i have a used Netgear wireless router which my cousin gave me, and i am having a hard time setting it up in our house. what i did was i connected it to the modem(which my IP provided) in the INTERNET port, then connected my PC to one of it's LAN ports.. i followed the correct sequence in turning on the devices, and I can open it thru 192.168.1.1. but theres really an error after detecting my internet connection., and yes i have already reset the Wrouter many times.. can anyone help me?
Hi not to sound dumb but are Access points like boosters? i mean do they extend the range of the wireless signal? im trying to set something up at my home where the internet is accessible inside the house and outside. Im trying to do what the airports and other places have, my connection in the livingroom are horrible :S
