the european commission only looks after the intrerests of the Union itself. that't it's job. the european parlement looks after the interests of the population
As a European taxpayer who helps to finance the over-paid and un-elected commission....I would like to ask two simple questions.
1. Why is a man who tortures & incarcerates his political opponents allowed to take part in EU `talks ´? I refer to Belarus´ president Alexander Lukashenko.
2.Why is the commission so keen to see Croatia join the EU ?
To quote Croatian journalist Goran Flauder ´ We like to say where Italy is a state with a Mafia,Croatia is a Mafia with a state ´.
first of all, offcourse the european commission isn't elected. just like national ministers arent directly elected.
1: Alexander Lukashenko is involved in EU talks because the EU is trying to separate Belarus more and more from russian influence. If that means that you have to talk to someone like Alexander Lukashenko, so be it. besides, if you involve him you can do something about the human rights violations
2: why the EU want croatia to join. i dont know but perhaps, if we take the quote; croatia is a mafia with a state. if that is the case, then perhaps you can do something about it. apparently they see some benefit if croatia joins the EU. thats undoubtebly an economic benefit but i quess the human rights aspect is also taken into consideration
First of all the european commission isn't elected,..correct. Secondly ,although national ministers are not elected, you have forgotten that the EU is NOT a nation.Your comparison is therefore, with respect, not a good one.
As far as your `human rights ´logic goes... the more corrupt and despotic a country is,the bigger the chance they will have to join the EU.
I disagree that this is the right road to take.
Maybe you'd like Zimbabwe to join now geography is no longer important (see Turkey).
you are right if you say that the european union is not an nation in the strict sense of the word. but we also elect a european parliament. EU institutions do reflect the structure of a nation. youre second point is only valid if you presume that i dont think that geography is important. i do think geography is important, i dont want turkey to join but as long as it is in our reach to influence the situation in corrupt EUROPEAN countrys, i think we should do it.
Death penalty is legal for the court of human rights.
Also the court of human rights can at any time trow away a case, if the applicant is asking to much, also if he don't ask enough the court of human rights can interpret-ate as if you stop the proceedings. The court of human rights is a byes fraud court in the hands of the lobbies. I talk from personal experience. NO TO THE EUROPEAN CONSTITUTION TILL ALL POINTS ARE CLEAR. NO TO TERROR STATE.
"They" always complain that PEOPLE dont understand their "elite" ideas. Either because PEOPLE are too stupid. Or because their ideas have not been "sold" well enough to PEOPLE.
They are rather constanly impeaching the PEOPLE than following the orders received by the CONSTITUTIONS and the PEOPLE.
This urgently needs to be fixed.
The best way for this approach I think is to communicate and start LOCAL political action.
In Holland, a few years ago, one-third of Dutch voters voted for a dead guy (Pim Fortuyn). Voters *are* morons.
This treaty, however, exists to create a United States of Europe. I don't like that.
Our leaders might be malignant idiots, but they're *our* malignant idiots, and I'd hate to see that change. Why? Because whatever mess they create, they have to live in it. They are accountable to the people of this country. When you cross borders, that will no longer be the case.

Say no, wipe that spit off your face and stop their lies.
We don't need leaders, we need administrators that will do our will instead of criminals pushing their will upon us.
We need a "direct democracy" where we can have a voice and say in what's right for us not some wealthy elite.

"Voters are morons."fvschie ?
That I definetely oppose :-(
BTW I am neither "right" nor "left" wing.
But there is one good thing about BOTH wings.
They direct ATTENTION to vital matters which the malignant idiots are to cowardish to address.
The malignant idiots only carry out one job: Manufacturing FAKE consent about how the aleady VERY rich can get even richer.
And that is CRIMINAL, isn´t it?
Because it has NOTHING to do anymore with the MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE.
Manufacturing consent ? :-((((
