However, most of the victims had already been killed by that stage, and according to some reports all they managed to do is safeguard the murderers as they escaped from the RPF as their regime collapsed in July.

Im doing the intervention of the international community in the rwandan genocide as my law dissertation. The claims that the UN had insufficient information or lacked adequate equipment is false, there was no oil and after the sudan incident the americans were not prepared to loose more american blood so they let them die and chose not to intervene. Actually they could have prevented the Hutu's from propagating on the radio, but they said it would be too costly to stop it right from the start.

Of all nations that could've changed things before things exploded in April 1994, France is it - they knew in detail many of the things that were happening, but not one of their officials said anything.

Im doing the intervention of the international community in the rwandan genocide as my law dissertation. The claims that the UN had insufficient information or lacked adequate equipment is false, there was no oil and after the sudan incident the americans were not prepared to loose more american blood so they let them die and chose not to intervene. Actually they could have prevented the Hutu's from propagating on the radio, but they said it would be too costly to stop it right from the start.

I just want to point out that your video is factually incorrect. A foreign "relief force", for Rwanda never arrived. The Genocide was stopped, and relief attained, only by the RPF military campaign. So if the Commander of the UN forces was canadian where was the canadian military to back him up? There are plenty of places where genocide happens and the US doesn't rush in to the rescue. The purpose of the US military is national defense and to protect US interests. Now if Osama were based in Rwanda and hiding in a cave there of course the US would have an interest.
