@tiahio I would like to see the Sumitsubo hold my tape measure and attach itself to a sheet of plywood and flooring material, did you watch the Video?? also I checked out that tool it's a chalk line with ink, with a stanley quick spike type end, post a video with the tool being used for me please.
Received this email from a customer to post, he doesn't have you tube account!!
I am a builder and framing contractor. I is not very often that an inexpensive product comes along that actually makes life easier and quicker. I have also started using it in my metal work also. After using it myself I showed it to one of the old timers on my crew and I have to continuously steal it back from him. Doug Lough, Lough const.
This is one of those tools that has all of us slapping ourselves for not thinking of ourselves.
What a great time saver! I received my order of 5 V-Line Clamps last Friday and have already given away 2 of them. I always keep an eye open for tools that can help my crews work faster, more accurately, and more efficiently. The slot for my tape measure us really handy.
Thanks for a very useful addition to the tool belt!
@curbshoppin thanks for the post, It's great to see that thee are some positive minded people out there on you tube, check out other Video under vlineguy
@vlineguy im a one guy do it yer selfer...i drive a brown delivery truck for a living ......im no construction dude....... these videos give me great ideas and anything that makes it easy for me to understand i enjoy great stuuf here....thanks
V-Lines were featured on Cool tools and have a 100% approval rating, line friendly and accurate! you can use it on all types of material including soffit , hardi board,3/4 inch plywood, dense glass, siding, the use of line guides makes it line friendly ,
I like it. You will always find those who think there way is the right way. I have been a carpenter for twenty five years and I have had a lot of guys frame for me. If I learned anything, there are as many ways to do it as there are carpeters to do it. There is a big difference between a framer and a carpenter
Better idea even yet............redesign the hook to work at angles, I cant stand having to walk back around the sheet to pull a nail or unhook the line, it just consumes too much time. Old man would make me get the jobsite gomer to carry the sheets from me/cut guy to roof guys and said if you cant keep that gomer busy trying to keep up, your not cutting fast enough.
I can send you an easy equation I have come up with so that you dont have any human error on getting your "magic number" Find the pitch, and I can give you the magic # example 7/12 is 42 1/4, it also works on dual pitches, it just comes up with 2 numbers for that, one for the steeper side, and one for the flatter side. You can use this to cut ahead of the crew, staggering your next row 48" or however you do it. The math just helps to save time, never have to get 2 #'s again.
V-Lines are made in America , can be used on plywwod stack or saw horses, holds tape measure , will work on any angle. invented by a carpenter with 30 years experience, go to vline clamp website for more pics and uses, and comment's from real carpenter's all over the USA,, works on soffit material and cement board. work smart, .
waste of time. just use your pencil and a straight piece of 2x4. canubelieve is right its a roof deck. It must take you guys forever to build your perfect house.
Hi I put up a lot of Plasterboard in France and after seeing this video had to buy one. This tool is that extra pair of hands that I often need, and unlike using a straight edge and pencil it wlli not move have way across the sheet whilst you are marking it.
Do that or quickly chisel a notch...I cut off a stack, easiest way is to drive an 8 penny into the sheet beneath your work to hook the chalk line...If it is crucial to have your snap line clear to the edge of the board I recommend you go home and practice cutting. Remember it is a roof deck, not a curio cabinet.
this tool is for sale on ebay under nail guns staple guns or just click on the link's, be the first to get this tool in your crew, your town, limited amount made
hi there,im a carpenter in bonnie scotland, land of haggis and kilts, and yes we do cut wood now and then, its not all rabbie burns and whisky....anyhoo,your invention is very clever and innovative.I hope youve got worldwide patent protection on it.and finally I would be more than happy to show off your product over this side of the pond.
Sorry no dealer there yet but you can look at the top comment on how to find them If you order I would send you an extra one for free just promise to show your friends and spread the word you will be the third person in your State to get it no pressure though
That is a nice tool. I wish I had it when I was framing everyday. Where is your ear protection? I have lost lots of my hearing in my right ear because of working without protection around those screeching circular saws for over 20 years.

Hi Al,what a tool,such a simple design,but so effective,this is an accurate strong clamp.
This tool is a must &once you have used it you will not go back to the old methods, this tool limits down time,it's there when you need it,
also this tool won't answer you back , won't walk off, & won't go sick.
