no leds suck they are better than cfls but nothing can touch hps. hps will produce bigger buds and better growth than cfls or leds. any1 that has grown with cfls and hps will tell you that cfls can even come close to using hps. leds will help with tric production but if you dont have hps the weight will not be there. i have grown with all three and hps blows the other two out of the water by a long shot!

I have a digital 250 watt hps now. contrary to popular belief cfls are actually warmer because the ballast is inside as well.. and my digital hps ballst sits outside my growbox..and it actually only uses 250 watts cfls are great though if u can mold the plant around them for max efficiancy

@STONEREXPRESS420 depends where you are, if your in the uk try a website called grotec.co.uk, or try good old ebay. you will get mylar on those places. dont use tin foil it will reflect to much heat. if you cant get hold of any mylar then paint the inside of your grow box white, it will do the job.

Not worth it get a 150 watt hps it will give you 3x better, denser, more potent and colorful nugs then that with one light and its not even hot...You will save ALOT of electricity and be happier bro those cfls are garbage use the 125 cfl maby to get some resin but cfls no good with flowering solo

Its about the lumens (& lumens to watt) produced & the PAR spectrum of the lamp producing them.

There are other viable (and FUN for experimenting) growing methods & lighting methods other then HPS, quit being an HPS fanboy.

Heat is a real issue for any wattage HPS, and the lumens to watt ratio of a 150W HPS would be GARBAGE. In SMALL growing spaces HPS lamps are typically not very viable,unless you want to waste way more money on electricity then u need to (eg. ventilation)

lots of guys here know what they are talking about, look at the light spectrum, i run 5 6400k bulbs for veg and and 5 2700k and 2 6400k bulbs for flower. gotta give it the right light and a lot of it, seems a waste to bloom with veg lighting

You would have yielded more if you had more 2700-3000K bulbs. You basically had 150W of 3000k for what looked like more than 6 plants, and you had 275W of veg bulbs in there. Not nearly enough flowering bulbs. You probably could have gotten close to an Oz per plant if you were using about 150-200 more watts of 2700-3000k.

very nice cfl box u have.. they look so healthy.. . what are your temps. i saw humidty was 54 or somethin.. ,. everyone doing cfls.. good ventilation is very important.. my newest plant is budding better and getting more suggary do to a lot of wind....enough so the plant is constantly. seems like most plants can take a lot of wind. you also want a lot of wind to blow the heat around so there are no hot spots before ur exhaust pulls some out.. do vent best u can everyone its very important

I dont fully agree, HPS does better when it comes to yeild and faster harvest. It will make your plant grow taller. Which is EXACTLY why I like it! I tried the duel spectrum bulbs (expensive) not worth it. Plants were shorter, they were very healthly but I wasnt happy. I always thought I should throw a couple MH in the bud, but Its a waste of money, time, and when its all said and done, your better off keeping it simple. You can even veg with HPS lights if you so desire, plants go bizerk! =)

Yes, 6500k blue veg and 2500k red flower.You can use blue the entire cycle but your yield will be less your plants will be stouter in stature and many claim the bud is sweeter.Never use pure red always mix them pure red will make your plants stretch way too much.☺
