  • Two great. smart and intelligent English gentlemen ... Pleasure to watch these guys converse and discuss.

  • Hilarius, lying with eyes open so funny.

  • 'you can fork off... oh maybe I shouldn't really say that'

  • Something really strange happens at 9:28. They both say "but" or something, and the video sounds like it's freezing, and the world just exploded.

  • Great interview, but someone needs to shoot the cameraman.

  • @theresbeenamixup very good observation, this is deliberately designed to make darren uncomfortable and it works really well, he tries to hypnotise drawkins but he doesnt do it very well, you see not everybody is hypnotizable unless they are out of their comfort zone. also listen to this without looking at the images and you will notice that dawkins is trying to dehypnotise darren who is actually hypnotising himself!!

  • a way to avoid the problem of simply inventing names and waiting until someone in the audience recognizes it, is if the psychic chooses a person beforehand and then says the name. If that is the case and if someone has seen that happen, the evidence is much more convincing.

  • Just bought the book that Derren Brown has made, It's fantastic, or atleast he is maiking me think so.

  • Richard Dawkins is a bit negative

  • I used to be a psychic but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • @frankieboyleinnit

    I hate you.

  • @frankieboyleinnit If you were psychic you should have seen it coming.

  • @195ashes - i was a bit of a shit psychic.

  • I like Darren Brown, he's used his talents for entertainment and this type of thing he could keep to himself. In the know, kind of thing, but he's explaining, exposing it. There doesn't seem a malisciousness about him.

  • @Hellsconsort I always think that, a quality which is not shared by the religous and charlatans.

  • cant belive how happy I am that I found out Derren Brown is an Atheist

  • @lk3hjduio cool story.

  • @lk3hjduio Maybe you aren't aware but many athiests are former christians who lived with faith but came to see the conflicts between their beliefs and testable reality. Speaking from experience, prayer does nothing.

  • @lk3hjduio Another brainwashed fool I see. This type of thinking is the downfall of the human race.

  • 6.08 god why am i here..

  • 2 gay devils together

  • 4:06 You can fok off one way or the other. I love how Fork can sound like Fuck in a British accent.

  • ...

  • I went to a 'Psychic' with an ex gf of mine that believed this bollocks and he started going on about a dead grandfather who died quite a while ago, I put my hand up and said yeah, mine died 12 years ago, they psychic said oh he's here with us now, he loved you very much and cared about you immensely. I said really? because he physically and sexually abused me for years. The guys face was a fucking picture! I said you didn't pick up on that did you!? and left the room 'Crying'.

  • @rybekdesign LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL now that's trolling. I tip my hat to you.

  • @rybekdesign Hats off to you mate!

  • OMG he knows me so well!!!!!

  • Ohhhh yeah i've been waiting for this

  • @TonyLee1000 It is impossible to live without imposing your will upon others. I live, I must make decisions and act, those decisions are necessarily according with my own understanding or will, and my actions will therefore affect others. There is no way around it. Even if one imagines themself to do the will of god, they are still behaving according to their own thoughts which have been affected by a belief system.

  • @gromby

No it`s not, it`s called cooperation.

  • @TonyLee1000 Humans do not agree on many things. Hence, the cause for you to have posted in the first place.

  • Comment removed

  • The will of the ungodly, the repugnant, the filthy, the unclean = Chaos - opposition to the will of GOD (denial)

The cause of randomness and chance begets chaos.

This is the only cause of WAR and CONFLICT... The result of opposing forces... A battle of wills, that GOD WILL WIN...

I DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEF AND DISBELIEF ARE STILL IGNORANCE!

Because in ME there is absolutely no doubt, not one little bit, not even a speck, spotless, clean! I AM THE ONE WHO CAST THE FIRST STONE.

  • I feel, therefore IAM.

  • Lets just clear up the argument for nothing.

    Nothing - no thing

    Thing - thing

Nothing only exist in relation to something that once was. I.E. I had ten pounds but spent it, now I have nothing left. Emphasis on the word "LEFT", nothing, not a bean.

  • @TonyLee1000 lol Nothing is a concept, it hasn't been proved to exist just yet, so what you've said is therefore a theory without evidence.

  • @TonyLee1000 That makes no sense...

  • @TonyLee1000 guess what, if you understand quatum physics you know that you CAN get something from nothing

  • Atheism the folly of the arrogant.

And you shall know the wicked for they will condemn themselves by there own tongue.

This is for the godly among you... Reason, logic, cause and effect.

  • @TonyLee1000

    Great point, Tony.

With an emphasis on the 'First Cause', i.e. 'Creatio ex-nihilo'.

  • @TonyLee1000 "condemn themselves by there own tongue."

    My tongue spells it "their".

  • @TonyLee1000

Would this be godly as defined by the Roman church committee?

  • For something to be reasonable, it must be logical, and if something is logical, it must be reasonable. i.e. If its not logical it cannot be reasonable.

Randomness implies that an event has taken place without a cause... This is clearly illogical.

Chance also implies that an event has occurred without cause... This to is the folly of an idiot.

As you can see, logic cannot be separated from reason.

  • @TonyLee1000 "Randomness implies that an event has taken place without a cause... This is clearly illogical."

If you knew anything at all about logic then you would see that this is a non sequitur and a bare assertion, a logical fallacy.

It is also absolutely demonstrably false. For instance, virtual particles (*random* vacuum fluctuations) are random. I could list about a million things that are random by the definition of the word.

  • oh my, look who we have here. Derren looks as if he is performing an act of mentalism and richard looks agitated and confused.

  • And it is completely illogical to argue about something you don't believe exits... Arrogance? Only an arrogant moron would argue about something that doesn't exist.

  • @TonyLee1000 Okay, let's never argue about characters in a film, or anything fictional, ever.

  • There are no such things as randomness or chance both concept are akin to believing in fairies. Do people really believe that an event can take place without a cause? This is totally illogical, madness.

  • Derren Brown has got to be congratulated in tolerating a fruitcake like Dawkins. I suppose it pays well, so I'll humor the old git. Evolutionary theory which Dawkins sees as a holy bible is absolute bullshit. When will science have the courage to put this flawed unscientific theory to the dustbin?

  • @TheLogic1010 Are you being sarcastic or just stupid? I can't tell.

  • @TheRealJoni

thelogic is a sockpuppet thats on amission to smear Dawkins

  • @TheLogic1010 Evolution the process of natural selection driven by predator-prey interactions, environmental conditions, intra and inter specific competition and the sharing of common ancestors. Gradual adaption over thousands of years.

Or Adam & Eve, I mean diddnt eve come from adams rib, then they spoke to a talking snake and ate an apple.

Wont be put in the dustbin because there is over whelming evidence to support evolution something you cant say for religion and the bible is not evidence

  • @jothman I don't do belief driven religion mate. Try another angle!

  • This is how dumb religious folk are! They dont even know what an atheist is lol lol lol. Part the seas, talk to a snake or burning bush, feed 5000 ppl with a few loafs of bread..... And what does god do today! As Gervais says giving babies aids in Africa! well done god nice one!

  • @jothman

so by that logic i can say everyone who believes in science is stupid and point at people who thought that the testis purpose was a weight used to tension the male voice or other stupid scientific theories....or i could laugh at you for thinking the world is flat or that you matter didst exist before your birth and will not exist after your body has decayed... all wrong and all once strongly held BELIEFS within the scientific community

its easy to point out that bad theories

  • thumbs up if you think Derren already had the sitters grand fathers name! :))

  • @JoyStainProductions

'You're all a bunch of egotistical cunts shoving your individual view of the universe down the throats of others'

But then you go on to say how humans are shit, etc. Which is shoving your own individual view of the Universe down our throats since human intelligence and knowledge is a major aspect when we think of the Universe, nice one mr Hypocrite. Please leave this discussion to the intellectuals.

  • @MrCardShark101 I think a healthier view would be to see humans as sacred, because, for whatever reason, were the eyes and ears of the cosmos. We and the world around us is real, so its better to try to improve yourself and your surroundings than to just condemn it as a passive, angry observer. For that reason alone, this is sacred. This isn't just some movie; Its real life. To take such an opportunity for granted and with such contempt is just sad.

  • @JNathanK2011

I fully agree with you and sadly taking this life for granted is a common theme amongst the religious. Some of them tend to see it as the 'test' to see if you are worthy to get into whatever paradise you feel is beyond death. It is up to them how they live their lives but I am going to live mine with the mentality that this is the only time of existence. *As a side note, look up "I think therefore I am" concerning your 'real' assumption, it's an interesting thought.

  • @MrCardShark101 I think its a test, but the test is whether the dialectic can evolve any further through human beings or not. As for hell, if it were real, a lot of religious people would probably go to it, because such an after-realm would exist through the duality of fear and love. ...and a lot of them thrive on fear.

  • Shocker, nobody knows the meaning of life and how we got here. So why not just shut the fuck up and live life until anything is proven because until then, you're all a bunch of egotistical cunts shoving your individual view of the universe down the throats of others, whether it be Scientific, Religious or a mix of both.

Humans are shit and we know fuck all in terms of what is out there, the intelligence we claim and the knowledge we think we have is actually tiny in the grand scale of things.

  • @postmasterw00t

Personal testimony cannot be accepted as definitive evidence purely on the minor fact that people have an innate ability to deceive. Your parents told you about

Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy, both of which you would have regarded as true. This is a classic example of the influence authority figures have and their ability to utilise this when lying.

  • @MrCardShark101

    Evolution's Euphemisms

    watch?v=sOxNVg85OLA

  • @Kartikeya1996

Actually the argument from authority is a very weak one, if one very important person says something and another says something that conflicts with the original statement then who is correct? They are both authority figures yet one of them must be wrong, hence you cannot trust an argument purely because it comes from an authority figure.

  • the teachers often believe it themselves.

i took a Tarot reading course a little while back and with out fail everyone in the room, the instructor included believed in magic and other such and even though when the techniques are being explained it becomes to abundantly clear that its fake people will simply seem to not notice and rather hold their believe in it as stronger.

  • @SinnersBurnInHell

Wrong, you said "you can find evidence for God", which you can't. Granted the quotation from the Bible is valid but in a real-life example I don't think you would actually turn to God simply from experiencing the world around you. There is the 'Paley's watch' argument but personally I find this weak. What about someone who is mentally handicapped and cannot conceive the idea of religion (nor much else for that matter) would your God condemn that person for being an atheist?

  • @MrCardShark101 Evidence can be a personal account from an NDE, personal testimony is still evidence, just saying

  • That is indeed correct, therefore I shall retract my last statement and say that my flaw could be my memory that failed me in my time of need.

  • @LeroySh I conquer. :D

Anyway, back to religion; if you were raised by athiests and never came into contact with a religious person nor did you ever learn about religion, could a so-called 'God' condemn you for being an athiest?

  • So sorry that my literary skills could not match up to that of MrCardShark101, please excuse my ignorance, see it as a flaw in my genetic design for holding of knowledge and/or memory.

  • @LeroySh

Surely knowledge is memory for you cannot know something that you do not remember, is this correct?

  • @LeroySh

Well it is most satisfying that my vocabulary has come to a reasonable fruition, such that others can appreciate it. Unfortunately this will sound somewhat pedantic but I noticed you missed out a full stop at the end of your comment, please refrain from this obscene mistake in future.

  • Glad to be of service, just wanted to point out the intellectual brilliance of that most enlightening comment, don't thank me, thank you MrCardShark101

  • 'I am m' there is definitely a philosophy somewhere in that.

What I meant to say was:

...I am more than happy to challenge my views and plead you to have a respectable discussion. P.S. Thank you 'LeroySh' for that enlightening comment.

  • @ Virtually every religious person here.

I have provoked a response in you, used profanity to hurt you, enforced my views and insulted yours. I have shown you what we atheists are consistently experiencing from religious followers and now you are aware that it does not help anyone progress (quite apt, seeing how religion has a track record of hindering progression. Sorry, couldn't resist). Telling us we will burn in Hell doesn't really give the impression of a loving God, just a thought. I am m

  • @superkevy11 Y U NO HAS TOP COMMENT?!

  • @superkevy11 yeah...they both make money fooling people

  • Thank you MrCardShark101 for using 'thus' in your answer, you just do not see that literary splendour nowadays

  • @mikeymoughtin

The idea of 'good' is relative, thus you cannot call another person 'good' or 'evil' in accordance to your own morals but rather observe if they themselves act in what is considered 'good' in their own form of morality. Hence you cannot say "He is inherently evil" but rather "By my standards, he is evil" but unfortunately nobody gives a flying fuck about your standards.

Mistakes: aethiests, inherintly, bible (capital B, you should know this) and heracy. Read a fucking dictionary.

  • why don't they sit down if they're going to talk for so long? it must be rather tiring.

  • Fork Off

  • @bluenotejazz lol i was just about to post fork off too haha that was funny...he tried to take it back by sayin i don't think i'm allowed to sat that

  • @bluenotejazz No! go fork yourself!

  • May I put something stright?

Atheists are not evil. They are people who look at the world and see that it is unlikely that there is a god, this is acheived by carefull observation of what is. As opposed to being told repeatedly that something is true, as is the case with most religeons. We are also curious, VERY curious.

We are intreugued by things of interest. Derren Brown is interesting, and Dawkins is curous.

You can see where i'm going.

  • @IonizedApple please, please do not attempt to group together people into such a large heading like "aethiest" and saying all are curious. im aethist, sort of agnostic, in the sense that i am certain that the major western religions are wrong, but just becasue their "higher power" is illogical, does not mean one could'nt exist, though i doubt one does. anyways, to my point, i know a lot of aethists that see religion as another authority to rebel against no extra curiosity, just rebelion.

  • @mikeymoughtin Okay, perhaps I was generalizing a little. Please note that my comment was mainly in response to TheLogic1010 1 and probobly should have put it is as a response.

My own atheism is drawn from scientific evidence as well as my curiosity, not the need to rebel against an unjust authority. That was what brought me to derren brown in the first place. Anyways, as a scientist, it would seem likely that dawkins is of my type.

    sorry for the misunderstanting.

  • Glitch in the matrix at 9:32

  • both of these men are fascinating in every video I've seen them in!

  • Why does Dawkins waste his time talking to conjurers instead of doing some real science? Oh he can't do real science must be the answer. Derren Brown, how does one do cold reading down a telephone line? Dawkins accepts the theory of evolution is a falsehood, so spends time away from this fantasy. Good one Dawkins, you don't have to face your critics. Dickie is a bit of a fruitcake, but I suppose a harmless one.

  • @TheLogic1010

    Troll?

  • @sonykroket You're really added to the debate?

  • @TheLogic1010

You really dont know grammar and spelling?

  • @sonykroket I know about the r mistake, the grammer is correct. You must be a bit of a fool yourself? Your missing a apostrophe between the n and t. You really are a joker!!

  • @TheLogic1010

So why are you an idiot and how does it feel to be one?

Is it like not knowing and just wonder why all those meanies act not nice to you?

  • @sonykroket Look in the mirror punk!

  • @TheLogic1010

Ohh, the wit, i stand in awe

    You...you doodyhead!

  • @sonykroket Get a life.

  • @TheLogic1010

    Stop switching accounts, sockpuppet

  • @sonykroket You don't believe yourself.

  • everyone become agnostic and stop bitching we will all find out one by one in the end

  • Great interview, but use of single camera is annoying because he constantly switches back and forth and it makes me dizzy.

  • dawkins is annoying

  • derren brown is so fake ... fake ass motherfucker

  • @meeefe hes just intelligent unlike yourself ...

  • @Fidgetxxnator hes been proven by the police in america to fake his stunts not saying his not clever

you are obviously the one thats a fucking idiot,

  • @meeefe oh i know everything he does is a trick and thats why its so great he doesnt say he doesnt fake it hes intelligent id the way he does..

  • @meeefe he is fake as he explains here u moron, he doesnt claims to be psychic he just uses psychological manipulation unlike other that does the same thing but claim to be psychic and have supernatural power for their financial gains.

  • @2527bangna ok i didnt watch it calm down lol

  • I don't really see the charm of Richard Dawkins... I've never heard him say anything new or refreshing in any video I ever saw.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with him, but I see him more as a journalist than an intellectual, and with that quite a biased journalist as well. It's all very narrow and his questions are very much steering rather than exploring.

  • @Ptrrrrrrrr

Most popular people on the planet are just ordinary people, extra ordinary patience and curiosity.

  • Derren Brown is gay, Dawkins got him to spurt this evil bullshit to further his own satanic dogma!

  • @Falsel1ght

    your hilarious!

  • @Falsel1ght Your an idiot.

  • People like Dawkins devote their time to non scientific work to avoid talking about his own work, evolution theory? Because it's a fake science bordering on a belief system. Time Dawkins faced the truth, he's been living a fantasy all his life and the reality must really hurt him!

  • @TheLogic1010 no-one can say what the 'truth' or 'reality' is. You can look for it, and find evidence to support your theory but that is it. Also, people that are heavily involved in science actually begin to see it as a belief system/religion, because it shares many factors with religion as we are familliar with.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheLogic1010 go have a conversation with a talking snake then get back to me you nut bar!

  • @jothman Another fruitcake like Dawkins, love it!

  • Dawkins is a bad spokesperson for Atheism. Don't judge him and believe all Atheists are the same. The majority are peaceful (more so than Christians)

  • @sparkymmilarky are you an athiest yourself

  • @sparkymmilarky Dawkins has done more harm to atheism and science than anyone. The man is a fruitcake and a lost deluded madman.

  • @BelieveandtrustJesus

It's not that athiests are inherently evil, or even hate religion, athiests simply do not believe that a supernatural Being(s) created the Universe. So please do everyone a massive favour and stop preaching to us all. Perhaps if you had a particularly influential preacher some athiests may be fooled into a religious belief. But trust me, having you as a representative of religion is really not doing your lot any good, mostly because you're a bit of a twat.

  • @MrCardShark101 Problem with Atheism is that they claim to not believe that "Supernatural Being(s) created the Universe" because there are no facts to prove this. But, on the other hand is there proof that Supernatural Being(s) didn't create the universe either. Never mind the fact that humans have no proof of them even existing! Agnosticism simply states that we don't have proof to back any belief up, in turn stating that we can't know how the universe was created.

    TL;DR Your logic is flawed

  • @killerdirector "Agnosticism simply states that we don't have proof to back any belief up"

    utter nonsense.

agnosticism means, literally, etymologically, the belief that the acquisition of absolute certainty isnt possible.

most atheists and agnostic and most agnostics are atheists.

  • @volound you get it. no one in these comments gets it, but you do. ty

  • @killerdirector ......we (aethist) are not the ones trying to prove anything......so, we don't need proof. proof is only neccisary when trying to prove something, not in the claiming their lack of proof is wrong. like, if einstien said "light is as fast as it gets." and provided no evidence, would people then have to believe him until eventually we made a hadron collider? or if i said i can fly, would you have to beilieve me until you proved i can't fly? (which you can't, btw)

  • @MrCardShark101 aethiests could be viewed as inherintly evil, if-and it's not to far of a stretch- we looked at it and said by not believing, you do not follow the bible, so you sin, and do not repent(for you have no reason to) so you are an unrepenting sinner, and if you are public with your opinion, then thats heracy, which could be seen as evil.

good and evil are perspectives. i suspect you know that, but try to REMEMBER THIS IN THE FUTURE. ty

  • @MrCardShark101 what does athiests and evil have to do with derren browns interview

  • @MrCardShark101 , you retarded shithead, im going to live my life to last bit of it, but at death you will see the truth with your own retarded eyes.

so simple computer can't be created with a designer but whole with infinite complexity universe can come to exist without a designer , this is even not logical to argue with

  • @0000000NoName0000000 He can believe what he wants to believe, it's his own opinion. I personally don't think there is any point arguing about it as we will all find out what happens when we die anyway. I don't understand what your reason is to call 'MrCardShark101' a retarded shithead, maybe he is just a little rude for calling somebody a twat, but I think it's best if we stop forcing our beliefs on other people and let them live how they like.

  • @djunior874 i forced no body , and that guy he started talking in shitty way,

and yes we all will find out what is after death, death is absolute fact

  • @MrCardShark101 lol - says the even bigger twat

  • Holy shit, the intellect in this video is blowing my mind!!!!!

  • NICK CLEGGCK CLEGG 1:1 MARTIN TRUFFLES MI5

  • He's asked Psychic Sally to do a test to see if she's a 'real psychic' ... and she denied. Of course.
