Right at 0:58 this song stops being just a pretty tune, and turns into something that expresses the emotions of time. Its amazing that this game is about time travel and I feel like this is the only constant in my journey through time. no matter what I'm doing in life, or how old I am, I will always have a place for this game in my heart.

What really sold the moment when you gaze at the floating islands for the first time was this music, which really drove the point of "You're not in Kansas anymore."

I did not play for a half-hour, just watched and listened so I could take in the whole experience.

I wouldnt mind reliving the 90s again....all this game music, Chronotrigger, LTTP, FF IV and FFVI, SMW, Super Metroid, game music nowdays just doesnt do it for me. FFX, Tales of Symphonia, Mario Galaxy, the Super Smash Brothers Brawl theme are probably the only themes of the last decade I can hang onto. There are fantastic games out now, but the music doesnt stick with me.

great gems dont come around all the time, might get 1-2 fantastic games a year, and the rest are great or worse.

I do agree that it seems creativity has lacked in favor of more cutting edge graphics and such. My hope is eventually great graphics are cheaper to produce so game companies can start focusing their attention elsewhere

not the i dont appreciate the old games. I still play snes/ps1 era rpgs, but there are a ton of great modern games to be found. Metal Gear solid 4, Dark Souls, Halo 3 (By far the best competitive game ive ever played, dont hate cause its a popular fps. its 4v4 matches excelled like only an arcade shooter can) anything by pixel junk, lost odyssey, uncharted, Fallout 3 (kinda glitchy but still excellent) Starcraft 2, final fantasy versus XIII (hopefully) +some others

The thing i love about chrono trigger is the first time you hear this music you can't help but stop for a second. Than when you actually hear it in the kingdom of zeal you realize that not everything is as it appears. Melchior is probably the most foreshadowing you get in CT besides Janus speaking of the black wind. God i miss this game so much

It's not a problem with technology, it's that we need to start using this technology for art direction and art style, not realism. The closest thing we have to a "Fun, innovative and new gameplaymechanic" nowadays is the so-called free, "Mediocre" flash-games from places like Newgrounds'n Armorgames because alot of them doesn't care about what's popular like CoD or WoW Or whatever, they just take a random idea and go with it no matter how stupid it may seem. I miss the old times when everything could happen without a real reason.
