i heard the primers uses in its ammo is amazingly consistent. I understand the material use in the primers has to be hand made or something. And that only someone with a lot of experience can do it right. Probably older Russian that have be doing it for a long time. Either way i guess they have a good reputation. My gun manual said if i use foreign or hand loaded ammo warranty is void.
I had put together my lower reciever and ordered the 24" overwatch upper from Midwayusa on sale last year for 888.00. I love my grendel. I was shooting factory 123 scenar with lapua brass from AA. I now load my own using both Lapua brass and Hornady brass with Nosler 120 grain Balitic Tips. Next up is the Beowulf.
Damn. I've been trying to get a 6.5 barrel for a while now. I asked about a dozen different dealers at the show today if they, by any chance, would have one sitting under a table somewhere or something, but to no avail. Lucky you! That's a pretty special round.
Maybe you can order one from Alexander Arms websight and ship it to one of your local gunshops. You can also try gunbroker. I did right now and they have a 16 inch grendel barrel. Bid is 680$ and Buy now is 750$. Damn and to think i payed like 850$ for mine. I guess i should of looked around more.
just order direct from Alexander Arms, no dealer is required unless you are ordering a lower receiver. upper receivers and barrel (etc) do not need to be placed through a dealer.
That dud is me.. and it's called a Shemagh, typically used around the head, but when not wrapped around the head it's just taken down to the shoulders.
This gunsmithing party / shoot we call the festival of the flies, this time of year the flies are out in full force and bug the crap out of you and buzz you head, neck and ears, You wear the Shemagh to stop those terrorist flies, and not go crazy.
