why is the left hand used for the bass and the left for melody? it seems it would make more sense for them to be switched, as to not cross over the neck with the arms, possibly muting the other side of the neck by accident

you get more tapping power with the cross over method, plus like piano, most people have a greater coordination with their right hand for melodies and leads.... thanks Frank
