  • He's my mom uncle !

  • Tony Sanchez appeared very shortly in a doucmentary about The Stones around 1987 on MTV. He talked about Keith's 1967 bust.

  • @armorednose

    YEAAAAAAAH!

  • What was BS in the book? Stuff that Keith didn't like? Best book ever written on the Rolling Stones by far. Gives you the best "feel" for the whole thing. Okay. He lied about Keith getting his blood "replaced." So what? Great book. Most of it I'm sure is true. Anita and the Mandrax. China white. Nellcote. Keith the Pirate. The problems with the french police at Nellcote. All true.

  • @kentucy9999 I think his book does just as you say, give you the best 'feel' of the thing. Man, what a life.

  • @kolbpilot Yes. Fascinating life. No doubt. I'm a little older now so I guess I look at it all a little differently. I had enough "problems" with drugs + alcohol when I was younger to know addiction can be pretty tedious. My "sleep/wake" cycle got all f__ up at times. I wouldn't sleep for 2 or 3 days then sleep for 20 hrs. I'm not sure addiction was all that "glamorous" for Keith. Fame too. Yes, the praise and the girls are fun but I'm not sure I'd like people outside my house with camera's.

  • @kentucy9999 I thought that book was just crazy and exasperated when I was 12 and first read it but went back and just re read it last week and wow! HE IS RIGHT ON! He captured the era and the reality.

  • @TheArsenalgooner Absolutely. Tony was there. I remember one time in the book he talked about how he was "jones-ing" bad for heroin and he knocked on Keith's door and Keith slammed the door in his face because at that moment Keith didn't have much himself. No junkie is gonna give you anything if they don't have much regardless of how rich and famous they are. When it comes to dope a junkie is a junkie. I'm sure Tony had some great times and times he'd like to forget. That life takes a toll.

  • @kentucy9999 Do you know if he's still with us? I have not heard anything from him in ages.

  • En resumen, una puta basura de tío.

  • What's the name of the Song?

  • @STFDVC

Ventilator Blues - The Rolling Stones

  • Dang, Anita would make a dead man cum at :13. Sanchez also wrote a book about life with the Stones, "Up and Down w/ the Rolling Stones." Pretty depressing read.

  • @steveconn apparently his book has a lot of bullshit in it. i read "Exile on Main Street: A Season in Hell with the Rolling Stones," and in it he talks about how much Tony made stuff up in his book.

  • @steveconn I think that's Marianne Faithfull, not Anita...I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. Her and Tony had several affairs while she was still "involved" with Mick.

  • @jf4r3w311 Might be hard to believe but Tony Sanchez was my great grandad and i have alot of pictures he took, some of the girls naked, along with the ones from his book and i thought it was anita

  • @nickdominguez56 When did he pass away? Rest In peace Spanish Tony.

  • @TheArsenalgooner Around 10 years ago

  • @nickdominguez56 I saw that there is a small notice at the end of the revised "up and down" aka "I was Keith Richard's drug dealer". If you were left ANY papers, tapes, photos etc you should try to create either a website or book. I'm curious though, how is he your GREAT grand dad and you are 19 according to your channel?? He had children in the early 60's so how did their children have children within the span of less than 50 years? sounds almost impossible unless Tony's kids had kids at 14!

  • @nickdominguez56 (cont) unless your grandparents were born earlier than the 1960s. Very cool in any case. You should contact the daily mail because if your grand dad Tony were alive today he'd rule the internet when it comes to stones trivia, nostalgia and interviews. You should consider taking over where he left if you want-the trivia and photography NOT the drugs!!

  • @TheArsenalgooner Sorry i was never aware until i asked my dad,he was just a grand farther... we was never greatly close with Tony i only met him a few times and even then i called him uncle Tony, and even Tonys mum was acting as my nan and we were close. but I have a lot of pictures, the cameras he left, have time sheets for one of the tours.

  • @theArsenalgooner (cont) , letters from Christies auction in Kensington with receipts of items sold that were worn by the stones. a few phone books with some of the stars addresses and phone numbers.

  • @nickdominguez56 That is very cool. If you have sole ownership of photos and other ephemera you should consider your own website!

  • @TheArsenalgooner there mainly a4 sheets with long thin strips of photos, lots of different ones and most of the circled ones are the pictures shown in his book. but others of him about with the stones and some lady's with kids, also of them on the tack of the monarco formula one. there was even a few of riots witch look like London due to the police but i dont know.

  • @jf4r3w311 That is neither. That is Madeline D'arcy, his love who died from a severe withdrawal episode. Faithfull wrote a beautiful song called "Lady Madeline" for her which mentions Spanish Tony.

  • HE WAS THE DEALER

  • @tonyspanish ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,So? He was part of the "circle" also. What if he was the dealer? That was his "in." Everybody has an "in" somewhere. Some people are pretty. Some people have money. Some people have access to good drugs. Some people can write poetry. Everybody punches their own ticket. What difference does it make?
