  • :D where does i get one of theeeeseee!? I have a tdi beetle, and i want to do something to make it sound beastly!

  • so do you still have the cat on this jetta? That sounds sweet.

  • what size straight pipe is that?

  • 2 3/4

  • We dont have to get emissons in Texas I dont know about other states but I never have a problem with passing state inspections

  • I've recently been informed (VW STEALERSHITTE) that this mod is illegal. PA requires the OEM or DOT approved replacement muffler if the vehicle originally had a muffler....have no fear, a mom & pop inspection station would be more than happy to take my money

  • That poor bug (29 sec) tries to get away and you give him a sulpher shower! Heh, gotta convince my buddy to do this to his TDI jetta. Sounds pretty mean.

  • sorry, for the delayed response, YES this is legal in PA becaise the turbo and resonator are considered mufflers. I cut the exhaust pipe after the resonator and welded on a 2 3/4 straight pipe.

  • is this street legal?

  • hey could you tell me wat exhaust that is?

  • It's a straight pipe- exhaust is cut from the cat, and straight stainless pipe is attached. If you have a TDI, then it's great, if you don't (turbo, cat and engine tone itself lead to those tones) then it'll sound like crap.

  • i got a 2000 Jetta TDI so i cut down to the catback and then straight pipe it?

  • pretty much yes. I cut the pipe AFTER the cat to keep it clean...cough cough...
