I think the fact is john will say whatever he wants but when push comes to shove if john gets the chance he'll do it. I wouldnt be surprised if he runs 2012 if he has the opportunity, bit like Joe bidden saying how inexperienced Obama is but when he gets the chance to work with him he says how capable is.
Poor GOP Crime Family McCain. Like Tony Soprano and his C-Street Family, John MCain bombed the South China Sea oil targets, went to prison but came out wealthy co-authoring GOP-PNAC's 911 New Pearl Harbor with oil allies Cheney and Likud Bill Kristol, The GOP Crime Family accidentally invaded the SECRET GOP Energy Task Force targets. Iraq & next Iran's. Oil flows into GOP camapign funds via Houston, TX by taxpaid oil invasion. These wealthy GOP Soprano patriots goofed-up & got wealthy again.
During the campaign, McCain tried to distance himself as much from Bush as possible. He claimed he did not agree, nor voted for Bush's failed policies. Yet in this video, he admits himself that he campaigned for Bush to be re-elected, signifying that he did in fact agree with Bush on most issues. He really should have thought hard about running for president in 2008, to see if his past actions would catch up with him --for voting for an unpopular president.
McCain was an amazing progressive republican back in that day.. would have been a better president the bush running on his own ideals not on the right wing biggots
mccain did the same thing hilary did, he waited they should of had ran when the time is right mccain should of ran in 2000 and hilary should of ran in 2004 when every 1 was expecting that from her..
The flagship journal of the APA, with one of the highest impact factors of scientific journals in its discipline, had a recent article investigating the relationship between political orientation and IQ. Results showed that the more socially liberal you are, the higher your IQ. Put differently, the less socially liberal you are, the more of an ignorant inbred hillbilly you are.
James Buchanan is probably the worst President to have served due to him failing to avert the Civil War but had the most experience in government at 30 years. Lincoln is usually considered one of the top presidents and only had 2 years of experience at the national level.
obama is no lincoln. just because lincoln made it so that barrack could one day run for office does not make it fair to compare the two. barrach has done nothing thus far and the comparison is, quite frankly, absurd.
Why is it absurd? Lincoln had done virtually nothing when he became president. In fact, he had arguably done less the Obama. Much like Obama, he gave a speech while campaining for a senate seat (though he lost his campaign and Obama won) just a few years before his presidency, which put him on the national spotlight. Other than that, all he had was two years experience in the House of Representatives I think. So there are many similiarities at-leasat in the pre-President lives of the two.
its just way too early to start comparing him to lincoln just because Lincoln hadnt done much at the time. first of all he hasnt been elected president, second of all even if he is dosent mean he will do anything remotely as great as Lincoln. I also dont think Honest Abe had a bunch of shady relationships with religious radicals and domestic terrorists. Oh yeah... and wasnt abe assasinated? Come on get real here. Obama is no Abraham Lincoln.
the original comment made a comparison to Lincoln and Obama not Pre-Presidential Lincoln and Pre-Presidential Obama. The comparison implys that barrack will be president and will do something great one day that distinguishes him to be a cut above the rest of the US Presidents. This ia an absolute stretch. Get your nose out of the books and get the whole story next time you post a comment. Its back to the drawing boards for you little missy.
having your nose in the books is how you get one side of the story. Reading, listening, seeing, talking, and experiencing life is how you get the whole story.
Lincoln ran back in the 1800's, the election system wasn't as complex and demanding back then. and did you just say the Lincold arguably did less than Obama has done??? Seriously?
Lincoln arguably did less than Obama had done during the period of their lives when they were running for President. He was one of the least experienced people to ever be elected, that is a known fact.
Lincoln ran in 1861, Obama ran in 2008, believe it or not in those 150 years the required experience for presidency has changed greatly. Someone who had little experience back then was much more acceptable
I think thats debatable. Our past two Presidents (Bush/Clinton) only had state level executive experience as governors. Obama has 8 years of experience as a state legislator, 4 as a US senator (though half of it was spent campaigning), and no executive experience at all..... So even 150 years later, experience isn't necessarily a prerequisite. Some people actually view a long Washington resume as a bad thing as some of our most experienced Presidents have also been very bad Presidents.
True that some of our most experienced presidents have been awful Bush and Clinton definetely had more experience than Obama. I have never heard of Obama has very little experience on the National level
I agree with you, Obama has virtually no experience on the national level. Until his speech at the 2004 DNC, he was a no-name, and most people including myself, still had no idea who he was when he announced his run. However, I would still say he is more experienced than Bush was in 2000. All Bush had was 4 years as a gov
Sorry, posted before I was done by accident. All Bush had was 4 years as a governor. Obama at least has experience at the national level, though I do admit it is minimal. There is a misconception that Bush was more experienced than he actually was simply because he had a dad who was President, but in my opinion, being President is not a family business, so having a father who was President in no way qualifies one.
Well thank you haha, i completely forgot about this little debate. I read through it and it made me chuckle when fark said "Obama has arguably done more than Lincoln, especially since Obama hadn't even entered office when he said that, so all he did was campaign for himself, while Lincoln helped free the slaves..
And you might want to know, Lincoln wasn't as "Honest" as people say he is.. He suspended habeas corpus, which made a lot of people mad, And he also spent a ton of money without congressional approval..
I think it's a foreshadow for the next 4 years and I'm interested to see how we are going to be "surprised"
You're actually comparing the actions of Lincoln when half the country seceded and the nation was embroiled in civil war to the prospective actions of a man who campaigned about restoring civil liberties-which makes your statement more idiotic. Re-read your history textbook-Lincoln saved the union, and is considered the greatest president ever. The depth of your acumen is pathetic.
I'd say I was about right when I wrote that comment, and I'm still right...
The way the government is stepping in and taxing every penny of the AIG bonuses is just a political stunt... trying to win the minds of the people of this country by making them think they're geting those mean CEO's back because of a mistake that our lawmakers made, and telling us they're giving it back? Come on, everything he has done so far has been a lace veil that most clear thinking people can see right through.

Bush, and by 2008, I think I might be ready to go down to the old soldiers home and await the cavalry charge there.

You're right. I'm really not a racist my drummer who is my good friend is 100% black... he's a great guy, funny thing is he's the one who always calls Obama a lying fuckin nigger. My black drummer hates Obama more than me. So, anyway... but he happens to be right. There are black people and there are niggers. Just like there are white people who are lying niggers or white trash same thing. Obama happens to be half white trash and half nigger so he's the worst of both worlds... dude!
see this is the McCain we used to like now he's just making up stuff, and misleading, he's acting more childish in this campaign and i think its more because people are telling him to do this in his campaign he should just act like himself and stop listening to his LOBBYISTS
Now we know who he picked for his running-mate! We know how his thinking processes work. They are not too good, because she is a DINGBAT with no foreign policy experience whatsoever!!! This is proof that McCain't is in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease, even sooner than Reagan was in his disorder. It also means that he needs a Vice President desperately, and we would be stuck with this DINGBAT, should anything happen to him, including a recurrence of his malignant melanoma!!! AMAZING!
What do you mean foreign policy experience? How the hell is he supposed to get that if he hasn't been president yet. His attitude towards foreign policy is a lot stronger than what I hear from McCain. McCain only knows war, Obama isn't afraid of ANYONE but knows DIPLOMACY.
Is America AWAKE? McCain is past retirement age. I am sorry, this is the big league. We need someone from mid 40s at the minimum to mid 60s at the latest, because, if successful, we can get two terms from the President. I am shocked by the stupidity of the Repubiclan Party...and then to hire a VP that is a hockey mom. DECICION_MAKING ABILITIES ARE IMPAIRED.

He's running bc the republicans needed someone strong to run against clinton/obama. he is by far the best canidate in '08. its funny, as old as he is, he still has more common sense than his democratic rivals. Dems should be so happy the republicans nominated not only someone who works with the dems to come to a compromise, but actually almost left the rep. party to become a democrat.

have you ever noticed the CEO of a business tends to be older than everyone else. its because theyre more experianced, wiser, and more knowledgeable. people trust them to know what theyre doing. his competition would be like hiring the new guy, which he is with only 140+ days in the senate, to close a big client. that would be a terrible business move.
except the country isn't a business, and is not like running a business where a single axis of decision-making is involved (i.e. the world of that one company in that one business). And most CEO's dont have PTSD from being beaten for five years.
I wonder who his running mate is going to be? Cause this is a little true, he would be the oldest person ever elected president if by some fluke he won.

So I guess 4 more years is enough experience? Haven't people learned their lesson in putting George Bush in..we don't need another "likeability" candidate. We need an experienced leader.
McCain is NOT too old. He is 3 years older than Ronald Reagan was when he was elected and he served 2 terms and was one of the best presidents we have ever had.

Tell it to ending the cold war. Tell it creating tons of new jobs. Tell it to the incredibly popular ratings he received as he left office.
And it was a Democrat who started the National Debt we are in..FDR. His huge government programs started this country on a debt we have never recovered from. And Obama wants to expand it even more.
The solution to fixing government is not creating more government. When Government expands, liberty contracts.
That explains why there's no liberty (or happiness) in social democracies, like Sweden.
It's more than a little disingenuous to blame FDR for the national debt when Reagan and Bush expanded it by an order of magnitude. THEY WERE NOT BIG FANS OF SOCIAL SERVICES, so point your finger somewhere else.
Do we want democracy, as our founding fathers intended it, or a continuation of this controlled access GOP government? Trust them to make decisions for us and give up the independence the founding fathers earned.
John McCain is a great American. He has a great sense of humor which he showed when he joked about the old soldiers home. Americans are living longer and playing longer. John is in great shape. He is not expected or required to run to the Press and tell them every time he gets a pimple on his ass.

John McCain in his own words ( said in THIS CAMPAIGN! )

-"Americans are better off than they were 8 years ago"
-"we're worse off than we were four years ago""
-"THE FUNDAMENTALS OF OUR ECONOMY ARE STRONG, but we are in a Total Crisis" ?????
Then to top it all off:
Top McCain Economic Adviser Carly Fiorina-
" MCCAIN COULDN'T RUN A COMPANY"

McCain of 2000 is WAY better than McCain of 2008. He should have been the nominee instead of Dubya.

AMAZING!

Can you please inform me of what foreign policy experience Obama brings to the table?

Biden
sebass867 3 years ago
So, the only policy experience Obama brings is his candidate for vice president?
dodgerboy86 3 years ago

McCain is a senile fool who has no clue about the economy and he admitted it.

He's running bc the republicans needed someone strong to run against clinton/obama. he is by far the best canidate in '08. its funny, as old as he is, he still has more common sense than his democratic rivals. Dems should be so happy the republicans nominated not only someone who works with the dems to come to a compromise, but actually almost left the rep. party to become a democrat.

have you ever noticed the CEO of a business tends to be older than everyone else. its because theyre more experianced, wiser, and more knowledgeable. people trust them to know what theyre doing. his competition would be like hiring the new guy, which he is with only 140+ days in the senate, to close a big client. that would be a terrible business move.
dimenic 3 years ago
except the country isn't a business, and is not like running a business where a single axis of decision-making is involved (i.e. the world of that one company in that one business). And most CEO's dont have PTSD from being beaten for five years.
No thanks.

"Young" McCain was right. It's 2008 now, and he has clearly become senile. Yet he still insists on running for President??
Vanity's a dangerous thing.

I wonder who his running mate is going to be? Cause this is a little true, he would be the oldest person ever elected president if by some fluke he won.
nephilymbass 3 years ago
yeah well in 2004 Obama said that he did not have any experience and therefor would not run for President in 2008. So both of them have said things.
Leevo1987 3 years ago
Obama has four years more experience, McCain is even older.

Leevo1987 3 years ago
Ronald Reagan had alzheimer's. That's a pretty terrible example.
bobbydanforth 3 years ago
That came along AFTER he was president. Reagan was a GREAT president.

Leevo1987 3 years ago

TruthnPolitics 3 years ago
In February, John McCain had an early stage squamous cell carcinoma, an easily cured skin cancer, removed.
This was KEPT SECRET from the public while IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN!
This startling fact only came to light earlier this week when reporters were given strenuously enforced limited access to McCain's health records.
Another super-secret Republican! Just what 72% of Americans are sick and tired of!
