In order for my comments to be ignorant, I would have to not know what I was talking about, and unfortunately I do. I'm not saying he didn't love her or that she didn't love him either... She took advantage of his weakness' for sure though. She made him think she was setting him free but in reality did nothing more than make him so codependent that he couldn't take a piss without asking her what she thought about it first.

I think the comments bashing Yoko are ignorant. She has a sweet, charming voice. Also, she didn't "do" anything to him. He loved her & chose to follow her directions, as any of us would for someone we loved. (Listen to "When A Man Loves A Woman" for an explanation of how this works.) The hostility from the world (and the other Beatles) only brought them closer.

As for why the Beatles broke up, that actually began in 1965 with "Yesterday," a year before John met Yoko. But that's another post.

It really is so unfortunate what this woman did to him. Brainwashing a lost soul into thinking he could finally produce "real art" with her and that rock n roll was beneath him. The fact that so many of these "solo" songs are still great even though they feature a tone deaf woman singing in a thick Japanese accent only shows how fantastic they truly are. We can only imagine how great all he produced would have been if she hadn't brainwashed him into thinking EVERYTHING was better with her.

I'm not a Yoko fan, but you're a moron. The reason he left his first wife for Yoko was because Yoko was his intellectual equal.
