It's an outright shame that so many people are decieved by this vile and loathsome religion that will not only destroy the body...but the soul as well...mormonism will lead people away from the "true" Christ with it laws and rules made to put people in "bondage" "HOW WILL THEY ESCAPE THE DAMNATIONS OF HELL!!
The jesus of m0rm0nISM is a fraud He is the son of His own sister, He is the brother of His own? mother, He is the uncle of His own brothers and sisters, and twice the son of his father.
ok. tell me how god didnt allow black people to hold the priesthood. it was after 1978 that the mormon leaders allowed black pleople in the "church". mormons say that it was god who didnt allow dark skin people in the "church" keep in mind that i am very aware that god would never say "YOU CANNOT ENTER MY CHURCH FOR THE BLACK SKIN I GAVE YOU" all mormon i've ased this question tell me to ask god. LOL. once again. god did not do this racist act! it was your mormon leaders! oh, and im not black
Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Zenos was in use prior to the Book of Mormon as a person's name. Zenos Riggs is listed in the 1873 Hanover, New Jersey census. Zenos Gurley, Sr., was born in 1801 at Bridgewater, New York, and later joined Mormonism. There is also Zenas in the New Testament, Titus 3:13.
how many men did jo smith kill? "thunda" simple question ;) i ask this same question and not one mormon have ever told me the right answer! are you going to look it up? or do you really know!??
@MALDITTOROKKERO No Joseph Smith didn't kill anyone. That was just a ridiculous question. You're crazy. If you want to have a real conversation, message me and lets talk.
@ThundaFrumDownUnda joseph smith shot and killed 2 people and shot but not killed a 3rd when he was in jail!!! this is in your own mormon history!! what kind of mormon are you? a brain-washed one!!!???!! you are just like the rest of the mormons! clueless about what you think you believe or know!!! get some info before you start accusing people of being crazy!!! you moron!! i mean... mormon
@ThundaFrumDownUnda just how i told you THUNDA it's in your "church" history! you can also find a ton of funny facts. yes!!! in your own mormon history! like the face in the hat trick. joseph smith saying he did more for us than jesus. but now that i see how BDPLIST is been explaining everything to you and you still dont get it. then im out! thank you and good luck! ;) take care
@ThundaFrumDownUnda oh let me pull the evidence out of my back poket! LOL. i can show you but it wont do any good! like i said, BDPLIST did a wonderful job explaining many things to you, and you're just comming out with all kinds of nonsense! oh and you sound like if you have the "gold plates" on your hands! ;) you and all mormons look funy when they're asked about the "gold plates" and all mormons have different stories about where the "gold plates" are! good luck
@MALDITTOROKKERO The actual gold plates have been retrieved by angels and are in the posession of God. So far you have done nothing to defend yourself.
@ThundaFrumDownUnda LOL.. i cant resist! this is fun! your dear mormon friends tell me that the "gold plates" are hidden somewhere here on earth!! as far as me defending myself... i already told you what you wanted/needed to know! stuborness will get you my dear! ;) if you have any questions. i guess i'll be here. i need another good laugh!
No one would be smart enough to make up all of this. Therefore, mormonism has to be true. BTW- I feel it to be true in my heart as well. You can't deny that shizz.
Jo stole much of the stories already found in the bible
He stole much of the Elizibethan English TEXT of the KJV word for word in the BoMormon
Jo stole many storys from others who told them first.
This is EASILY DOCUMENTED if you care to see!
Acts 28:27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes
@bdplist You think Joseph wrote The Book of Mormon? Haha. Maybe you should read it for yourself and gain the proper knowledge of it before you start making such accusations.
@ThundaFrumDownUnda maybe I have and can document the many examples of just exactly where joseph plagarized from other sources & then said it was an angel of light that gave him the book
@MALDITTOROKKERO Who says it has to be an amazing fairy tale? Truth is greater than any fairy tale. And I'm not sure if you read up on The Book of Mormon but there are some pretty awesome records in there. Maybe you shouldn't judge without the proper knowledge.
@iareilliterate The original Hill Cumorah where the final battle between the nephites and the lamanites took place was at a different location than the one we now know as the Hill Cumorah. The plates were originally buried in the first hill and a prophet called Moroni, who was the last nephite, who survived the great battle, he retrieved the plates from where his father had buried them to write a last and final record. Upon making an end to his record he was commanded to bury them.
@iareilliterate To bury them in the hill we now know as the Hill Cumorah. Once there they were to await the arrival of Joseph Smith to retrieve them. The angel Moroni himself came to Joseph to tell him where the record was stored so it could bring to pass the eternal salvation of man, to bring them to Christ! :)
@ThundaFrumDownUnda why then does it 1. Not specify between hills in the book of Mormon and 2. Why do the people at the hill center when asked about the hill say it is the hill from the book of Mormon and even claim it is the famous scene of the battle.
Either most of the LDS church is very mislead or it sounds like you, and I have heard other Mormons, are making up facts after the event.
@iareilliterate Most members don't know The Book of Mormon as well as they should. It's sad I know. I didn't know until this year in my seminary class we learned about it. If you read in Mormon starting at chapter 7 you can read about it and it all unfolds. Moroni starts writing in chapter 8 and explains. People that claim the hill to be the battle scene are not teaching doctrine. But it's understandable because they don't know and both the hills are called by the same name.
@ThundaFrumDownUnda but even then show me in the Book of Mormon where it makes a distinction between two hills because as far as I know it doesn't it only says there was one hill. If there is only one hill in the Book of Mormon you have to do one of two things either 1. Wonder why Joseph Smith got the wrong hill. or 2.Assume that even if Moroni (which he never says there are two hills) buried it in a different hill. Then he must of ran from president day mexico to NY to bury the tablets.
@iareilliterate It states in Mormon chapters 6-8 that Mormon will bury the plates in the hill before the battle so the lamanites won't destroy them (Mormon 6:6) The plates are buried after chapter 7. Moroni retrieves it after the great battle to finish the record starting chapter 8. He states that he must finish the record and hide it in 8:4. He then adds on the book of Ether. After that he writes his own book which is the book of Moroni, then hides them in the current Hill Cumorah for Joseph.
@iareilliterate You obviously didn't read what I told you to read. It states throughout those chapters that Moroni was alone for about 30 years, traveling throughout the land to evade the lamanites in order to save his life and complete the record. Quit arguing with me about this or about The Book of Mormon until you've read it for yourself.
“…This modernist theory of necessity, in order to be consistent, must place the waters of Ripliancum and the Hill Cumorah some place within the restricted territory of Central America, not withstanding the teachings of the Church to the contrary for upwards of 100 years…It is known that the Hill Cumorah where the Nephites were destroyed is the hill where the Jaredites were also destroyed. This hill was known to the Jaredites as Ramah” (Doctrines of Salvation V3 p233)
@ThundaFrumDownUnda Dude what don't you understand there is the hill and he went wandering does it then say that he buried them in a different hill? NO! it doesn't which is my point according to the book of mormon it is the same hill I don't care if he went wandering for hours the hill is the same hill. If you can give me a passage that says "he dug them from one hill" and then "he buried them in another" and that some how "they are both called Cumorah" you got evidence otherwise you don't
@iareilliterate He didn't call it the Hill Cumorah, the latter beginning saints of the church did and it stuck. Why would they call it a different name from the first hill? It's completely understandable why it would have the same name. But you choose not to understand. I just want to help you out because you had a few questions and then you started arguing with me. I'm not here to argue, truth is truth, either take it or leave it.
@ThundaFrumDownUnda the whole point is you are not telling the truth Joseph Smith him self called it the hill Cumorah and he is supposed to be speaking that revelation (for how else would he know to call it anything) he is either wrong or he made it up which either way puts you guys in a bad position. The TRUTH is there isn't any specific 2 hill mentioning you are adding facts.
@iareilliterate That's what I meant. If the hill were to be called anything why not by the same name? How can you justify yourself with the book that you don't believe in? I know that it was revealed to Joseph Smith that there were two hills, it is doctrine, the prophets teach it. The Lord adds facts called revelation. Maybe you should keep reading because it seems as though you are thoroughly interested. Read throughout Mormon to the end of Moroni, you shall see for yourself its truthfulness.
Mormon 6:6 "this record out of the plates of Nephi, and dhid up in the hill Cumorah"
if you read before the passage this is clearly the hill that they also did battle.
Mormon 8:4 "4 Therefore I will write and ahide up the records in the earth; and whither I go it mattereth not."
so this according to you is somehow a different hill by you just saying it is. Was not this record found with the tablets? Which are in the hills still?
@iareilliterate Upon recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost as a member we can recieve personal revelation through the Holy Ghost. I have received such revelation on this matter. 'The Holy Ghost testifies of truth and dwelleth not in arguments, for the spirit of the devil dwelleth in arguments. Therefore I cannot win this argument lest it should be by the spirit of the devil.' Therefore I am done with this matter.
@ThundaFrumDownUnda dude, it says no where in the Bible that the holy spirit enables you to make up facts. So be mature and use reasoning to EXPLAIN your point and not ARGUE your point. I am getting YOU to see something you probably didn't see. If making up facts is good enough of a reason for you to believe something there is nothing I can do otherwise I would wish you could be logical about it. I don't want to offend you I just want to talk. God bless.
“I do not believe that there were two Hill Cumorahs, one in Central America and the other one up in New York, for the convenience of the Prophet Joseph Smith, so that the poor boy would not have to walk clear to Central America to get the gold plates.” (123rd Annual Conference of the Church, April 4–6, 1953, General Conference Report, pp 83-84; or Improvement Era, June 1953, pg 423)

@bdplist Maybe you should read it and think to yourself if it was possible for a man to write such a truthful and amazing book. The doctrines and teaching that are taught in the Book of Mormon are far too great and revealing for a man to know and write. Yes parts of The Book and Bible are the same but that is because they were taught by the same God, the Creator and Savior of our lives.
@bdplist First off the names of the Book of Mormon came before those other names. The fact that you believe that it was easy to write just because you have some names is ridiculous. If you had a bunch of names for a play but no script would it make it easy? It's about the content, maybe you should rethink your approach.
Brigham Roberts, an early official Church historian, specified TWELVE similarities between "View of the Hebrews" and the Book of Mormon, including a diaspora from Jerusalem, hieroglyphics in America, wholesale quotation from Isaiah, two peoples: civilized and barbarous (Indians) reference to the Urim & Thummim, a long-lost buried book, inspired seers and prophets, a messiah in the New World, Gentiles in America having a special mission & a gathering of God's people in the last days
Vernon Holley's book re-constructed the internal geography of the Book of Mormon and superimposed it on the modern Great Lakes area - there is a precise fit Here's some REAL examples followed by BoM fakery Conner - Comner Ephrem, Saint - Ephraim, Hill Hellam - Helam Lehigh - Lehi Moraviantown - Morianton Morin - Moron Oneida - Onidah Rama - Ramah This is EZ! Joe just took the existing geograhy as his basis for the boM FABLE

Why isn't something this big in history featured on the Discovery Channel or in another history book anywhere?
Because it's not history. It's a fictional story made up by Joseph Smith that people have fell for hook, line and sinker. Even people from the "old world" know that the LDS church is NOT the church of God.
@sldeyo If it was fact and was on "Discovery Channel" then there would be no need for faith would there? That would defeat the purpose of the veil and our free agency. If a religion was factually stated and upheld as true then there would be no purpose for us being here would there? Sincerely think about that before you make any false judgments.
Key word in your montage of sentences....."if". The BoM is from another spirit. Talks about another Jesus and is the other gospel that is warned about in the Bible. 2 Corinth 11:3,4.
The BoM does have some truth in it. Those truths are copied from the Bible and contradict Mormon teaching. I didn't say that the BoM is evil. The Holy Spirit used the Word of God to tell you. If God already warns you in His Word about another gospel, spirit and Jesus...why would one hold the BoM over the Word of God?
As long as it's translated correctly?! The BoM take people away from believing the Word of God. Believe God and His Word. His Word will last forever.
@sldeyo The Bible is the record of His children on the Asian continent. The Book of Mormon is the record of His children on the North American continent. Jesus visited them both. He visited every continent. Why would Jesus only visit one? He atoned for all of us did he not? He had a prophet on each continent to proclaim his word. We have no need of that now because of technology such at TV, radio, magazines and other sources. It is His word and His word will last forever.
Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was ONCE DELIVERED unto the saints.
That is an OBVIOUS LIE, to those that have eyes to see!
Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
@ThundaFrumDownUnda : Well bless your heart... I hate to have to tell you this, but Jesus didn't visit America. Show me from the oldest translation where Jesus visited North America. You do use the KJV right? Since the Bible is Jesus' Spoken Word, and there we KNOW God has spoken, show me where Jesus visited NA. KJV verses only please.
@SEB53BOB the bible never, NEVER talks about the book of mormon!! you obviously dont unerstand the bible! the bible on ezekiel 37 it's clearly talking about the 2 cities/nations not the bible and the garbage book of mormon! LOL get some real info!
In the Book of Ezekial it talks about taking the stick of Judah (Bible) and writng upon it for the benefit of the children of Isreal. It then continues in verse 16 to say to ' then take another stick and write upon it' for the benfit of the house of Isreal.
Now if it was describing two cities why would the lord ask his prophet to write on the cities, and yes two nations you are correct. One nation being the middle Eastern Continent/Jerusalem (Stick of Judah/Bible)
The other nation being in the American Continent (Stick of Ephraim/Book of Mormon)
Jesus then talks and clearly states in John 10 verse 16 about having other sheep that are not of this fold and he will visit them and they shallhear his voice.
It then sates in Isaiah 29 : 4 it is talking about a nation who shall speak as a voice from the dust, and thy voice shall have a familier spirit. The bible and BOM working together again.
In verse 11 - 18 of the same chapter it talks about a sealed book which shall be deliverd to him that is not learned (Joseph Smith/ a simple farmboy)
In verese 11 it sates that a man that is learned shall say that he cannot read a sealed book referring to the Gold Plates
Now go read Joseph Smith History 1 :65
The BOM is true! It is the word of God as is the Bible and when used together they bring forth the everlasting Gospel, all I can do now is invite you to humble yourself before almighty
One of my fav BOM chapeter is 3 Nephi 12 - 14 compare this to Matthew 5 - 7 and ask for the spirit to guide you, The Book of Mormon is a wonderful true testament of Christ and I pray that you to can humble yourself and not be stubborn/hard hearted but to be open to the spirit of the lord feel his power as you study the Book of Mormon and you to can know of it's truth.
This I testify to you in the name of Jesus Christ Amen
@SEB53BOB no other religion can agree with you. this is all made up by your mormon leaders! once again the bible never talks about the book of mormon! you "explain" it all your way, but it is only the mormons who will look at it that way twisted and wrong!
@SEB53BOB and reading what you have to say, i can tell you're a good man with good intentions!! confused!! but you have a good heart! thank you and good luck to you!
Without a reference for what you are stateing I wouldn't be able to answer your question fully but in regards to the God head they are three distinct beings, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
In Matthew 3 : 16 - 17 Jesus, when he was baptized.. the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
In St John 14: 26 & 28 it once more distinguishes the difernecnce between each memeber of the God head.
Now I assume that when you say Joseph Smith sated that the Farther and the Son are one, what he emans is that they are one in purpose. ' To bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man' (Moses 1:38 (in the Pearl of Great Price))
In Doctrine and Covenants Section 130 verses 22 it say's that God and the Son have a body... as tangible as man's,
but the Holy Ghost..... is a personage of spirit, were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.
Now back to the Father and Son being one. In sT jOHN 17: 21-22 it say's That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
Now in Doctrine & Covenants Section 93 : 3 it say's 'And that I am ain the Father, and the Father in me, and the Father and I are one—'
The word ONE means one in purpose as it say's in the book of Moses again chapter 7 verse 18 ' And the Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness; and there was no poor among them'
So whe Jospeh Smith has said that they are one, he has said it meaning that they are of one purpose.
But of course without an actual refernce for what you have implied I cannot answer as well as I could have. However I beleive this should clarify your answer and if you have any more questions please feel free to ask.
The Chruch is True, Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and was called to restore his chruch. Christ lives and he is our lord and king he is our redeemer.
The only way you can know if Joseph Smith is a prophet is to read the Book of Mormon with faith in christ, reeal intent and having the rightous desire to act upon your answer you wll recieve your answer, and you to can know that Jospeh Smith saw the Father and the Son.
I know this to be true, every feeling, thought, impulse i have is that the Gospel is true. Be Humble read the Book of Mormon ask God and ye shall receive.
"Book of Mormon theology is generally modalistic" New approaches to the BoM
Talking of ONE PERSONAGE - "I am the Father AND the Son" Ether 3:14 Joe did not say they were simply "one" NOR did he say they were "one in purpose" he CLEARLY said they were the SAME PERSON in 1830 BoM
He said of the Son in Mos 15:2 "being the Father and the Son"
In verse 1 it say's that 'God himself shall come down among the children of men, and shall redeem his people.'
At the time Abinidi was speaking this, the Nephites were following the law of moses from the Old testament, and the Lord from the Old testament is Jesus Christ (Mosiah 7: 27 & Isaiah 54:5)
So I hope that clarifies your concern's about Mosiah 15 :2 just read those scriptrues above and verses 1-3 of Mosiah 15.
So in Mosiah when it is speaken about Goid coming to earth to redeem his people it is the Lord of the old testament Jehovah ( The Pre-mortal Jesus Christ)
Now to the term 'One in Purpose'
Although the members of the Godhead are distinct beings with distict roles, they are one in purpose and doctrine. They are perfectly united in bringing to pass Heavenly Fathers divine plan of Salvation.
The father and the son work together in bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man Mosaih 15 : 1-4 clearly syas that Jesus(God of the Old Testament) shall come down to redeem his people) Through out the standerd works it refers to them godhead as three distinct beings. They are one because they work together just like in Romans 12 : 4-5 were the saints work in unity and become one with Christ.
May I ask what your religious beleif is and have you read the Book of Mormon?
@SEB53BOB In spite of your lack of listing even one place where they are called "one in purpose" there are places in the BoM where they are called "ONE God"
The quality to which the "one" refers is "God" not purpose.
It is you im afraid who is not listening, Read Ether 3:12, Mosiah 15:1-5, and Mosiah 7:27.
They clearly explain your concerns, seek the guidance of the spirit, GOD is the Father, Jesus is the Son, but Jesus is a God himself, and him and the Father are one, as in they have the same PURPOSE,
The Gospel is true and all your petty arguments and accusations can all be easily explaind by the Word of God, the Scriptures answer everything nothing you say can destroy the word of God, stop flooding these videos with pointless irrelevant accusations, The Chruch IS TRUE, if you have any more pointless questions please just simply send them to me in a message or on my profile.
Humble yourslef before God, ask him if the Chruch is true, read the Book of Mormon with faith.
@bdplist Shouldn't the pagan-entry be practiced in the New True Cumorah? Somewhere in S.A., somewhere under some other rock, pyramid, altar is an ancient Jew. Somewhere vague and not yet found. somewhere else besides NY? Somewhere over past Kansas, where coinage, metallurgy, vast millions of armed men in metal breastplates, where curlooms frolic freely. But It Can't Happen Here. Nor in Minna Minna Minna Minnesota. All the Mormons are now claiming Cumorah is in Cuzco or somewhere
If you don't mid me asking what is your religous beleif, what church do you attend?
I pray that one day you too can read the Book of Mormon and receive eternal salvation, I wish you well in all that you do.
Also can I ask what makes you so against the church, and Book of Mormon, I would love to help clarify any concerns or hard feelings you have for Chrit's Kingdom on Earth
@sldeyo : Let's look at 'em. John 10:1-16. Here Jesus is talking Himself being the Good Shepherd and the gate and how the sheep(His own people) will follow His voice. Those people that come out of Mormonism and follow Jesus only, hear and obey the Master's voice. Isa. 29:1-18. Ariel=Jerusalem and these verses talk about the judgements on that city because the people ALREADY HAD the Word of God but didn't obey it. Are you choosing the BoM over God's already spoken Word? Understand what I'm saying?
@sldeyo: cont. Rom. 1:18-32 comes to mind. Only believe the Spoken Word of God "as long as it is translated correctly"? You quote the Bible, but when it come to Isa.43:10;44:6,8..(where it says in a ns that mortal men aren't going to make it to 'Godhood')....Isaiah is just a bumbling idiot? God's Word was BEFORE the BoM and people today still put some other book above His Word. Eze.37.-talks about the house of Israel and how the two cities are going to be one. It doesn't talk about books.
@sldeyo cont. Rev. 14. Moroni is not the angel in these verses. Moroni helped with the BoM-the other gospel that is talked about in 2 Corinth 11:4.-...preacheth another Jesus,...another spirit,...another gospel...
It was the angel Moroni who led JS to the hill to the plates that caused him to write that "Another Testament of Jesus Christ". JSmith ALREADY HAD the Word of God but chose to write that "another gospel" on his own.
God's Word on angels and men who lead away from Him. Gal 1:8,9
Even IF Joseph Smith saw Moroni, he is still accursed because the LDS gospel is very different from the gospel of the Bible. Since the Book of Mormon does not conform to the Bible, it is not Christian, but condemned being a new and false gospel. Galatians 1:6-9
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2 Cor 11:14-15
@johnyjamie There are many writings in the Bible that speak of the western continent, that speak of the Lord's other fold. The Book of Mormon is a testiment of His children living on North American continent.
IN the 1835 DOCTRINE & COVENANTS we are told that the Father is a SPIRIT! NOT a personage of Flesh & Bone!
Which D&C is correct the original or the new modified version where the Doctrine has been removed leaving only the Covenants section?
Lectures on faith 5, paragraph 2 defines the Father as a "personage of SPIRIT, glory and power."
Father and Son are said to possess the same mind, "which mind is the Holy Spirit" Lecture 5 paragraph 2
No wonder all the DOCTRINE got removed in 1921!

In 1830 Joseph said in the BoM that jesus said I am the Father & the Son
Since Joe was teaching a modalistic single God at that time, how is this possible if Joe really saw TWO PERSONAGES in the grove a DECADE earlier?
ANSWER_______
It seems we have a FABRICATED First Vision FISH STORY here!

Lehi is from the Old Testament, Judges 15:9,14 and 19.
Nephi is from the King James Version of the Apocrypha, II Maccabees 1:36.
Enos is taken from Genesis 4:26.
Zenos was in use prior to the Book of Mormon as a person's name. Zenos Riggs is listed in the 1873 Hanover, New Jersey census. Zenos Gurley, Sr., was born in 1801 at Bridgewater, New York, and later joined Mormonism. There is also Zenas in the New Testament, Titus 3:13.

why don't mormons excavate the hill of Cumorah and prove their religion correct?
some one give me an intelligent answer...
iareilliterate 2 years ago
@iareilliterate The original Hill Cumorah where the final battle between the nephites and the lamanites took place was at a different location than the one we now know as the Hill Cumorah. The plates were originally buried in the first hill and a prophet called Moroni, who was the last nephite, who survived the great battle, he retrieved the plates from where his father had buried them to write a last and final record. Upon making an end to his record he was commanded to bury them.
ThundaFrumDownUnda 1 year ago
@iareilliterate To bury them in the hill we now know as the Hill Cumorah. Once there they were to await the arrival of Joseph Smith to retrieve them. The angel Moroni himself came to Joseph to tell him where the record was stored so it could bring to pass the eternal salvation of man, to bring them to Christ! :)
ThundaFrumDownUnda 1 year ago
@ThundaFrumDownUnda why then does it 1. Not specify between hills in the book of Mormon and 2. Why do the people at the hill center when asked about the hill say it is the hill from the book of Mormon and even claim it is the famous scene of the battle.
Either most of the LDS church is very mislead or it sounds like you, and I have heard other Mormons, are making up facts after the event.
iareilliterate 1 year ago
@iareilliterate Most members don't know The Book of Mormon as well as they should. It's sad I know. I didn't know until this year in my seminary class we learned about it. If you read in Mormon starting at chapter 7 you can read about it and it all unfolds. Moroni starts writing in chapter 8 and explains. People that claim the hill to be the battle scene are not teaching doctrine. But it's understandable because they don't know and both the hills are called by the same name.
ThundaFrumDownUnda 1 year ago
@ThundaFrumDownUnda but even then show me in the Book of Mormon where it makes a distinction between two hills because as far as I know it doesn't it only says there was one hill. If there is only one hill in the Book of Mormon you have to do one of two things either 1. Wonder why Joseph Smith got the wrong hill. or 2.Assume that even if Moroni (which he never says there are two hills) buried it in a different hill. Then he must of ran from president day mexico to NY to bury the tablets.
iareilliterate 1 year ago
@ThundaFrumDownUnda Where in the Book of Mormon does it say there were two hills. How are you not adding facts afterwards.
iareilliterate 1 year ago
@iareilliterate It states in Mormon chapters 6-8 that Mormon will bury the plates in the hill before the battle so the lamanites won't destroy them (Mormon 6:6) The plates are buried after chapter 7. Moroni retrieves it after the great battle to finish the record starting chapter 8. He states that he must finish the record and hide it in 8:4. He then adds on the book of Ether. After that he writes his own book which is the book of Moroni, then hides them in the current Hill Cumorah for Joseph.
ThundaFrumDownUnda 1 year ago
@ThundaFrumDownUnda but it still doesn't say that it was a different hill that is pure speculation
iareilliterate 1 year ago

This hill was known to the Jaredites as Ramah” (Doctrines of Salvation V3 p233)
bdplist 1 year ago 2
@ThundaFrumDownUnda Dude what don't you understand there is the hill and he went wandering does it then say that he buried them in a different hill? NO! it doesn't which is my point according to the book of mormon it is the same hill I don't care if he went wandering for hours the hill is the same hill. If you can give me a passage that says "he dug them from one hill" and then "he buried them in another" and that some how "they are both called Cumorah" you got evidence otherwise you don't
iareilliterate 1 year ago
@iareilliterate He didn't call it the Hill Cumorah, the latter beginning saints of the church did and it stuck. Why would they call it a different name from the first hill? It's completely understandable why it would have the same name. But you choose not to understand. I just want to help you out because you had a few questions and then you started arguing with me. I'm not here to argue, truth is truth, either take it or leave it.
ThundaFrumDownUnda 1 year ago
@ThundaFrumDownUnda the whole point is you are not telling the truth Joseph Smith him self called it the hill Cumorah and he is supposed to be speaking that revelation (for how else would he know to call it anything) he is either wrong or he made it up which either way puts you guys in a bad position. The TRUTH is there isn't any specific 2 hill mentioning you are adding facts.
iareilliterate 1 year ago
@iareilliterate That's what I meant. If the hill were to be called anything why not by the same name? How can you justify yourself with the book that you don't believe in? I know that it was revealed to Joseph Smith that there were two hills, it is doctrine, the prophets teach it. The Lord adds facts called revelation. Maybe you should keep reading because it seems as though you are thoroughly interested. Read throughout Mormon to the end of Moroni, you shall see for yourself its truthfulness.
ThundaFrumDownUnda 1 year ago
@ThundaFrumDownUnda I have read it and there wasn't two hills. Revelation has always lined up historically until Mormonism. why is that?
iareilliterate 1 year ago
Mormon 6:6 "this record out of the plates of Nephi, and dhid up in the hill Cumorah"
if you read before the passage this is clearly the hill that they also did battle.
Mormon 8:4 "4 Therefore I will write and ahide up the records in the earth; and whither I go it mattereth not."
so this according to you is somehow a different hill by you just saying it is. Was not this record found with the tablets? Which are in the hills still?
iareilliterate 1 year ago
@iareilliterate Upon recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost as a member we can recieve personal revelation through the Holy Ghost. I have received such revelation on this matter. 'The Holy Ghost testifies of truth and dwelleth not in arguments, for the spirit of the devil dwelleth in arguments. Therefore I cannot win this argument lest it should be by the spirit of the devil.' Therefore I am done with this matter.
ThundaFrumDownUnda 1 year ago
@ThundaFrumDownUnda dude, it says no where in the Bible that the holy spirit enables you to make up facts. So be mature and use reasoning to EXPLAIN your point and not ARGUE your point. I am getting YOU to see something you probably didn't see. If making up facts is good enough of a reason for you to believe something there is nothing I can do otherwise I would wish you could be logical about it.

SEB53BOB 1 year ago

Without a reference for what you are stateing I wouldn't be able to answer your question fully but in regards to the God head they are three distinct beings, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
In Matthew 3 : 16 - 17 Jesus, when he was baptized.. the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
This clearly staes the three disticnt beings.
SEB53BOB 1 year ago
@bdplist
In Doctrine and Covenants Section 130 verses 22 it say's that God and the Son have a body... as tangible as man's,
SEB53BOB 1 year ago
but the Holy Ghost..... is a personage of spirit, were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.

SEB53BOB 1 year ago
The only way you can know if Joseph Smith is a prophet is to read the Book of Mormon with faith in christ, reeal intent and having the rightous desire to act upon your answer you wll recieve your answer, and you to can know that Jospeh Smith saw the Father and the Son.
I know this to be true, every feeling, thought, impulse i have is that the Gospel is true. Be Humble read the Book of Mormon ask God and ye shall receive.

Joe did not say they were "one in purpose" he CLEARLY said they were the SAME PERSON in 1830 BoM & the 1833 JST
He said of the Son in Mos 15:2 "being the Father and the Son"

"Book of Mormon theology is generally modalistic" New approaches to the BoM
Talking of ONE PERSONAGE - "I am the Father AND the Son" Ether 3:14 Joe did not say they were simply "one" NOR did he say they were "one in purpose" he CLEARLY said they were the SAME PERSON in 1830 BoM
He said of the Son in Mos 15:2 "being the Father and the Son"

@SEB53BOB Can you you find me one example of "one in purpose" in any of the STD WRKS?
Or did you just invent that saying to explain away the plain meaning of scripture?

@bdplist
Read Mosiah 15 : 1-3
In verse 1 it say's that 'God himself shall come down among the children of men, and shall redeem his people.'
At the time Abinidi was speaking this, the Nephites were following the law of moses from the Old testament, and the Lord from the Old testament is Jesus Christ (Mosiah 7: 27 & Isaiah 54:5)
So I hope that clarifies your concern's about Mosiah 15 :2 just read those scriptrues above and verses 1-3 of Mosiah 15.
SEB53BOB 1 year ago
@bdplist
SEB53BOB 1 year ago 2
The father and the son work together in bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man Mosaih 15 : 1-4 clearly syas that Jesus(God of the Old Testament) shall come down to redeem his people) Through out the standerd works it refers to them godhead as three distinct beings. They are one because they work together just like in Romans 12 : 4-5 were the saints work in unity and become one with Christ.
May I ask what your religious beleif is and have you read the Book of Mormon?
SEB53BOB 1 year ago 2
@SEB53BOB In spite of your lack of listing even one place where they are called "one in purpose" there are places in the BoM where they are called "ONE God"
The quality to which the "one" refers is "God" not purpose.
bdplist 1 year ago
@bdplist
It is you im afraid who is not listening, Read Ether 3:12, Mosiah 15:1-5, and Mosiah 7:27.
They clearly explain your concerns, seek the guidance of the spirit, GOD is the Father, Jesus is the Son, but Jesus is a God himself, and him and the Father are one, as in they have the same PURPOSE,
3 Nephi 11:27, 36, Alma 11:44, Mormon 7:7
If you read these you WILL know your answer.

@bdplist

@SEB53BOB Ether 3:15 still says that Jesus Christ IS the Father AND the Son!
Mos 7:27 "Christ was the God, the Father"
These simply say that Jesus was the Father and the Son
How could this be if joe really saw TWO separate personages?
I could not find the word PURPOSE in any of these chapters!
It looks like Joseph was a Modalist in 1830

@bdplist ... even the Bible confirms that the "one" is not one in body. You know that.

Understand what I'm saying?
sldeyo 1 year ago
@sldeyo: cont. Rom. 1:18-32 comes to mind. Only believe the Spoken Word of God "as long as it is translated correctly"? You quote the Bible, but when it come to Isa.43:10;44:6,8..(where it says in a ns that mortal men aren't going to make it to 'Godhood')....Isaiah is just a bumbling idiot? God's Word was BEFORE the BoM and people today still put some other book above His Word. Eze.37.-talks about the house of Israel and how the two cities are going to be one. It doesn't talk about books.
sldeyo 1 year ago
@sldeyo cont. Rev. 14. Moroni is not the angel in these verses. Moroni helped with the BoM-the other gospel that is talked about in 2 Corinth 11:4.-...preacheth another Jesus,...another spirit,...another gospel...
It was the angel Moroni who led JS to the hill to the plates that caused him to write that "Another Testament of Jesus Christ". JSmith ALREADY HAD the Word of God but chose to write that "another gospel" on his own.

@sldeyo
Gal 1:8,9.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Amen and amen. May God add a blessing to those who read and understand His Word.

It was AWESOME as far as it was translated correctly!
bdplist 3 years ago 6
Even IF Joseph Smith saw Moroni, he is still accursed because the LDS gospel is very different from the gospel of the Bible. Since the Book of Mormon does not conform to the Bible, it is not Christian, but condemned being a new and false gospel. Galatians 1:6-9
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2 Cor 11:14-15
johnyjamie 2 years ago 3
@johnyjamie There are many writings in the Bible that speak of the western continent, that speak of the Lord's other fold. The Book of Mormon is a testiment of His children living on North American continent.
