man, I'm no scientist but here's where I think the dilemma is. If we can squeeze matter to the smallest size and mass possible, wouldn't that be an elementary particle?
What I mean is that since EPs are the smallest things, and since you can't squeeze to even smaller things, they seem to LOOK LIKE the smallest black holes. I think the problem lies in the ASSUMPTION that black holes have no lower size limit.
Maybe the difference is that EPs are unsqueezed Black holes :P
