Interesting. I knew that testosterone gives a wider jaw and a bigger brow.

Had no idea tha estrogen produces just as noticeable a change in the face.

The therapist usually looks at your age first...if youre below 40 you may have the option of taking estrogen orally...depending on your health. After 40 it becomes important to bypass the liver and therefore the patch is recommended. ALWAYS consult a doctor before taking any medications...and be sure hormone therapy is ALWAYS with a doctors approval and uder the direction of a qualified Endocrinologist. Good Luck!

At the moment, I am taking 3 MGs of Estradiol, as well as 150 MGs of Spironolacton (testosterone blocker) a day. If you are planning to start hormones, I strongly suggest going through a doctor.

How do you get changes to your face after 7 weeks?? I've been on hormones for 8 months and my face hasn't changed in any noticeable way at all! There is change but you have to look HARD for it, it's not obvious.

Yeah, things seem to be a lot smoother around my mouth... and my face seems more heart shaped. You can tell if you watch the Silly Girl Faces video, I wasn't on hormones then.
