Captain's Mid-day Announcement on QE2

I wish I could of seen the QE2's arrival in NYC. Of course I was asleep on the other side of the Hudson River the day the ship arrived into NYC that morning. At least I saw all three Queens depart that very night. My only hope is that the QE2 will be preserved and not scrapped. Still feel very uneasy where she is at now.

I saw her being built on the Clyde and saw her at sea. Tis a pity she hit the iceberg.

Man! Thanks ever so much for this video! I have walked those decks, was given a personal tour of the bridge by (then) Captain Robin Woodall, to whom I presentd a pastel painting of the ship. Seeing this video and others brings some pleasnat memories of my sailing with Titanic International.

I was on the QE2 at the same time this was shot, i was inside the ship though !
