I think it's rubbish, and mine goes straight back to the shop today.

When you move fast it elongates objects in it's view, and can't adjust between different light levels well.

ok for the pool maybe, but try rock climbing or water sports with it, and prepare for disappointment.

I just ordered TWO from Amazon...one for my helmet and one for the frame of my hang glider. I also do kayaking and snorkeling in the local lakes. Too bad i did not have it when I found such 'treasures' as: the head of a gold club; a lawn chair; a red sweater; and a tackle box!

Has anyone tried an SD card larger than 2GB in one of these cameras?

I haven't tried yet, but with a 2 GB SD card, I get about one hour of 30 fps, VGA video (which is more than enough to sort through for me!).

Did the you tube compression cause the squaring effect on the video (large pixels). I have seen this in most ACT2 vids on here and it's sort of a bummer for me.

when you edited this did you use a mac or pc because the only thing keeping me from buying this is whether it works with my mac or not.

Yep - it writes an .avi file on the SD card that can be directly edited on my Mac (when I edited this video I was using a PowerBook G4 2 and iMovie 06).

I've used it several times underwater. I've never gone deeper that eight feet, so I can't assess what happens if you go deeper. But it has worked fine both in the pool and at the lake.

The only problem I've had is when after the camera has been underwater and I bring it above the surface, a little bit of water accumulates under the lens and distorts the image a bit.

I guess it depends on how 'clean' the water is. I usually shake the water off and it looks OK, but there still might be a little residue from the water.
