I saw the AVGN review and boy was this a a piece of crap. Its easy to tell cause the CD add on seems to crash as soon as its started and Atari tried to pass it off as a 64 bit system but it really wasn't

I played the Jaguar for the first time a couple days ago. "Atari Karts" is fun and has nice graphics. "Tempest 2000" is great. "Bubsy Fractured Furry Tales‎" seems OK but too hard. "Cybermorph" seems kinda boring, but it could grow on me (hey, I've only had the system for 2 days or so). I haven't tried out "Club Drive" yet.

I remember owning this hunk of garbage when I was 11. I remember purchasing it brand new for only $30 from Kay Bee Toys. The only way I could purchase games was to order them from this company and wait until they arrived in the mail! Had I known this shit was now going for over $100 plus on ebay, I would've kept it. What a terrible system though with the most impractical controller, those number buttons never did shit except on a handful of games.

I will never forget how my friend hyped the shit out of this console. He would talk about how the processors were so much more advanced then anything around at the time and the games were going to be so colorful and with great graphics and sound and it was just going to be so awesome. Only a handful of decent games ever came out for this bucket of shit system. Meryl719 named them all and the rest were complete shit. "Worst console ever!"

Oh, and BTW, the only good games on this console were Doom, Tempest 2000, Rayman, Pitfall, Wolfenstein 3D, and Alien vs. Predator. Everything else sucked.

I read that it's possible to turn off the woman's voice on Cybermorph but how? I tried the menu but it just has levels and then takes me to choose the vehicle.

I know Cybermorph isn't a good game but trying without that annoying voice is good.

Atari Jaguar wasn't all that bad like people say, the fault goes to the games not the console.

there was going to be a jaguar 2.The Atari Jaguar II was to be the successor to the Atari Jaguar. The console reached the lab prototype stage with partial working silicon. The project was cancelled in the summer of 1995 before a final design could be completed, and before Atari merged with hard drive manufacturer JTS Corporation. The Jaguar failed 'cuz no one wanted anything to do with it, which itself is because of several reasons. Everyone was paying attention to the other (better) consoles of the fifth generation, mostly the Sega Saturn, Sony PlayStation, and last but not least Nintendo 64.
