I don't like Ferdinands voice. I saw a Climax locomotive and thought, "Ooh, maybe they'll have a gruff american accent for him." But no. They make him sound goofy. Makes sense though as he his a goofy engine. I just wish they would add a Shay with a voice similar to Sam Elliott and a Heisler as a female logging engine with a soft, subtle southern accent. This will bring some repect back to the american logging locomotives.

These repeats are getting a little old... I really do miss the old series where it was just the narrator and there was no CGI stuff. Now, without the whole facial expressions, I can't even understand what's going on. :( While my favourite character is Gordon, I'm extremely disappointed with the way he was portrayed. I hope there will be no more repeats like this...

Isn't it strange that there are 3 episodes in which a sodor engine has to work most of the day with one of the logging locos? That's poor plotting and title creativity.

@TMRReturns It's an illusion that HiT have got well in the CGI, if you saw Calling All Engines (even though it sucked) when Thomas tries to push the flatbed, his wheels spin, but it looks like they're still with the coupling rods moving by themselves. Try it with a model train, push it into some buffers. Have it keep pushing and the wheels will look like they're not moving. :3
Why does Gordon suddenly dislike Ferdinand he seemed to get on ok with him in previous episodes and misty island rescue, he likes him by the end of this episode but I bet he'll hate him again another time 5:45 love the music and that as Gordon loses the Lion of sodor
Day of the diesels introduces new diesels (god cares about their names), So if the can make those characters, do they have what it takes to bring Duck, Bill & Ben to the CGI world?.

it sometimes makes me wonder whether nitrogen studios are making the engine's cross facial expressions, the engine's equivelent of a facepalm at some of the stupidity around sodor, think about it... in MIR, when thomas is rhyming after he says that they'll use "hee-haw" look at bash's or dash's face, you can tell he's like... "oh my god you gotta be kidding me..." correct me if im wrong. Heres another thought.... bash and dash vs bill and ben... anyone? anyone? just me?
you think the series has failed then they make an episode slightly better. this was seriously a most excellent episode though. loved how ferdinland got a good few lines in but was really dissapointed by gordon not thinking to himself. i mean saying i don't listen to funny frumpy engines out loud is kinda stupid, ferdinand does have ears y'know .wait no he doesn't???

I'll give the animation and effects a thumbs up(Love the scene with Gordon's drivers spinning with sparks flying while he was trying stop), but for the plot, writing and dialogue, two thumbs down.
"Gordon's pride was in pieces..." That's the funniest line of this episode!
You know, it would've helped to have Gordon's mouth shut while thinking his plan. Not to mention give his voice a bit more effect in thought mode, if you know what I mean.

OH MY GOD THIS EPISODE SUCKED! Its repetitive as hell, Gordon's been turned into an arrogant ass (big shock), the use of "frumpy" is just wierd, and here is my main gripe. Why is a back engine needed for pulling only a friggin statue? Is that statue SO heavy that Gordon can't pull it alone? Hell, THOMAS was able to pul that all by himself two seasons ago. In fact, even DUNCAN could haul a simple statue all by himself, and he's friggin SMALLER than them. Overall, this episode is a complete FAIL!

gordon is really judgemental in an earlier episode he judges rocky and now ferdinand now he ends up being helped by the pair.hit make him a bad character why not have him as just a little boastful instead of a complete dick

it sometimes makes me wonder whether nitrogen studios are making the engine's cross facial expressions, the engine's equivelent of a facepalm at some of the stupidity around sodor, think about it... in MIR, when thomas is rhyming after he says that they'll use "hee-haw" look at bash's or dash's face, you can tell he's like... "oh my god you gotta be kidding me..." correct me if im wrong. Heres another thought.... bash and dash vs bill and ben... anyone? anyone? just me?

you think the series has failed then they make an episode slightly better. this was seriously a most excellent episode though. loved how ferdinland got a good few lines in but was really dissapointed by gordon not thinking to himself. i mean saying i don't listen to funny frumpy engines out loud is kinda stupid, ferdinand does have ears y'know .wait no he doesn't???
anyway the 2 engines pulling 1 train as missoliverandblossom stated was stupid.

I'll give the animation and effects a thumbs up(Love the scene with Gordon's drivers spinning with sparks flying while he was trying stop), but for the plot, writing and dialogue, two thumbs down.

"Gordon's pride was in pieces..." That's the funniest line of this episode!
You know, it would've helped to have Gordon's mouth shut while thinking his plan. Not to mention give his voice a bit more effect in thought mode, if you know what I mean.
As for Ferdy, he sure expanded his lines, hasn't he?

OH MY GOD THIS EPISODE SUCKED! Its repetitive as hell, Gordon's been turned into an arrogant ass (big shock), the use of "frumpy" is just wierd, and here is my main gripe. Why is a back engine needed for pulling only a friggin statue? Is that statue SO heavy that Gordon can't pull it alone? Hell, THOMAS was able to pul that all by himself two seasons ago. In fact, even DUNCAN could haul a simple statue all by himself, and he's friggin SMALLER than them. Overall, this episode is a complete FAIL!

@missoliverandblossom i agree. the use of the word frumpy is quite frightening. i don't even know what that means. and they make gordon into an arrogant over confident character who judges other characters as the bad guy. in the original series yh he always went on about being fastest engine and being grand enough to pull the express but he was never this much of a pain in the ass. the statue thing would be appropriate if they made it bigger but having it small scale looks pathetic.

Gordon-the old RWS character focused on that is ruined
Ferdinland-the new HIT character that's really un-nessessary
Lion of Sodor-the typical task HIT gives to the engines
combine the lot and you've got a HIT episode, especially a S15 one.

@missoliverandblossom in case you haven't noticed, this series when downhill a long time ago, i stopped wating a long time ago, "The Great Discovery" "hero of the rails" made me want to watch it again, then i saw "Misty Island Rescuse", god that pissed me off, on another note i've seen your thomas episodes you make, i like them, but please get someone else to voice percy, i hate that voice, not trying to be mean just pointing it out. Back to the main topic every episodse is about the same damn

I must say, if the good Reverend as dissatisfied with the likes of "Henry's forest", he'd probably be on fire after watching this!

@TrainzMovieTheatre It's certainly not one for the books, but IMO, it was alright. It has a better rewatch value than some of the S13/S14 Thomas-based episodes :P
And this episode doesn't come close to being as bad as 'Henry's Magic Box'. Ugh that was bad...

Not too bad. 6/10 from me. Hearing Ferdinand saying stuff other than "That's Right" was a real treat. Maybe he's getting some character build this season. Same with Bash and Dash.
