Think about it this way, there are older generation gamers who grew up playing these games therefore are more likely to remember them more fondly within thier top games lists. Then the newer generation of gamers grew up with the later life of the PSOne and onwards and therefore will more likely have newer games within thier top games lists.

I for that matter grew up with my first console being the sega mega drive, I still consider Sonic The Hedgehog 1 and 2 to be my fav games of all time.

Appreciate you answering me.  But I have to disagree the majority of titles here are platformers furthermore nearly all these games are children. (even my cousin who is 8 finds half of these childish & imature though of course he shouldn't be playing the mature content fps and such )

Some of the greatest may be missing, but at no point did I set out to compile a list of what would be considered "The Greatest" - this list is pure favouritism, and nothing more. If some of those "greatest games" aren't there, it's either because I haven't played them or (more likely) that I don't consider them favourites.

I can understand a lot of people not liking Skeleton Krew (don't really know anyone else who likes it), but it's just one of those games that takes you back to a certain time and place, you know the sort? I know the whole game backwards these days, but it's gave me a lot of fun times over the years.

Not that at this time and age now is a bad time for video games but the excitement and wonder is (i think) not quite the same. Certainly not for me. I've played plenty of Mario over the years - Super Mario Bros. 2 was fun, as were those two Super Mario Land games. They nearly made the list, but there are many games better than them. You're right about Zelda, partially. I've never played them, I've never had any interest in them or desire to play them, so I probably won't play them.

This is a good video and I love the mega drive and SONIC 2 IS AWESOME but where are the nintendo games like super mario 64 and super mario 3. I'm glad you added super metroid for nintendo but id not see one mario game in there. But the music was great and it had good pictures.
