    Don't call her a slut.

  • @mzfiesty I just now saw that other poster's disgusting comment! I have removed it! Thanks for bringing it to my attention with your comment.

  • What a voice .. Miss Francis had a wonderful voice!!

  • @MANUELFARINELLI

    Very underrated.

  • No where on You Tube is there Dionne Warwicks versionn of this song. The one I'm most familiar with. Wish someone would post that one. This is way too fast.

  • @motowngirl65 "Wives and Lovers" was a huge hit for Jack Jones in 1963. He won a Grammy Award for it in 1964. Dionne Warwick recorded it in 1965. The song was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David for the movie of the same name. It has been recorded by numerous male and female vocalists, instrumentalists and ensembles. Connie simply included it on her LP of great movie hits of the '60s. I like her version a lot. There are many other fine ones, too, including Dionne's.

  • @motowngirl65 Dionne Warwick's version is up now. Id put the link but this reply won't let me.

  • Thanks for posting this Ken. I love this song and the whole album by golly. Will

  • I like this version the best :)

  • Great version of a great song! Connie could be a Jazz singer amongst everthing else!

  • @stlgtrace You are so right! I love her version, too!

  • I love Connie's version of this song! This was used in the opening credits of the movie: The First Wives Club and I wish they would have used Connie's recording instead of the version they used! Thanks for posting!

  • this isn't the version in first wives club. it's to fast. and she doesn't hit the notes right.

  • @merrydorrell We know it wasn't in the movie. The other person commenting meant that he wished her version had been used. The original version is by Jack Jones and was a big hit.

  • @merrydorrell

The version from the Wives club is sung by Dionne Warwick. In my opinion, Dionne does the best job. She's the only one that makes the song sound haunting, and almost sad. I don't like this peppy version at all.
