@ProjectDFanPage Being a fan of Initial D has nothing to do with anyone being a fool. The AE86 being built in 1984 is not a rumor alot of ppl already new this. The AE86 chassis code comes from the VIN of the car. In other counties the VIN can be different. If you look at a VIN of a car there will be random letters and numbers all of that can simply tell you the year the model, motor it has when it was made and what factory it came from etc. Incase you didn't know.

"G" is twin cam and "E" is electronic fuel injection. You also put down "U" that also means that it passes the Japanese emission regulations. I have know I idea what AE86 means and have been trying to find out what it means. The 86 does NOT mean it came out in 86. The 8 and the 6 have there own meaning. This is for everyone as well to know.

@Tek869 This is what I've learned about Toyota's vehicle codes. the first letter or sometimes 2 letters denote engine series, the second letter denotes the vehicle, the first number (or sometimes 2 numbers) denote the generation, and the last number denotes the subdivision (like different styles like sedans, coupes, sport models... etc). take AE86 for example, A-series engine, E = Corolla, 8th Gen, 6th subdivision. or SW22, S-series engine (3S-GTE), W = MR2, 2nd Gen, 2nd subdivision.
