan B is use the enemy's weapons and ammo.

  • they should make a 7.62 firing ar-15 pretty badass

  • Described as an "M16A5" in the video description!

  • Is that a Tapco mag in the video? Are those easy to load with stripper clips, or do they require some force or modifications to the mag?

  • Sarterboy writes:

"M14, M1 Garand, and Springfield all were fed with a stripper clip. the m14 also used a magazine like the sks. the russian military replaced the sks because of the stripper, it was more expiensive, and it was not selective fire."

  • Mostly correct. The M1 Garand shoots an 8-shot en block, a bent piece of metal not exactly a stripper CLIP. Stripper clips are LESS EXPENSIVE than box magazines.

  • If I was going to be prepared before hand I would simply have an entire 7.62x39 AR upper to put on the lower -- or hell even a totally different completed AR in 7.62x39

Or have an SKS... whichever whatever

  • Your first idea of an "AR" that shoot enemy ammo is the "M16A5" option I propose on the web page offered in the vIDEO DESCRIPTION.

  • I think DPMS or Armalite is now making one! Not really expensive either! Great idea really with the prevailance of the AK-47 and SKS around the Middle Eastern theater!

  • your back up is your sidearm

  • Your pistol ammunition shooting weapon cannot do the job of a long gun.

  • which is why lots of us soldiers carry an ak-47 as a back up rifle

  • An accurized back-up gun would be far better.

  • For us poor people who pay for liberals to make babies and smoke weed with our taxes the SKS is great for the price. LOL Id love a better weopon but im afraid with the threat of socialism or communism people are jacking up the prices even more so!! SHIT!! LOL

  • how much for a sks like his ??????

  • MY M1a has a stripper clip guide on it. 1:45 Because unlike any other weapon (except a m1a)

  • I'm very aware of the M14 having a stripper clip capability and have helped create a new bullpup M14 that exploits this. Many other rifles use stripper clips. Its unlike any other weapon in the U.S. MILITARY other than M14s.

  • I like your gear, but I am not so sure about carrying a secondary weapon..why not just carry more m16 ammo? A pick up is handy if needed. ( I think we are more apt to be combating NATO troops armed with m16's) Anyway, I think the wood stock on the sks makes a great skull crusher..plastic? No. BUT, I like that sks the way you got it rigged. Nice.

  • uSE THE ENEMYS WEAPON!

  • damn lol. i learnt to do this when i was around ten. i love the sks. when i was in iraq, i made an sks full auto and kept it behind me in my apc.

  • Exactly. You were not carrying it on your back, the M113 Gavin was doing it.

  • nah i drove a bradley m2a2... i almost get hardon when it fires the 25mm chaingun

  • At least you understand the concept of a VEHICLE carrying the back-up gun.

  • I didn't know that the SKS was being used by Iraqi insurgents.

  • Google image search captured weapons iraq or afghanistan

  • Better to already have an enemy weapon that is zeroed and upgraded.

  • Also, when I was operating out of An-Nasiriyah, Iraq, most of the country was in regular resupply. The only region that was remote was the Anbar province, and even then aerial resupply was a VERY realistic approach. While the logic of carrying a weapon that can fire enemy rounds is sound, it's execution leaves much to be desired as it gives the enemy the ability to have a constant supply of weapons from friendlies KIA.

  • YOU ARE NOT READING THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION. You are ignoring NATION-STATE WAR when we are moving from an allied base hundreds of miles to take-down an enemy nation. Citing the ease we find with the current weak sub-national conflict in Iraq is no validation for anything.

  • and when exactly are you planning to do that? just please let us know in advance, so that we can prepare enough ammo to "share" with you! :-))))))))))))))))

  • WE ARE NOT YOUR ENEMY. The enemy is either Islamics or the Fascist war profiteers instigating these "wars".

  • i guess you don't understand a quite simple thing: a big guy isn't gonna be punched in a face if he doesn't start a fight. The US is treating Asia, Europe, Middle East, Central Asia, Latin and South America etc as it's own back yard. Until you guys realize that this is wrong - you'll have enemies everywhere.

  • I more than understand...that's why I'm allowing your post. I AGREE. However, WE, the American people and Soldiers are not your enemies, we should be allies. A small fascist Nazi clique of Bush GOP republicans have just been tossed from power, now we have mild socialists in charge, we are doing what we can to stop corporate greed-driven foreign policy..keep the faith!

  • I would rather use a Tapco Fusion stock with hand-painted camo, but the folding option also works.

Also, the Soviet SVT-40, the German Gewehr 41 and M14 could use stripper clips. In fact, it was the prefered way to load an SVT-40 and the G41.

Also, the Chinese used to make an SKS that accepted AK47 magazines. Another item to note is that the Serbian/Yugoslavian AK47 magazines are built to lock the bolt back with it's follower, like a GI 30 round M1/M2/M3 Carbine magazine.

  • The AR15 can shoot the 7.62x39 round if it is chambered for it. Colt produced an AR15 from the factory for this round. You can also build a spare upper for your AR chambered for it. It takes less than 2 minutes to change the entire upper. "C" products make the 30 round mags for your AR chambered for the 7.62x39. I personally love the sks and shoot it more often than the AR15.

  • That option is the "M16A5" described in the video description.

  • come on "wood furniture"? I think its sexy.

  • Plastic is more durable if its of a high-quality.

  • There are some new weapons that have been made that simply use a barrel change and you can run 7.62x39. 223, and even 308 out of the same gun. So you don't have to cart the entire gun around, just the barrels and some magazines.

  • READ VIDEO M16A5 DESCRIPTION.

  • What kind of optics mount is that on the M16/AR15?

  • M68 CCO (COMP-M)

  • are soldiers allowed to bring their own secondary weapons? like you said?

  • In elite units--not rank & file where lemmings are baby-sat.

  • That's a given but there's gotta be some sort of restrictions I mean you cant be packing full-auto pistols or a .50 cal.... can you?

What about ammunition? Can you spit tracers at unarmored soldiers?

  • You can.

  • The goal is to get a perfected SKS or AKM type weapon with quick-change barrels/mag wells that can shoot the prevailing enemy ammo in a pinch adopted BY THE ARMY AS A WHOLE.

  • good video, your right about having a convenient backup gun for not so ideal situations

how did you get that magazine to use stripper clips, i have one exactly like it and mine wont feed with stripper clips no matter what I do.

  • First, get proficient with using the 10-round integral box magazine the SKS comes with to get stripper clip loading skills. Then, work on the loading of 20 which is more difficult as the spring pressure increases. The idea is to top-off with 10--not 20--as you go. The ideal SKS would have this perfected and shoot AKM mags.

  • Hey, do you think I could store my 20 and 30 round SKS mags fully loaded for long periods of time, like 8-9 months without the springs weaking?

  • themanfromwyoming: actualy, you can ...... I just unloaded three Tapco SKS mags last week that I've had fully loaded for about 6-7 months and no problems..... my glock mags that I carry every day have been loaded for over two years and no problems ...... no bullshit.

  • I wouldnt! hi cap sks mags tend to be cheaply made and any long term pressure on the mag spring tends to wear it out. I bought a type56 a guy had and he keep the 30 round mag stacked full for like 3 months before i got it and i had to buy a new spring because of feeding issues.

  • Mil-Spec mags would be part of the military variant.

  • @themanfromwyoming Leaving springs loaded doesn't weaken them, repeatedly compressing and decompressing does; leave all of your mags loaded.

  • I APPRECIATE, this video and reading the positive criticism but i do think( tapco t6)stocks are better than (ati folding stocks) the folder is poorly designed, small rocks, snow, mud, and dirt can build up in the folder were the button is pressed in.

  • What kind of grip tape do you have one that M4?

  • From McNett, we have a FX video posted on how to do this.

  • The countries that we would fight who do have the capability of standing toe to toe with us long enough to cause resupply do not use 7.62x39. China uses 5.8x42 and Russia uses 5.45x39. North Korea may still equip their infantry with AKs but our chances of going to war with them exclusively is teetering barely above zero. All of our allies use a weapon chambered in 5.56.

  • The sub-national conflict (SNC) foes we face in Iraq/Afghanistan shoot 7.62mm x 39mm Soviet rounds. For nation-state wars (NSWs) the back-up gun's barrels and mag wells would be changeable to the required ammo type they enemy uses. Think this through--don't just be an asshole contrarian.

  • U.S. soldiers are already over encumbered as it is. You want them to carry another rifle just in case.

  • READ video description. What part of VEHICLE carries the back-up guns do you not understand?

  • Under this logic, might as well just carry a Ma-Duce and ammo for it.

    Its just as feasable...

  • Yes, we should...its called a M113 Gavin tracked APC/light tank and it comes with a Ma Deuce (M2) .50 caliber heavy machine gun. READ the video description. It says the back-up enemy ammo shooting guns will be carried in the VEHICLE.

  • The idea of humping 2 weapons is not appealing to me. Think like the Soviets did - the caliber. They always go one up on caliber so they can use enemy ammo in their equipment - 81mm rounds in their 82mm, for example. I love Soviet weapons, was trained on them, too. But the 7.62x39 isn't the ultimate round (and neither is 5.56). Personally, I'd go with the 6.5 Grendel. If you want to carry extra shit, I'd have a 6.5 upper on the 5.56 lower, and carry the 5.56 upper JIC. 6.5mm beats 5.56 and 7.62.

  • WHAT PART OF HAVING YOUR MOTOR VEHICLE CARRY THE RUSSIAN AMMO BACK-UP WEAPON did you miss?

  • When I humped a ruck with the airborne infantry we had no vehicle to carry any ammo or extra weapons. We humped 5.56, 7.62, 40mm, and 60mm. So carrying another weapon that we may never shoot is extra weight, better devoted to increasing basic loads of 5.56 and 7.62.

I appreciate your idea if we were discussing a covert/clandestine op, but not for conventional warfare.

  • V-E-H-I-C-L-E.

  • why not just convert it to ak mags, or even easier buy an AK.

  • The ideal back-up SKS would shoot AKM mags, too.

  • Out of ammo? Call in an air strike and walk out of there.

The US military is also working on a "JDAM resupply" which is a regular JDAM only instead of being full of explosives it is stuffed full of ammo, replacement parts, anti tank weapons or whatever a soldier needs and it can be delivered to land by parachute almost right on top of your position.

Also I think the weight of an SKS they would rather have that weight for 5.56mm on stripper clips (approx 250 rounds) then pick up an enemy AK

  • Your 250 rounds of 5.56mm in stripper clips will run out long before using the enemy's ammo will. Be smart, already have a zeroed weapon able to shoot his ammo.

  • I think I'd rather get aerial resupply from a door bundle or a palletized drop, JDAMs could get mislabelled..... Murphy is everywhere!

  • And when your preference (resupply of U.S. ammo) doesn't show up?

  • Get an AK

  • When? Beforehand? That's an option. If you wait to capture an enemy weapon it will not be zeroed to you and probably will not be configured to shoot at night. Be prepared beforehand with your own weapon that shoots enemy ammo.

  • You basically make a bunch of points about the SKS which is a great gun but the magazines are ridiculous , an AK has a detachable magazine and they dont have the duckbill on them so it makes for easier carry . The SKS is just old and the Commies picked the AK over it , so they know what it can do . Maybe carry a couple fully loaded AK mags in case , but I dont think your gunna be running out , plus not all enemies we will be fighting will be using the 7.62 .

  • The SKS back-up gun would not use duck-bill mags but would load AKM mags in addition to stripper clips. READ the video description, we do run out of ammo in war. Shit happens.

  • and how do you suppose we get these sks's? go around whenever we kill one of them take their gun?

  • We have THOUSANDS of captured enemy guns. We usually destroy them when we should at least use them for familiarization war practice.

  • i love my sks

  • love the sks..and your video,it was awsome.

    PLEASE make more vid's....thanks

  • clean up the audio and it wouldnt be a bad video. =)

Can you elaborate where to get the add on for the sks to be able to use ak mags like you said ?

  • Couldn't you just take the aks from the enemy or are they crap and will like blow up in your hand?

  • You can and we advocate this for weapons mounted on the outside of vehicles in battery, but IT WILL NOT BE SIGHTED IN FOR YOU TO SHOOT IT ACCURATELY nor have reflex firing/night sights that an ahead-of-time configured SKS or AKM could have. Be prepared beats ad hoc.

  • Oh I see. Good Idea.

  • Storolf writes: "issuing soldiers a modular rifle, such as the XCR, so they'd just have to carry an extra barrel and bolt, and have the ability to switch between 556x45 and 762x39 at will."

  • The video description says VEHICLES will carry captured enemy weapons.

The web page listed describes a modular "M16A5" rifle that shoots enemy ammo option.

  • Just have to carry it, not to mention... swap them in combat situations. A good back-up will never cost you your life.

  • I hate it when i get stuck far, far away from my forward operating base.

  • You mean like this?

French troops 'ran out of ammunition' in Afghanistan

Ten French Soldiers killed by Taliban fighters last month in Afghanistan were woefully ill-equipped, according to a report citing a classified Nato document.

  • Good idea, stripper clips are alot lighter than mags, too.

  • is a bad guy....

    Hell just look at Finland...

They reworked captured Russian M91/30 rifles so they could use captured ammo....

But now they have a very BAD relationship...

  • Look man...I LOVE the SKS but the fact of the matter is that the military will never consider such a weapon in any official form because it is synonymous with communist governments.

BTW...real AK47's have a bolt hold open feature.

BTW...one of the requirements of the military's new weapon is to have the ability to fire captured enemy rounds with a different upper/barrel.

  • Interesting...tell us more about the new requirement...our "M16A5" proposal must have had some impact...

Most AKMs don't have bolt hold-open feature; I guess they are not "real" so we don't have to worry about them though.

  • Well I suppose I used the word "requirement" in error...

I would call it a deal beaker if the new design doesn't incorporate the use of 7.62x39mm components.

H&K got geared up to churn the XM8 out for the military...they even moved the machinery to N.C. to begin the work...

Well the XM8 had a feature where you could swap an upper and magazines and use 7.62x39mm in their weapon...the military liked the idea but because of a combination of cost and government bureaucracy they capped it.

  • So...

After H&K got capped on this side of the ocean....we pissed them off...so they kep the patent and we stuck with the POS M4.

The M4 must cost a hell of a lot less to make than the XM8...

So...military officials still liked the idea of the round interchangability and wanted to have a provision for such...

Whether or not it will happen? probably not....here's why:

By chambering a weapon in a caliber that your enemy uses, you are pretty much saying that anybody who uses that

  • Saying what? This isn't a fashion show. If we run out of U.S. ammo we need to be able to shoot enemy ammo. Period. End of story.

  • I see someone brought up the vz-58. Its a good gun but why spend 800 to 1000 bucks when you can buy a $300 sks and put a $80 stock on it and have the same gun. More money in your pocket for acceries.

  • What mags are these? I've heard aftermarket aren't reliable.

  • TAPCO in the video.

  • Based on what I've been hearing, TAPCO apparently makes some of the best SKS banana mags. Would you concur?

  • TAPCO does make the best 7.62x39 mags, especially for the SKS.

  • hk417 chambered for 7,62bloc would have looked good...

  • Stay away from duckbills, avoid them like the plague, very few are reliable, stripper clips are very small and take about the same amount of time to reload as a mag.

  • I keep just one duckbill attached all the time in my SKS and feed stripper clips into it. Detaching duckbill bags is an invite to a stoppage....and they don't load into a load bearing pouch, either.

  • the magazine is bent.

  • 7.62mm x 39mm Soviet rounds are TAPERED so they need curved magazines to stack and load right.

  • good vid. though, I love my sks.

  • easy solution would be just to carry a 7.62x39 upper and a couple of mags lol

  • This is the multiple-cartridge shooting "M16A5" option described in detail in the video description's web pages.

  • VZ58 can do all this, uses 30 rounders and can load from stripper clips, and its light as well. Just a thought. Real reliable to, mines never had issues with any ammo i feed it, which ironically is Czech steel case.

  • FANTASTIC FEEDBACK!

    I'll look up the VZ58.

    Thanks for informing us.

  • Dude you uploaded this on my b-day!

  • isn't there a new assault rifle that can be modded during battle to take 7.62. i saw it on future weapons. all you have to do is combat strip and replace the barrel or something and voila. i don't remember much else besides that it had good power and accuracy.

  • Go to the web page links in the video description for details.

  • good idea... it would most definitely keep the advantage in our playing field

"As for the problem you are trying to solve, which is US Army running out of ammo... Just keep your troops at home and don't invade other countries :-D"

  • Can you load the M14 the same way?

  • Yes, the M14 can be loaded from 10-round stripper clips of NATO 7.62mm x 51mm ammo--not the same cartridges as the Soviet 7.62mm x 39mm we need to be able to use against the enemy...

  • but that's just my 2 cents, lol

  • that's a great idea, but i think we need is the m14 in 7.62X39, cause u have a US weapon that is more accurate than the m16 (don't like it, the truth hurts, lol), with the punch of a 7.62 and the recoil of a 556, with the around the same weight as the m16 (9lbs) not only that, you have the same options with much less work if the m14 could be made into a 7.62X39 rifle

  • Very interesting idea...I think there already is a Mini-14 model that shoots 7.62mm x 39mm Soviet cartridges, too! We should look into this. If we could get one that loads stripper clips from the top and AKM mags from below....

  • yeah and it wouldn't be hard to modify the mini-30 to accept ak mags either

and the acutual m14 has stripper clip guides

  • 7.62x39 in an M14 would drop too quickly if you are utilizing it for the role that it's currently being used for; namely sniping. I'd rather stick with the 7.62x51 myself.

  • taofledermaus writes:

If you can pick up their ammo, why not pick up their weapons too, which would be compatible with the ammo you picked up?

If every troop carried an extra weapon that was compatible with the enemy's ammo, and that troop was killed or captured, it would give THEM two weapons, one of them being compatible with their ammo all ready.

  • That's what we propose; READ THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION AND GO TO THE WEB PAGES OFFERED.

The captured enemy weapons would attach to the outside of vehicles to be fired in battery. The optimized M16A5 or SKS would fire enemy ammo with personalized accuracy and the same optics used when we had American ammo; captured weapons will not be this accurate.

  • nice trigger control. :/

  • Straight trigger finger is the best safety. =o)

  • I find your idea interesting. My one question is why a 7.62x39 gun? It seems you are assuming a broader war between two first-line armies and not a militia war like in Iraq, right? Why is 7.62 a good extra to have, then? No first line military uses the 7.62x39 anymore, IIRC. Russia has gone to the 5.45, and N. Korea is switching to that same caliber. China is moving to the 5.8x42. Wars against most nations that use the x39 would turn into guerrilla conflicts like now in Iraq, it seems to me.
