I told my boss that there is no way I can work wednedays cause I need a day off in the middle of the week to be effective the other 4 days of the week and it worked. If I had to go to work 5 days a week I would be pissed, I'm cool with less money.
This is such a great song because we all know this feeling, just wanting to call in sick. It's such a great feeling when you finally get off the phone with your boss and you know you have the rest of the day off.
I'm pretty sure this song is not a cover, rather an original from Al. It certainly doesn't sound like any Nirvana song I can recollect. Anyone know which song it's supposedly a cover of?
the verses sound a lot more like R.E.M then they do Nirvana. just begining line is come as u are and then changes. but the chorus is actually really good and doesnt really sound like any band, but it fits with all the 90s music.
the song is ok. not his best but ok. and you idiots this was released in '95, a year after kurt's death. chances are this was a nice little tribute to the guy, similar to how a few years after freddie mercury died he parodied him in bohemian polka...

Why is it thumbed down? It is though.. Wierd al Well Ripped off Nirvana.. True isnt it?.. People?.... HELP ME OUT!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!1111oneoneone... But yeah.. I cant hear lithium, if it is in there it is probably faster but come as your are is definetly in there at the beginning.
the difference between parodied and stealing is he gets permission from whoever holds the rights to the songs first when he parodied. Then writes his own words to it.
umm, you shouldn't have posted that phone number at 2:47. If you want to make up a phone number, then do this:
Put any area code (maybe yours or something)
then put 555
then any last 4 digits:
xxx-555-xxxx
Any phone number with the 555 before the last four digits (after the area code) does not exist, so the caller will only get an error message. In fact, they use 555 numbers in games, tv shows, and movies so they don't get in trouble. This is a good thing to know.
lol the dudes that made Bruce Almighty got sued by a bunch of people that had the phone number that Bruce used to call god. turns out a bunch of lil kids called and told "god" their prayers. (dunno bout but i think it'd be fun to tell lil kids that god is a lie)
Agreed about the parents. For that matter, I don't see why you should have to put 555 in every phone number in the fictional world just because somebody might use it to prank call somebody else. If people can't laugh at themselves, what can they laugh at?
this is a pastiche or come as you are and lithium dudes

Al is my hero. Always loved his stuff...until he came out with Straight Outta Lynnwood. Tisk tisk Alfred, tisk tisk.
I hope the next album is good like all prior to Lynnwood.

No, he DIDN'T rip off Nirvana. He got permission first of all, and second of all it's a PARODY of Nirvana so of course it sounds like it.

bassline from "come as you are" by Nirvana (or inspired from).
