  • Oh man, classic stuff. "Stand still stranger.... and tell me who you are". My brother and I laughed our heads off when we saw that as kids, and it's still just as funny today.

  • Did anyone notice that Edmund is the only child with a british accent

  • i loved this movie ever since i first saw it.

this is a great story about a girl who discovers a magic country inside a wardrobe.

i give this movie two thumbs up.

it's also my favorite copy of the movie.

  • The goblin who drives the sleigh looks like one of the characters from Yellow Submarine.

  • (02:59 to 04:04) That voice! Sounds like the Jibblies painting; "Come on in heeeeere."

  • (03:59 to 04:03) "The Queen's sacred Glory"? - what's that?

  • All he needs to do is have his arms in position and he'd be walking "like an egyptian" (Song by the bangles)

  • that wolf is hilarious lol

  • they are gonna shit on the throwns lol!!!!

  • It souns like peter is singing in 0:11

  • yeah i agree

  • Has anyone noticed this movie might be out of order?

  • the numbers are just wrong.

  • NOOOOO!!!!! I strictly told edmund NOT to go to the Gay bar!!! GRRRR HE NEVER LISTENS! haahahaha lol!

  • I love the queen! She's awesome!

  • It's funny how they kept using the same frame's for that chase scene though. They kept making the wolf leap at us so close we could see the wild hunger in it's eyes. With the name of the wolf when I first read the book the U.S. had changed the name to Fenris Ulf so when Adamson's movie came out and I heard the wolf's name was changed to Maugrim I was a little annoyed with it until I heard that's the real name. Still I like the reference to Fenrir from Scandinavian legend.

  • The dwrf looks like a mutated smurf, but still the animation has a certain charm to it I'll admit. Maybe not as good as say Rankin Bass's animated Hobbit movie, but still good. And yes I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to movies and famous books like this. Not a big one but enough to appreciate the amount of time taken to write this book and what's more to make a movie out of it.

  • I love how the coffee is waiting for them in the hiding place LOL

  • Mr. Beaver sounds like John McCain! hahaha!!

  • Yeah, he does!

  • it explains in the book that her turkish delight is like a charm, and it'll make you crave it.

  • Probably representative of drugs.

  • what the hell is with this kid and turkish delight?

  • i dont know but i had one they r nasty

  • that beaver sounds like he likes rough buttsex

  • In this version, it is Fenris Ulf instead of Maugrim

  • The American version of the Chronicles have Maugrim called Fenris Ulf.

  • I always thought that was stupid that they changed his name. They followed very close to the books in all other respects.

  • she says Aslan doesn't know much of the great magic wait and see what happens

  • I always loved the depictions of all these great fantasically majestic fantasy creatures. And I love that the wolf is Fenris of Norse mythology.

  • You all can shut the fuck up.

    This is absoloute classic stuff.

    :)

  • hey!im deepy offended!

im american and I am not responsible for this!

  • You're a moron.

  • This was a simple, low budget 70's television special. This is certainly no representation of all American entertainment.

    Why take it so seriously?

Would you say the same thing if there were say...a Japanese version of the story? A French version of Alice in Wonderland or an Italian Peter Pan, perhaps?

Every country is going to localize.

Still, the story looks pretty intact otherwise. I would think the story could rise above such a thing.

  • Why do I keep worrying that her dwarf is going to steal my pizza?

  • Edmund reminds me of people (a lot of whom I seem to be meeting lately) who kid themselves that wrong is right and doing bad stuff is okay because it's misunderstood.

  • Examples?

  • Philip Pullman, for starters

  • Damn Edmund and is big mouth, lol. The Witch would of never known about Ashlan and The Stone Table; because of him. When, she says" Is this all your news?" She was just being sarcastic; she didn't have a clue about it or anything.

  • When, The White Witch says, "I will call all 4 humans before they reach the stone table", it's a line blopper. Edmund is right in front of her. There would be only 3 humans going to the stone table.

  • Aslan. Do you know what he is symbolic, too? This whole movie is Symbolic..

  • I can answer that, Beyondthesurface83. Aslan symbolizes Jesus(Son of God), Narnia is the world, the White Witch is Satan(the Devil), and the Peter and his siblings represent the Children of God, destined to rule with Him when He returns to defeat Satan and restore the world once and for all! :)

  • Yes, CS Lewis who wrote the book was a reknowned thological writer!

  • Converted by his good friend JRR Tolkien!

  • this is the KEY to the movie.. Aslan

  • I love this movie. This version
