@joaquinveyron To put it simply. The incentive structure is flawed. It is screwed to maximize personal material wealth. If you are an egoistical narcissist that is the way it should be. "All the boring repetitive...".
That's what you call automation technology. Maybe not known to a old Billy Bob Fresco who doesn t know hwt he s babbling.
@joaquinveyron O my, your model is soooo much better than Frescos. How bout trying to contribute. He even says in his own words, if you disagree, bring up a better model worth considering. Your attitude is why the human race goes to war... IGNORANCE. You offer nothing other than offensive with no alternatives to what has been presented, other than "he's wrong just because" . Totally ignorant. Jacque even says his system isnt perfect and is open to improvement, which you obviously cannot provide
Dipshit, he hasnt thought through his nonsense for a bit.
Dipshit, I am not doing anything??? Instead babling around and offering pseudo-solutions that only are able to catch cheap publicity of dumb dipshits like you, I AM working on alternative energie technologies.
@joaquinveyron No ones said alternative energy technologies aren't doing anything It all depends who you are working for and im very interested in what your are working on why don't you share your info. Is it wave, tidal, geo thermal, solar, wind, volcanic, nano, bio diesel, clean coal tech.I think you think people think your not working hard people still work hard in the monetary system just for the things that person wants/needs.
Incredible how the sollution to so many problems, including the environmental problems of today, can step up in front of everyone like Jacque did on COP, and stare them in the face - and still so many people do not recognize it. I know the play called Arms & The Man, by George Bernard Shaw I think. That's not what he's talking about but it's amusing and thought provoking (a fleeing soldier takes refuge in an enemy's house, saved by their social convention of hospitality to strangers, & dispels their romantic notions about war).
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
he's right about everything except the war on Irak...
This little thing annoys me. Bad homework there.
It is about positive vs negative freedom, and the stability of market economics as well as introduction of western christian banks into the middle east.
@pepakake27 He is not 70 years ahead, we are 70 years behind. He is what should have been atleast.40 years ago. I have never voted and never will, unless Jacque is running for president. Otherwise the onkly person i will vote for is me.And so should everyone else, next elections VOTE FOR YOURSELF and take back your rights..
This is what the T.V channels and schools must show often..not all the crap that they are feeding people 24/7 to keep them in this low mentality level that we see everywhere!!!
Jacque Fresco is a man of Extraordinary wisdom and Knowledge.his approach is simple, honest and straightforward..to comprehend his message you must step outside of the box and open your consciousness.
@binslick This pseudo-scientific blalbla sppech is given by a pseudo-scientific wanna-be-inventor who speaks for mentally challenged stupid guys like you who are wanna-be-out-of-the-box-thinkers. But before thinking out of the box, u should be able to think in the first place at all, right?
@Neanderthalcouzin From the website of the TVP: ""As you will see, The Venus Project is dedicated to confronting all of these problems by actively engaging in the research, development, and application of workable solutions. " Yep, the solutions the TVP "develops" (well they don't develop anything at all but only do pseudo-scientifi blabla) are this "workable" that not even their shitty website works properly. Hahahahahha.
@Neanderthalcouzin As it is the blabla of this old fart Fresco who is nothing but an old idiot, wanna-be-out-of-the-box thinker/inventor/world revolutionary. Mentally challenged as those who think that this TVP is about sth reallz NEW or that they really contribute solving problems in the world.
@joaquinveyron If I wanted to learn something about TVP and Jacque Fresco, and used your knowledge and comments as a guiding principle, I'd become dumber.
@Neanderthalcouzin Hahahaha, yes, sure. Go ahead and listen to this wanna-be-out-of-the-box thinker/inventor/world revolutionary with his pseudo-scientific blabla. I think that s where dump people like you belong and let other people, REAL engineers, scientists, inventors work on REAL solutions and technologies.
@joaquinveyron What's your fucking problem? Do you even know what he's worked on, invented, and his depth of knowledge? You keep repeating yourself too, like a parrot. You've offered nothing remotely constructive or informative, only ad hominem and random pointless put downs that carry absolutely no weight. Cheers for wasting my time.
@Neanderthalcouzin Energy-efficient technologies, new vehcicle concept, new materials, renewables, alternative energy technologies ... that s what is being worked on or already developped by real engineers and scientists and not only bragged about as by Fresco as if he invented them himself or if these technologies were sth NEW.
"Geothermal Energy, Underwater Turbines, Bering Strait Dam, Solar Power" (website of TVP) oooh, these r completely new technologies. Yes!! Yiiippiieeh!!! Nobody has thought of this or already developped. Nooooo!!! Hahahaha Super!!! Mankind has waited for the TVP. That s really revolutionary. Yes!!! Hahahaha ....
@Neanderthalcouzin From the VP website: ""As you will see, The Venus Project is dedicated to confronting all of these problems by actively engaging in the research, development, and application of workable solutions. " Ah, really, isn't that something, ahahahhaha. Ah, of course, nobody else develops energy efficient technologies etc. The VP doesn't provide any solution at all. Their solution is so "workable" that even their website works properly. hahahahahah. What a bunch of amateurs.
@joaquinveyron Dude, do you realize you just repeated the exact same comment to me, practically verbatim? Look, it's 6 comments below. It's almost the identical comment. So have you heard of painting by numbers? I guess you think, and discuss, and debate by numbers. I see nothing wrong with their website. I would make other arguments but it's difficult to know what you're even arguing, you're just being a tit.
@Neanderthalcouzin Neanderthal, of course there is nothing wrong with the TVP website, only perhaps that the layout and the Greek and German version is messed up. So much for "workable solutions" Hahahahhaha ... Whats wrong about the TVP as such is that it is about nothing NEW despite it being sold as a revolutionary new movement to dipshits like u. It is only a pseudo-scientific crap where no REAL and NEW solution is presented.
@joaquinveyron It's not being 'sold' as anything at all, and the fact that his ideas are necessarily connected with others is the nature of information, that's why Einstein's ideas are connected to Newtonian mechanics. He's been talking about these fucking ideas for over 70 years, so what you said about it being presented as new is total bullshit. Stop the word pseudo-science, it's tedious and totally bogus...
@Neanderthalcouzin Well, I don t waste my precious on such a bullshit. Don t connect this mentally challenged old fart with Einstein or Newton. No real new technology or new idea derives from him. But lucky for him that he can grasp the attention of dipshits like u, when point out to problems such as unemployment, violent crime, replacement of humans by technology, over-population etc. Well, it must have 1 good point to live inUS and A, country of stupidity.
@joaquinveyron... He talks about identifying and addressing the root causes of various social problems, and I've found nothing in his writings or work to suggest pseudo science, false conclusions or invalid assertions. You clearly have nothing valuable to offer to the subject, just ad hominem and patronizing nonsense.
I'm going out so if you respond I'll see it later. But really, don't waste either of our time with the same rephrased tittish statements.
@Neanderthalcouzin "He talks about identifying ..." Yes, how come we didn t need the "ingenuity" of such a wise guy, hahaha so far. Again, nothing new he discusses. He leads a very superficial argumentation anyhow, while making stupid generalizations and talking in stereo-typical prejudices that do not reflect the complexity of the world s problems. What am I saying. I am pretty sure he is famous in the US with his undifferentiated black/white babbling.
@joaquinveyron stop saying hahahaha it's embarrassing. You can't hold a normal conversation. you do nothing but insult him and give un-constructive put downs. Why don't you talk about the specific points you take issue with, rather than these detached pointless put downs, and we can have a constructive discussion. But if you do I'm sorry I really am going away and I'll have to wait to respond, but if you do please identify specific issues, don't parrot the same ad hominem.
@Neanderthalcouzin One last thing, you said 'how come we don't need the ingenuity of such a wise guy', I would have to disagree with that. His criticisms are predominantly of the various aspects of the monetary system that are unsustainable, inefficient and ultimately unnecessary. This is the status quo right now, and if it weren't his statement would obviously be unnecessary. The whole point is that we do need the ingenuity of sustainable resource management and system's engineering, etc.
@Neanderthalcouzin "Why don't you talk about the specific points" That s an excellent point. Let s talk about SPECIFIC points where the TVP provides a new, originary and specific solution that s not only a kindergarten idea but REAL. You see, there s n t any, but Billy Bobs and desperate housewives need to feel that they are doing sth REALLY important, .... hahahahahhahahah.
@Neanderthalcouzin What I have to offer? YOu mean apart from working as an engineer with a company that builds solar thermal power plants in Spain and now we are planning to build them in the Saharah. Well, nothing, apart from that. But that s not in question here anyhow. In question is what a self proclaimed revolutionary project that "presents a bold, new direction for humanity that" (hahaha ... i love this line). I can tell u: NOTHING, just blablablablablbalblablablablablablablabla
@joaquinveyron Why so disdainful about stating your profession? I think that sounds great, you think that's somehow a put down to me? I know tons of scientists and engineers, and none of them are as twatish as you. You don't think overhauling the entire socieconomic system we belong to and implementing a global systems approach without money, interest, debt and barter is a dramatic new approach? Your phony disdain makes you come off as a prick. Be patient if you respond, I got a train to catch
@Neanderthalcouzin You don t even understand the subtle use of irony. OMG. No, for me as an engineer this Fresco fart is a joke, at best.
"interest, debt and barter is a dramatic new approach? " This is not a new approach but only a childisch kingergarten idea of wanna be inventors. This system btw would create many more problems than it superficially pretends to solve. It pretends to solve greed and profit driven economies, which are not obliterated by this.
@Neanderthalcouzin But if were u, if first would reflect over what a person says to see whether it really shows new ideas or really brings sth forwards just instead of just blindly following someone or sth only bcs they say that the confront all serious problems of the world (unemployment, violent crime, greed) and give all mankind a meaninful life (oooohh, isn t that sth!! Sooooo great!!!!!! U only have to think "out of the box").
I have my misgivings about TVP, and I’ve raised debate, written to certain individuals and aired them. But that’s because I’m genuinely interested in this subject and rather than finding utility in ad hominem diatribes I actually like raising the level of the discussion to something substantive, talking about the specifics of what is possible and what’s not.
@joaquinveyron You’re closing paragraphs are just the same pugnacious little put-downs, and it’s useless to me. You once again fail to indicate that you’ve read Fresco’s directory of work, or those of his counterparts, and provide nothing constructive.
Many authors have written about it, many people work in it as a field, and more people are coming to the very real understanding that belonging to an infinite growth paradigm upon a finite planet is a dangerous continuum to be on. There’s nothing remotely superficial about this.
@joaquinveyron " ‘sustainable resource management.’ Hmmm, yes, nice buzz word.” Well it isn’t a word is it, it’s a string of words. You’ve really shot yourself in the foot with a comment like that. Sustainable use and management of resources is a universal concept for conservation organizations, national policies, and the planet as a whole.
@Neanderthalcouzin "‘sustainable resource management.’" Ofc, that's very important to do that, but this old fart certainly does not do anything but babbling about it.
Would there be anybody who would be against sust resor mgt??? Ofc not. That's why this shitty TVP uses these words so often, in order to grasp the attention and publicity of those who don't reflect over things for very long. They appear to work on really offering a solution, but ofc they don't, these fuckers.
@joaquinveyron “What’s the new thing?” well not that I have a major fetish for the ‘new thing’, but since you keep invoking this: the new thing would be an entire organization advocating moving beyond the monetary system entirely into a resource based global economy. But again, he’s been saying this for decades.
@joaquinveyron. As for never solving greed, that’s another declarative statement and I fundamentally disagree with that. Greed is a word we use to denote a behavioral mechanism that is heavily tied into the social and ecological environment, most specifically in regards to resources and pathways to prestige, power and access. We’re interested in dealing with the underlying causes.
@joaquinveyron You say if implemented it would never solve greed ‘or profit driven economies’. The whole point is evolving beyond monetary-ism as a means of exchange and of production and distribution of goods and services, hence the latter concern is one of its major attributes: if that wasn’t the case, it wouldn’t be in place.
@joaquinveyron And stop calling him a wanna-be-inventor, you really sound like you haven’t checked out anything on him when you say that.
“This system btw would create many more problems than it superficially pretends to solve.” That’s a broad declarative statement, and if you wanna get away with it you’ll have to be more convincing than just stating it without qualifiers.
@joaquinveyron “This is not a new approach but only a childish kingergarten idea of wanna be inventors.” Actually he’s been essentially discussing it for 7 decades, it isn’t remotely childish. He bases much of his ideas on scientific possibilities of technology, the sustainability of current practices and a whole host of issues (cyclical consumption, the nature of corruption, the profit motive and mechanism, the infinite growth paradigm, and on and on).
@Neanderthalcouzin "He bases much his ideas on scientific possibilities of technology,"
Well, he can babble around as much as he want. There are real engineers like me who are making or already made ideas happen, but certainly without any input needed from such an dried up old fart.
@joaquinveyron “You don t even understand the subtle use of irony.” Listen if you think any one of your posts so far carries with it the modicum of ‘subtle irony’ your in dire need of tutoring on that subject, as it’s about as subtle and ironic as something written on a toilet wall.
@Neanderthalcouzin Boy, oh, boy, I could write a book about the stupidities you said, but my time is precious. Spending 7 decades on sth in a superficial kindergarten way doesn't mean that it becomes solid science all in a sudden. For me, what the TVP, first of all, looks like a highschool project, given its superficiality and over-simplicity. Basic questions and problems are far away from being touched in a specific manner, not to talk about being solved by this old fart.
@Neanderthalcouzin Hahahaha, yeah, sure. Must be annoying to have somebody talking sense here, right. Makes one in ones's dumb dumb dummi weeny teeny stupid world uncomfortable.
Neanderthal, why don't you go back to your Neanderthal where u came from and where not so much brain is needed.
@joaquinveyron It's through using it that I've come to see the logic of the underlying tennets of moving beyond a monetary system one day into something resembling a resource based economy. As stated, I have certain miss givings about the Venus Project but overall the logic's sound. Regardless, there will be a necessity to move beyond profit as the driving mechanism of social progress and motivation, and beyond an infinit growth paradigm. It's actually very simple.
@Neanderthalcouzin Hahahahhahaha, yeah, right, bcs neither you and this old fart have a bloody idea what they r babbling about. Hahahahahahahahahahha ....btw, I developped a great new theory on levitation and power generation. Wanna hear it?
@joaquinveyron I've never carried myself with the level of dickishness you've been, and I've never responded to someone saying 'check out xyz's' work by going 'hahahahaha'. That's just plain odd.
@Neanderthalcouzin Well, it is a free world. There is room for enough for monkeys (i wanted to say ideas, but what this would mean that what u and this old fart r babbling were actually new ideas, which isn't the case). So keep on babbling and waste ur or anybody's money who's stupid enough to waste it on TVP. But be sure about on thing: don't waste public money. Then I will be coming after you. And certainly don't count me in for TVP. This is too stupid for me.
@joaquinveyron You really are a complete and total fucking moron. Aside from the non-sequiturs and meaningless displays of ignorance, you offer no constructive critique of the ideas or TVP. I've heard nothing yet, in all your comments, that gives a solid example of something that doesn't work. Nothing. Feel free to actually give concrete examples, and non of them better be references to flatulence as you seem to have a penchant for that.
@Neanderthalcouzin Fuckhead, if u could read, u would have read it already. There is no and need not be a "constructive" critique for bullshit, bcs there s n t any. Sorry, for destroying ur kindergarten world of TVP :-).
Yes, an example of sth that really works or an example for a specific solution that TVP developped or plans to develop is indeed missing. Nothing.
U can go and suck the dick of Fresco. I don t care. But again don t waste my or public money!
@Neanderthalcouzin Hahahah, reading through Fresco s book, one wouldn t know where to start to correct the 1000 inaccuracies you find there. Well, before being a "futurist" why be so ignorant about present day science and technology?
@Neanderthalcouzin "scientific method" Although this old fart doesn t have a clue what he is on about and why doesn t he apply a scientific approach as well in analyzing the world s problems as he does so generously? Why doesn t he explore existing technologies and those in devlopment honestly? -- Ah, giving an accurate analysis of existing technologies wouldn t interest his redneck audience so much. It is much better to sell himself as "out of the box thinker". Long live stupidity of men!
@joaquinveyron you got a fetish for repeating the same inane crap again and again. You never did give a single constructive criticism in all these comments, and I don't think you're a scientist. I'm embarrassed I wasted this much time on you.
@Neanderthalcouzin Sucker, I already told u that there can t be any constructive criticism bcs there s nth u can be contructive about. It s all crap.
You never did make a single point about what in this TVP crap would make sense, in specific terms.
I know you're not a scientist (and certainly not this Fresco fart). I'm not embarrassed I wasted this much time on you. It happened out of the curiosity in the sheer human stupidity, or u r human, or???
Seriously you can't give one single actual constructive critique after all this time, just the same shit again and again. You've really shown yourself to be an uninformed, small-minded would-be contrarian who hasn't read, studied or had meaningful dialogue about the things you purport to know. But worse, I think you're a liar. I doubt you've read a single one of his books, and I highly, highly doubt you're a scientist researching advanced solar energy systematics.
@Neanderthalcouzin Sucker, I am done talking to u. People like u and Fresco r full of shit. They don t know anything. Haven t thought over sth in detail. Haven t given the effort to look for whether there r already solutions or not. R wanna-be-out of the box thinkers, pseudo-intellectual and scientific. And those want to explain the world??? Hhahahahahaha ... I am done talking to a dumb-witted person like u.
You never were talking to me, you were talking at me, and if you ever had a valid thing to say, you've kept remarkably quiet on it and guarded it like gold teeth. This all started with you accosting me,and I gave you every opportunity to offer up some constructive criticisms, the dearth of which is indicative of your lack of study and talent at expressing yourself. The only understanding you appear to generate in a discussion is that you're an unpleasant, untutored, untruthful, unstoppable moron.
@Neanderthalcouzin I am done talking to u, sucker. If u can t read, then u can t read. I can neither educate illiterate persons nor do I want it. Go back to your fucked up TVP, where no critical thinking is desired.
@Neanderthalcouzin And yes, I even wasted my time on reading the BS books of this old fart. I wouldn t know where to start to correct the 1000 inaccuracies. But I was amused reading the chapter on "scientific method" (yeah, why doesn t he deploy it???).
Sucker, I already told u that there can t be any constructive criticism bcs there s nth u can be contructive about. It s all crap.
You never did make a single point about what in this TVP crap would make sense, in specific terms.
@joaquinveyron What's that little side comment you made about using 'public money and 'coming after' me? Fuck off mate. You carry yourself like a teenage boy, I'm starting to doubt if you're actually a scientist, a system's engineer working in advanced solar research. You carry yourself like your next decision will be whether to play World of Warcraft or jack off.
@Neanderthalcouzin What annoys me most is that these nutjobs pretend to be really revolutionary out of the box thinkers (which they r not ofc, bcs they don't come with nothing new) and that all the other world is only part of a greedy system. Yes, if it weren t for super Fresco, we all would focus our meaningless life on making money but lucky that we have this old fart. Yes!!
Instead wasting my time with these wanna bes, I work on actual problemseg how to increase t effici. of sol power plant
@Neanderthalcouzin This TVP looks like a highschool project of a bunch of amateurs. It is amazing that this is enough to incite the attention and publicity of people all around the world.
Funny is that he calls himself 'social engineer'. Hahaha, no I don't want an old fart like him to "engineer" society. Sounds very much like that guy in that James Bond movie who wanted to create a completly new human race.
@Neanderthalcouzin This man is a joke for anyone who really thinks out of the box.
I am using hahahahahahhah bcs that s the best you can do about this kind of pretentional crap. But I don t want to defend anybody s feeling. People in the US and A seem to be like this. Hahahhahahah
The man of the world. I love you Jacque. I feel your every single extentionality you have to say.

I know the play called Arms & The Man, by George Bernard Shaw I think. That's not what he's talking about but it's amusing and thought provoking (a fleeing soldier takes refuge in an enemy's house, saved by their social convention of hospitality to strangers, & dispels their romantic notions about war).

he's right about everything except the war on Irak...
This little thing annoys me. Bad homework there.
It is about positive vs negative freedom, and the stability of market economics as well as introduction of western christian banks into the middle east.

I suggest you research this a little more, the war on Irak is all about oil.

Hahahahahha.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron Alright mate, you're comment's totally meaningless.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin As it is the blabla of this old fart Fresco who is nothing but an old idiot, wanna-be-out-of-the-box thinker/inventor/world revolutionary. Mentally challenged as those who think that this TVP is about sth reallz NEW or that they really contribute solving problems in the world.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron If I wanted to learn something about TVP and Jacque Fresco, and used your knowledge and comments as a guiding principle, I'd become dumber.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin Hahahaha, yes, sure. Go ahead and listen to this wanna-be-out-of-the-box thinker/inventor/world revolutionary with his pseudo-scientific blabla. I think that s where dump people like you belong and let other people, REAL engineers, scientists, inventors work on REAL solutions and technologies.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron What's your fucking problem? Do you even know what he's worked on, invented, and his depth of knowledge? You keep repeating yourself too, like a parrot. You've offered nothing remotely constructive or informative, only ad hominem and random pointless put downs that carry absolutely no weight. Cheers for wasting my time.

What a bunch of amateurs.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron Dude, do you realize you just repeated the exact same comment to me, practically verbatim? Look, it's 6 comments below. It's almost the identical comment. So have you heard of painting by numbers? I guess you think, and discuss, and debate by numbers. I see nothing wrong with their website. I would make other arguments but it's difficult to know what you're even arguing, you're just being a tit.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin Neanderthal, of course there is nothing wrong with the TVP website, only perhaps that the layout and the Greek and German version is messed up. So much for "workable solutions" Hahahahhaha ... Whats wrong about the TVP as such is that it is about nothing NEW despite it being sold as a revolutionary new movement to dipshits like u. It is only a pseudo-scientific crap where no REAL and NEW solution is presented.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron It's not being 'sold' as anything at all, and the fact that his ideas are necessarily connected with others is the nature of information, that's why Einstein's ideas are connected to Newtonian mechanics. He's been talking about these fucking ideas for over 70 years, so what you said about it being presented as new is total bullshit. Stop the word pseudo-science, it's tedious and totally bogus...
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin Well, I don t waste my precious on such a bullshit. Don t connect this mentally challenged old fart with Einstein or Newton. No real new technology or new idea derives from him. But lucky for him that he can grasp the attention of dipshits like u, when point out to problems such as unemployment, violent crime, replacement of humans by technology, over-population etc. Well, it must have 1 good point to live inUS and A, country of stupidity.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron... He talks about identifying and addressing the root causes of various social problems, and I've found nothing in his writings or work to suggest pseudo science, false conclusions or invalid assertions. You clearly have nothing valuable to offer to the subject, just ad hominem and patronizing nonsense.
I'm going out so if you respond I'll see it later. But really, don't waste either of our time with the same rephrased tittish statements.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin "He talks about identifying ..." Yes, how come we didn t need the "ingenuity" of such a wise guy, hahaha so far. Again, nothing new he discusses. He leads a very superficial argumentation anyhow, while making stupid generalizations and talking in stereo-typical prejudices that do not reflect the complexity of the world s problems. What am I saying. I am pretty sure he is famous in the US with his undifferentiated black/white babbling.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron stop saying hahahaha it's embarrassing. You can't hold a normal conversation. you do nothing but insult him and give un-constructive put downs. Why don't you talk about the specific points you take issue with, rather than these detached pointless put downs, and we can have a constructive discussion. But if you do I'm sorry I really am going away and I'll have to wait to respond, but if you do please identify specific issues, don't parrot the same ad hominem.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin One last thing, you said 'how come we don't need the ingenuity of such a wise guy', I would have to disagree with that. His criticisms are predominantly of the various aspects of the monetary system that are unsustainable, inefficient and ultimately unnecessary. This is the status quo right now, and if it weren't his statement would obviously be unnecessary. The whole point is that we do need the ingenuity of sustainable resource management and system's engineering, etc.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin Critics about the risks of global financial systems, what s the new thing???
"sustainable resource management " Hmmm, yes, nice buzz word. Great!!!!!! Only has this stupid TVP nothing new to contribute here in concrete.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin "Why don't you talk about the specific points" That s an excellent point. Let s talk about SPECIFIC points where the TVP provides a new, originary and specific solution that s not only a kindergarten idea but REAL. You see, there s n t any, but Billy Bobs and desperate housewives need to feel that they are doing sth REALLY important, .... hahahahahhahahah.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin What I have to offer? YOu mean apart from working as an engineer with a company that builds solar thermal power plants in Spain and now we are planning to build them in the Saharah. Well, nothing, apart from that. But that s not in question here anyhow. In question is what a self proclaimed revolutionary project that "presents a bold, new direction for humanity that" (hahaha ... i love this line). I can tell u: NOTHING, just blablablablablbalblablablablablablablabla
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron Why so disdainful about stating your profession? I think that sounds great, you think that's somehow a put down to me? I know tons of scientists and engineers, and none of them are as twatish as you. You don't think overhauling the entire socieconomic system we belong to and implementing a global systems approach without money, interest, debt and barter is a dramatic new approach? Your phony disdain makes you come off as a prick. Be patient if you respond, I got a train to catch
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin You don t even understand the subtle use of irony. OMG. No, for me as an engineer this Fresco fart is a joke, at best.
"interest, debt and barter is a dramatic new approach? " This is not a new approach but only a childisch kingergarten idea of wanna be inventors. This system btw would create many more problems than it superficially pretends to solve. It pretends to solve greed and profit driven economies, which are not obliterated by this.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin But if were u, if first would reflect over what a person says to see whether it really shows new ideas or really brings sth forwards just instead of just blindly following someone or sth only bcs they say that the confront all serious problems of the world (unemployment, violent crime, greed) and give all mankind a meaninful life (oooohh, isn t that sth!! Sooooo great!!!!!! U only have to think "out of the box").
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
I have my misgivings about TVP, and I’ve raised debate, written to certain individuals and aired them. But that’s because I’m genuinely interested in this subject and rather than finding utility in ad hominem diatribes I actually like raising the level of the discussion to something substantive, talking about the specifics of what is possible and what’s not.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron You’re closing paragraphs are just the same pugnacious little put-downs, and it’s useless to me. You once again fail to indicate that you’ve read Fresco’s directory of work, or those of his counterparts, and provide nothing constructive.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
Many authors have written about it, many people work in it as a field, and more people are coming to the very real understanding that belonging to an infinite growth paradigm upon a finite planet is a dangerous continuum to be on. There’s nothing remotely superficial about this.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron " ‘sustainable resource management.’ Hmmm, yes, nice buzz word.” Well it isn’t a word is it, it’s a string of words. You’ve really shot yourself in the foot with a comment like that. Sustainable use and management of resources is a universal concept for conservation organizations, national policies, and the planet as a whole.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin "‘sustainable resource management.’" Ofc, that's very important to do that, but this old fart certainly does not do anything but babbling about it.
Would there be anybody who would be against sust resor mgt??? Ofc not. That's why this shitty TVP uses these words so often, in order to grasp the attention and publicity of those who don't reflect over things for very long. They appear to work on really offering a solution, but ofc they don't, these fuckers.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron “What’s the new thing?” well not that I have a major fetish for the ‘new thing’, but since you keep invoking this: the new thing would be an entire organization advocating moving beyond the monetary system entirely into a resource based global economy. But again, he’s been saying this for decades.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron. As for never solving greed, that’s another declarative statement and I fundamentally disagree with that. Greed is a word we use to denote a behavioral mechanism that is heavily tied into the social and ecological environment, most specifically in regards to resources and pathways to prestige, power and access. We’re interested in dealing with the underlying causes.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron You say if implemented it would never solve greed ‘or profit driven economies’. The whole point is evolving beyond monetary-ism as a means of exchange and of production and distribution of goods and services, hence the latter concern is one of its major attributes: if that wasn’t the case, it wouldn’t be in place.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron And stop calling him a wanna-be-inventor, you really sound like you haven’t checked out anything on him when you say that.
“This system btw would create many more problems than it superficially pretends to solve.” That’s a broad declarative statement, and if you wanna get away with it you’ll have to be more convincing than just stating it without qualifiers.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron “This is not a new approach but only a childish kingergarten idea of wanna be inventors.” Actually he’s been essentially discussing it for 7 decades, it isn’t remotely childish. He bases much of his ideas on scientific possibilities of technology, the sustainability of current practices and a whole host of issues (cyclical consumption, the nature of corruption, the profit motive and mechanism, the infinite growth paradigm, and on and on).
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin "He bases much his ideas on scientific possibilities of technology,"
Well, he can babble around as much as he want. There are real engineers like me who are making or already made ideas happen, but certainly without any input needed from such an dried up old fart.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron “You don t even understand the subtle use of irony.” Listen if you think any one of your posts so far carries with it the modicum of ‘subtle irony’ your in dire need of tutoring on that subject, as it’s about as subtle and ironic as something written on a toilet wall.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin Boy, oh, boy, I could write a book about the stupidities you said, but my time is precious. Spending 7 decades on sth in a superficial kindergarten way doesn't mean that it becomes solid science all in a sudden. For me, what the TVP, first of all, looks like a highschool project, given its superficiality and over-simplicity. Basic questions and problems are far away from being touched in a specific manner, not to talk about being solved by this old fart.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron One again an inflated pugnacious diatribe with no useful observations whatsoever.

Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin Ok, ok, ok, ok, you are the winner. I admit you have a brain. Why not use it?
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron It's through using it that I've come to see the logic of the underlying tennets of moving beyond a monetary system one day into something resembling a resource based economy. As stated, I have certain miss givings about the Venus Project but overall the logic's sound. Regardless, there will be a necessity to move beyond profit as the driving mechanism of social progress and motivation, and beyond an infinit growth paradigm. It's actually very simple.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin U used ur brain? Really? Wasn t aware of that. Anyhow, if it is so easy to see, then even u will be able to lay out the "logic".

Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin Well, it is a free world. There is room for enough for monkeys (i wanted to say ideas, but what this would mean that what u and this old fart r babbling were actually new ideas, which isn't the case). So keep on babbling and waste ur or anybody's money who's stupid enough to waste it on TVP. But be sure about on thing: don't waste public money. Then I will be coming after you. And certainly don't count me in for TVP. This is too stupid for me.
joaquinveyron 1 year ago
@joaquinveyron You really are a complete and total fucking moron. Aside from the non-sequiturs and meaningless displays of ignorance, you offer no constructive critique of the ideas or TVP. I've heard nothing yet, in all your comments, that gives a solid example of something that doesn't work. Nothing. Feel free to actually give concrete examples, and non of them better be references to flatulence as you seem to have a penchant for that.
Neanderthalcouzin 1 year ago
@Neanderthalcouzin Fuckhead, if u could read, u would have read it already. There is no and need not be a "constructive" critique for bullshit, bcs there s n t any. Sorry, for destroying ur kindergarten world of TVP :-).

@Neanderthalcouzin "scientific method" Although this old fart doesn t have a clue what he is on about and why doesn t he apply a scientific approach as well in analyzing the world s problems as he does so generously?
