I say pulstar should send me a set for free if they stand behind this product so much if they work ill buy more but I'm not about to fork out 80 for spark plugs for a ford focus
I bought my self a set for my 2001 Chevy Tahoe V8 5.3L. Big engine, lots of gas. In my effort to save on gas, I'll give these plugs a try. I normally run NGK Platinum because they have a wider spark than Iridium, which results in better MPG. Tested and confirmed on my engine. As of right now, my average MPG is 15.2, with 16.9 being my highest. I will try them and I'll let you know if its BS or the real deal. ;)
@05fordgtx1 I would also take NGK anyday. also the pulstar plug is brighter so the consumer is like wow more performance but to gearheads we know that the plug is holding enegry to produce a bigger spark and it was but it would retard timing because of the time to build spark even though you can advance timing 1 degree to make up for it, its not stable. Finally, if you replace ur sparkplugs with pulstar you will get better performance thats only because your old plugs are work. NGK for the WIN!!
Wow fellas don't hate now. Listen this is proven I got 40-60 extra mile with every apillcaition i put them the Celica gt and gts a rav 4. The ls1 motor in the C5 corvette. So embrace it I'm on my eight Or tenth set purchased for family and friend.
I used the Copper Pulstar Plugs in my 4 cylinder, 3.0L Mercruiser AD1c instead of Autolite AP104 Platinum Plugs. All I can say is wow. Engines starts in a revolution, idles better, better throttle response, more torque. Top end the same. The added torque on this 4 cylinder was worth the cost of the plugs. No idea on fuel economy improvement? I'd say the same but I haven't checked it.
Try out the E3 spark plugs vs Pulstar. I'd had them both on my car and you can feel the difference and see gas mileage gains but which one is better???
I don't think you are trying to fool anyone, but you should of disconnected from the spark plugs themselves as a skeptic would point out the cables could have different resistances.
That said how does a brighter spark under high pressure lead to better combustion?
just saying if these really worked every car maker would put them in and get a couple more MPG and brag about it. since they don't, I have to assume your plugs don't do anything.
@moofushu It was custom fabricated by Enerpulse; I think they would be in the $500 range or more. It has a vacuum pump to evacuate the chamber, plus a ac/dc converter and an ignition coil. Some wirehead friend of yours could probably build something like it. Great science project!
HEY PEOPLE NEW IRIDIUM TIP ELECTRODES HAVE BEEN INTRODUCED JUST A WEEK AGO!!!!! They Last for 100,000 miles!......I"M A FULL BELIEVER OF THIS PRODUCT!!! IT WORKS!!!!!!!! I GOT 40 Extra Miles Off of My Celica GT. That's completely Bone Stock!!! Then Put a Cold air intake on and Instantly with the plug Push my tank an Extra 100-150 mile MORE with a performance Muffler from Flowmaster (no header: but that would help too).
