in level 8 it is not a requirement for a release move!!! cuz im a level 8 elite gymnast but i am in USAG so I dont know! but does it matter she did really good
you cant be level 8 elite cause theres no such thing unless you belong to a club that has like an intense team and a leisurely team and they just call it that to differentiate or something because level 8 elite doesnt really exist...youre either a level 8 , or your an elite which is like nastia liukin and shawn johnson...and i take it youre a level 8
cutiejv91, she might not have hit her hanstands (I thought she did on most) but, her form was excellent and so if the judges did not take off her form.. then the only thing they can take off for are her angles... so that is why it scored so high
wow. 9.575. how far in the season is she? i don't think she should have got that high of a score. she did not hit her handstands on high or low bar, and a hop at the landing.
ughh that sucks...I've hit my feet before duhh but not hard enough to break my toe or anything...I've learned how to pike down enough and still have good giants so now its not really a problem....if you hit your feet alot you should try straddle giants
yeah i've learned to pike down since then but my giants are really slow. and yes i have considered straddle giants but for some reason my coach wont let me do them.
well this season i was a level 8 i guess but i only did two meets. one real one practice. Cuz i sprained my back and tore a ligament. took 4 months to heal so yeah. but i did compete this june in YMCA nationals. It sucked cuz i only had two weeks to prepare after being gone for five months ( i sprained my fibula once my back was healed) ahaha anyway yeah i competed level 8 for that so my most recent score was a 36.85 cept i didnt have a yerchanko. how was ur season this year?
well, i also had a back problem only it wasn't as serious as that. over the summer my back muscles became too weak for my flexibilty so i couldn't do most of ny tumbling or most of my beam routine. but i pulled it together about 2 weeks before our first meet. and i think we had like 7 or 8 meets and i only did really bad at one of them. and then at state i had my best meet ever i got 1st on vault 9.525, 6th on bars 9.125, 7th on beam 9.225, 8th on floor 9.25, and 6th all around 37.075.
wow thats really good! ahaha i remember those level 7 days lol LOVE the vault omg i miss it lol. One time I got a 9.9 on vault in level 7 but now this year my vault doesnt even start out of a 9.9 lol
really the highest score i've seen this year is a 9.7
but now I have to learn yurchenkos and i really don't like them. mostly because i can't control which way my roundoff goes. like some days it's straight and other days it's all over the place.
omg i know. I am relearning my yerchanko since ive been out of gym. They are starting to get better but i know you feel. and oh yeah the 9.9 wasnt this year. It was last year.lol im not lying though. ahah i hate it when people do that just to brag or whatever.good luck with your yerchanko! you should get a video of it!
oh cool! My coach is making me start doing pike yerchankos ahhh i have only been flipping for like two weeks so its kinda scary lol. i hope you have good luck with yours =D

gymnastics887 4 years ago
Thank you. We just put up a Summer training vieo. Feel free to take a look at it and let me know if you can pick her out. (She's grown a little)
eufricon 4 years ago
Tell her to keep at it! Shes wonderful!
gymnastics887 4 years ago
i dont understnad how she got that high of a score because the touched her feet TWICE on the floor. that is a minimum of 5 tenths
AARcrazzy 4 years ago
It is a tricky angle though. I think you need to rewatch it. Her feet do not touch the floor.
eufricon 4 years ago
you did great!
except you need to kinda hit our handstand a lil more.
but hey fabulous routine!
=)
