What I DO hold against him greatly is his staunch support for war, which he knows destroys families and yet he doesn't care. Except for Ron Paul, they all have no qualms about destroying thousands of American families via war.

Gingrich will be eviscerated by Obama as will Romney and/or Santorum. Gingrich is mean enough he will be able to wound Obama badly. I think Gingrich's obvious self-hatred, which he doles out in spurts of maniacal rage and abuse of anyone who questions him indicates that he is a possible sociopath. Gingrich is extremely corrupt and also dangerous.
It would be revolutionary, if Ron Paul were elected. I do not know if Paul supports protective tariffs, which were the only way the US government was able to raise revenue in the pre-Income Tax era. McKinley was for protective tariffs, because he wanted to protect American business interests. In those days, direct competition with sweatshops in India at that time run by Britain would've crippled US manufacturing. If Paul opposes tariffs, he's to the Right of any president since Andrew Jackson.
William McKinley, about whom most Americans know next to nothing, was very similar in his time to Ron Paul today. Both men we/are genuinely compassionate, affable, friendly & honest about eliminating as much of government interference as possible. The problem is that McKinley couldn't see how, for instance, it was the responsibility of the federal government to regulate corporations in any way whatsoever. Also he allowed Hearst, McKenna and Teddy Roosevelt to bully the US into war w/ Spain.
Ron Paul is probably more anti-war than any Democrat in national elected office. In truth, the Democrats are not anti-war, but they are in favor on extremely small-scale counter-insurgency movements. I don't think Ron Paul would have green lighted the assasination of Bin Laden, even if he had known that it would have been a success. That puts him to the Left of Obama on foreign policy. Paul, however, is clearly to the Right of either major party on the economy of the Guilded Age that he admires.
I'm a liberal Democrat, so I think Ron Paul's economic ideas are lunacy. However, I actually believes that he believes in what he says he wants to do. I think that he's honestly convinced in all of his ideas: ending all taxation; eliminating 95% of state, local and federal government from school teachers to tax auditors and putting the US squarely on the gold standard like William McKinley did after he won in 1896. Paul's just 100 years behind the times. However, he's right about foreign wars.

The point of what I said about Paul repeating himself is that he doesn't take his stand on issues farther than just saying he's against the war. He doesn't ever say when he would or how he would use our troops if found in the position. He has these views and ideas, but fails to execute further. Newt actually explained some things he would do.

I'm a staunch opponent of war and conscription and I don't hold it against Gingrich for allegedly draft-dodging. What I DO hold against him greatly is his staunch support for war, which he knows destroys families and yet he doesn't care. He's either lying when he says he knows what it's like for military families or he just doesn't care. The same for all of them up there. Except for Ron Paul, they all have no qualms about destroying thousands of American families via war.

It would be revolutionary, if Ron Paul were elected. I do not know if Paul supports protective tariffs, which were the only way the US government was able to raise revenue in the pre-Income Tax era. McKinley was for protective tariffs, because he wanted to protect American business interests. In those days, direct competition with sweatshops in India at that time run by Britain would've crippled US manufacturing. If Paul opposes tariffs, he's to the Right of any president since Andrew Jackson.

William McKinley, about whom most Americans know next to nothing, was very similar in his time to Ron Paul today. Both men we/are genuinely compassionate, affable, friendly & honest about eliminating as much of government interference as possible. The problem is that McKinley couldn't see how, for instance, it was the responsibility of the federal government to regulate corporations in any way whatsoever. Also he allowed Hearst, McKenna and Teddy Roosevelt to bully the US into war w/ Spain.

Ron Paul is probably more anti-war than any Democrat in national elected office. In truth, the Democrats are not anti-war, but they are in favor on extremely small-scale counter-insurgency movements. I don't think Ron Paul would have green lighted the assasination of Bin Laden, even if he had known that it would have been a success. That puts him to the Left of Obama on foreign policy. Paul, however, is clearly to the Right of either major party on the economy of the Guilded Age that he admires.

I'm a liberal Democrat, so I think Ron Paul's economic ideas are lunacy. However, I actually believes that he believes in what he says he wants to do. I think that he's honestly convinced in all of his ideas: ending all taxation; eliminating 95% of state, local and federal government from school teachers to tax auditors and putting the US squarely on the gold standard like William McKinley did after he won in 1896. Paul's just 100 years behind the times. However, he's right about foreign wars.

The point of what I said about Paul repeating himself is that he doesn't take his stand on issues farther than just saying he's against the war. He doesn't ever say when he would or how he would use our troops if found in the position. He has these views and ideas, but fails to execute further. Newt actually explained some things he would do.

what the f***? On what basis is Ron Paul making that claim. A presidential canidate is not defined by military service. Defering from the draft does not make a person a chickenhawk, it makes them reasonable. at least Newt decided to try and not slander anyone. That is a show of character. What did Ron Paul do? @Cablancer2 I thinks it's because Newt is so willing to send young men and women to war so easily to fight useless wars when he himself defferments from the draft.Newt was just proven a liar as government records had shown he was drafted, then got defferments....unless the government is lying to us about it cause he "wasn't eligable for the darft". Newt doesn't mind seem to care about people dying for the indutrial military complex(aka as war profitiering).atleast Ron call's it as he sees it

@jyusi4 While I agree that many wars that the U.S. has gotten involved with are unnecessary, I’m doing the same thing as Paul here in calling it as I see it. In my personal opinion, slander will never be a substitute for practical action. If Paul wants to sit around slamming other candidates in a nonintellectual way and I feel that he has not supported his claim with the Truth, what kind of man is he? Why should I vote for you? If the answer includes an opponent’s position, forget it.
