why not compare wayne to a better known mc like talib kweli or mos def. I can think of at least 5 other better real mcs who aren't vanilla ice or jedi mind tricks. Even Jay-Z admits lil wayne's lyrics don't have any substance. A lot of the time his raps don't even rhyme. I think he's popular since his current competition is so awful (Soulja Boy?). 10 years ago lil wayne was just sorta popular. I like him better now that he puts more effort out though.
