What a moron, who would pay $50,000 for a Delorean?, it's a 1981 I know but it's not even the first ups with the fuel flap. This guy ripped himself off, $26,000 would be my limit for this car. The Delorean is my favorite car, but I would never ever ever pay 50k for one. Unless it was the gold one ;P
@ace19901227 i agree. Alot of people didn't think that this car was worth 25 thousand when they first came out. That was almost 30 years ago. But the car does look in really good condition.
Indeed Jack. 2 more Deloreans just sold at BJ Scottsdale. One sold for 51k and the other sold for 49k. I hope I can buy one before the prices get crazy on all of them! Maybe I can buy a fixer upper so I can at least stare at it in my driveway. lol
Wow. 50k is pretty solid for a DeLorean. I'm impressed. I've had mine for 6 years now, and yes, the jokes are ol. They were original 25 years ago when the movie first came out - they're not a quarter of a century later.
Still jokes about back to the future... what a shame.. this car is by now a collectors item, no more a gimmick of back to the future, and still is not officialy a classic car (still dont is 30 years old) so imagine the prices in about 15 years more...
The jokes can get old after awhile, but that's one of things you encounter with when owning a Delorean. You dealing with something that most people only saw in the BTTF movies and was a "flash in pan" when it was new. Even though it isn't quite at the 30 year old mark yet, it's a beautiful classic as far as I'm concered.
Same here. My friend has one with a aftermarket twin turbo kit. It'll do 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. I've ridden in a stock Delorean and it's a great highway cruiser car. Fast or slow I'll take either one!
No problem. I'm glad the Delorean is finally getting some respect at these auctions. I just hope they don't go up to high on price, because I want to able to get one!

Yes. Not too hard to clean either. You can use stainless polish or WD-40 and a Scotch Brite pad.

I wish you luck, Chris...actually a fixer upper might be a great idea. You could deal with it as you have the time! :) Jack

I wonder how many bidders there were at 40k?
PS Do you mind if I re-post this video on my account? I figure the more its out there, the more interest generated.
