As late as 1994, a few yeas ago now, I got replacement parts for my old Maytag from my local Maytag appliance parts dealer. All I had to do was look at a parts catalog to identify the machine. The dealer said Maytag makes replacement parts for all its machines. Don't know if this is still true. I found my old Maytag in the trash, too. Used it until the tub rusted through.
I had an old norge wringer washer years ago no water pump.Well i put a pump on it and an extra motor to power it it made the washer a little heavy but hey it sure pumped the water.Thats a nice machine sure wish i could find one
Nice video. I have three of these old machines. Two E2Ls and one that has a gravity drain. Fun way to wash clothes. Glad to see that there are others who enjoy doing laundry the old fashioned way! :)
Cool! So that's how they washed clothes back in the day!
How come you have "LET ME KNOW!" for tags? This video might get more views if you have words like "maytag gyrator wringer washer clothes electric vintage old antique" for tags. Just a suggestion.

Interesting... I have a question. Why did the agitators get so fat and the tubs get so small and cylinder shaped as the years went by?

Oh and it could be a General Electric pump because I can tell by the humming sound.
