  • One of my favorite songs by now, really amazing how it is build up. Respect.

  • To my Croatian friend who at one point was my love too.

this song conjures up so many memories .

I can still see your figure fading away at Zagreb airport many years ago, me thinking I might never see you again and unfortunately , I was right there.

Never have I forgotten you .

Never have I forgotten some of the best moments of my life .

And I spent them with you .

  • kako je divna pesma.

  • magnifique cette chanson que j'ai découverte au concert a LYON , le 20 octobre 2011 , bravo

  • What are the instruments used in this song?

  • does anyone know where i can find the sheet for this song???or at least the chords,i want to make a transcription for 6 cellos

  • Just love it

  • yey!!!!!!!!! :D

  • This is an awesome night driving song on a lonely winding road.

  • china forbes and katie noonan...... would be heaven!!!

  • This is such great interpretation of U Plavu Zoru....I love It

  • WHAT THE .................HOW GOOD IS THIS. BEYOND EVERYTHING, I JUST LOVE THIS . I WOULD JUST LOVE TO SEE THIS OUTFIT. HAVE ALL ALBUMS.GOD'S!

  • but song is very unusual for croatian landmarks as we don't use so much trumpets in our native music, and guitar playing sounds mexican xD

so all this drove my imagination in South America while it was under Spain - Zorro times , class of piano and cello and native Mexican/Spain violins and trumpets mixing.

We do have good traditon of great piano(maksim mrvica, bruno vhahek) and cello (ana & snježana rucner) players tho :)

In all, it's amazing and unusual piece of art pink has created :)

  • Bad Croatian? Who cares? If she were singing a hungarian song i would be grateful.

  • i am a very new listener to pink martini iam not dissapointed yet

  • Nor are you dissipated.

  • trust me,you will not.

  • you will never be dissapointed with pink martini, i can assure you that china forbes has the most beautiful voice in all the history of music...it's enchanting and the music is perfect, not to mention they have so many compositions in different languages.

  • Awesome! What a voice.

  • The song is Croatian, but its bad Croatian...

  • The song is definitely in Croatian, but can be understood by any of the ex-Yugoslav nations, because their languages are very similar.Lovely song and excellent interpretation.

  • really nice song. Love the music.. lyric is simple, but who cares... music is epic, love this combination of instruments

  • yugoslovenian :) nice song

  • @senovac88

It is Croatian. ( the name of the language the song is sung in. ) Not the "word" you wrote , (lol)

  • Amazingly good.

I knew they were superb - but this is literally unheard of, and the thrill is riveting, enthralling, quick, gimme another thesaurus!

  • @7855waldo

my favourite song of all times too.

  • @22heimatt - Just got back from the PM concert at Town Hall in Manhattan.

Enjoyed immensely; alas, audience = too many un-ignitable New Yorkers.

The best experience - a lady violinist seated right in front of us, not a regular member of the band (entire string section were local musicians who were asked to play with them).

Never in my life have I ever seen anyone so appreciative of his/her good fortune. She was enthralled! And needless to say, fascinating to watch.

    Be well.

  • however, the song is beautiful!

  • gives me a shivers this song beautiful!!

  • Que música tan bella. CHina puede cantar en cualquier idioma y su pronunciación es PERFECTA.

  • I'm charlee. I c see up your nose. RIGHT NOW.

  • Alexis is a criminal. She is an onion stealer.

She eats a lot of garlic and has terrible breath.

  • doesn't have to be. there are parts of croatia that speak in ekavica, and svetlo can be croatian

  • It's serbian, actually. The pronunciation of the word "svetlo" is specificly serbian. You're wellcome.

  • Pure Croatian language! GwiGwi is pretentious ignorant...

Vlak (train) is pure Croatian word. Though this discussion is senseless i had to post a comment...

    You're wellcome :-)

  • FYI - the word "vlak" also exists in Czech language, so not sure if it's purely Croatian :)

  • FYI - this is definitely not Czechian... We could discuss some other linguistic issues, but this is sang either in Croatian, or Serbian or Bosnian..... But the use of word "vlak" makes it definitely Croatian....... And there is no discussion about it........

  • Nice try keatingpiers, but not correct. This is amusing me. I will give you a clue: It comes from southern Europe, but not from the far western part of europe, but rather the eastern part.

  • Something slavic, Croation/Serbian? I'm only figureing that because you said southern eastern Europe, which is basically what yugoslavia translated to.

  • It is Croatian! Amazingly good pronunciation for someone who is not native speaker. But I am not realistic as I am deeply in love with China Forbes....;-))))) Silent night Shadows are on the run I hear a sound that calls me nearer. In the blue dawn With the daylight At my door you come. You will find My empty bed While the train takes me far away.
  • Sorry Dal, get in line. There's a 100,000 of us ahead of you in the "DIL" department.

  • Funny, I was listening to this on the train and thought it went perfectly with it's rythm.

Now i know the lyrics reiterate that too. Nice :)

  • Portuguese!

  • Bravo, svaka cast Pink Martini! I want you guys to guess what language this is, hehe

  • This is my favorite song..I do not know why, but it is.

Is there anyone who can translate the title and the words?

  • What genre of music would you call this. Definitely memorizing.

  • i had the chance to listen to that song in live, during their 2006 tour which passed by paris. they were accompanied by a girl playing the cello, from the paris orchestra, they were applaused for more then ten minutes after they were done with that song... amazing, brillant!

  • Just saw Pink Martini in San Antonio...front row...totally awesome. Highly recommended!

I loved every song but this one was perfect.

    GoSpursGo

  • Hey, I was in San Antonio and was at the same concert. My friends and I had the best time and walked out of the theater singing and dancing to Brazil! Cheers from Seattle.

  • Treelady...Glad you got to be at the Majestic...you got to conga with the ex-Mayor of San Antonio! A great time.

  • Simply Breathtaking! Bravo PM Keep Up the Great Work!

  • It's amazing how China manages to reproduce the exact pronunciation of Croatian of that time! noone speaks Croatian as softly as that anymore :o)

  • does anyone know of the original version of this song?...is there one?

  • I saw Pink Martini in cncert last evening in Adelaide, Australia.

Each individual is brilliant in their own right, and as a band gives their audience a lasting memory & wonderful experience. This piece of music left a lasting memory.

  • AMAZING!

this is one of my favorite songs of PM!!!
