  • 1.21 giggawatts

  • do u know where we get the cheapest macbook air in india?

  • di i hear a fart at 2:26?

  • does macbook air 15 inch and macbook air 11 inch cost the same?

    i need to know

  • @crackedpsp

Theres no Macbook Air 15 inch. Its 11 inches or 13 inches.

  • @crackedpsp there is no 15 inch air, and even if there was, how could it be the same? they are 2 inches apart.

  • i want to buy a macbook air 11.6 inch in cheap price in dubai, so from where should i buy a macbook 11.6 air?

    please tell me.

  • I'm extremely happy that you agree that iPads are in fact computers. The base price for an iPad 2 with the amount of content available for it is a steal for a light weight yet extremely powerful and versatile computer. Nothing is comparable not even that machine in terms of power. At this time that MacBook Air you just reviewed is the same speed as my 5 year old MacBook Pro. So no way am I buying what is essentially the same machine twice, and the amount of available content for iPad is greater.

  • @mekman4 wait are you tring to say ipads are cheap if so you are wrong also you can't type on them.

  • I love my MacBook Air.

  • 5:46

    ORGASM??

  • swag

  • ill likely get a macbook air if its runs a quadcore sandy bridge or the next gen intels low voltage cpus

  • @virginboy92 It already does? :S

  • i hate pre-built pcs they give you all the crap trial software etc, i build my own pc with windows and install the software i want ONLY

  • Nice info,I considered purchasing a mac book air but I don't have a ipod or iphone, itunes, not even an iPad. So i'm afraid "buy one buy them ALL" including the air printer!! I'm happy with my android phone, mismatched computer and laptop for now.. but I knw its time upgrade all! THANKS AGAIN!

  • " ... thing's GIGANTIC ..." though I agree, I carry around an HP Pavillion dv7 laptop with a 17.6" display wherever I go, even though I have a MacBook Air. I just like power, but oddly enough I use my MacBook Air than my Pavillion beast. Something's not right ...

  • No I wouldn't get an air. I love my 2010 Mac pro desktop... I couldn't use a small 64gig HD With 2 - 3 programs alone I would use 90% of that.

  • @TekTut0rials yea a 2008 mac pro hackintosh .

  • @TheVidalis Lol I have a hackintosh I don't use that. I have a 2010 Mac Pro. From best buy lol.

  • @TekTut0rials You know you just compared two different machines. It's like you're trying to compare a Nissan Sentra to a GTR...

  • @MuzicalEagle No actually I was voicing an opinion I said I would rather have my Mac pro 2010 edition apposed to having a macbook air because of the power difference.

  • @TekTut0rials Well I mean obviously you would take a Mac Pro over a MBA if money wasn't a problem. I mean who wouldn't!!! lol

  • @MuzicalEagle Alot of people maybe someone would get the macbook pro it's more powerful then the MBA and can run Final cut/Adobe CS5 and alot of things more then the MBA and still powerful.

  • It seems like he was frustrated at the fact it had to boot up, when Macbook Airs have to boot up too and they don't it won't be as quick as just waking it up from sleep when putting the top down, so when he said " Look at this" it was making the Macbook Air look unfairly faster than the Acer and the Macbook is using an SSD which gives it an advantage. Not a bad video but just pointing out these things i noticed that i didn't agree with.

  • But in the comparison between the Netbook and the Air i agree with because i seriously think Netbooks are wack and think Ultrabooks will make them obsolete.

  • Maybe I should quit my corporate job and become a "Youtuber". Maybe then I will be able to afford a Mac Book Air, Pro, or whatever. Please post hateful responses to 2>&1 /dev/null

  • well mate. I've been watching your reviews for few months now. and I think this is the worse in the whole YouTube.

  • Comment removed

  • @kwidzius this isn't a review, dumbshit

  • @kwidzius did anyone said its review? more and more idiots poping up in this world

  • Get a zenbook from ASUS.

  • @OutlawLovesNewVegas more expensive than Air.

  • The macbook air not having a disk drive is really not an issue I think! If I think of the amount of times I have ever used the disk drive on my macbook pro in the time I have owned it (about 2 years) is probably not above 10!

  • I'm getting the 11 inch😄

  • I would get an air if it was 150 off

  • @walkinginfantry go onto Apple's online store, scroll down, and on the bottom left there is a "refurbished macs" link, you can select certified refurbished macs for a sharp discount, including the Macbook Air for $150 less. You're welcome :)

  • I think the macbook air should be a bit thicker and should have a disk drive

  • 5:47 epic .. hahaha i <3 u dude ..

  • When is Siri coming to OS X? anyone???

  • for the price of a current macbook air you can buy a much more powerful pc laptop. a dell xps 15 L502. SSD is too expensiv e at this time so standard harddrives are still better. What i've noticed with apple products is that is looks geat and feels solid in the hands, but when dropped it tends to break and become useless.

  • Have a 13 inch 4gb macbook air 2011 and love it!

  • well im selling my Dell XPS for a macbook air! win for me! lose for all those faggs that "hate" apple!

  • I'm getting the 13" Air for Christmas =)

  • This is one of the apple products that i would be willing to pay my money for. I am a hard core PC user and it will continue to be one for a long time. But, I need to get a portable device, and the macbook air is the best ultra portable there is.

  • mmmmmm i dont know if i should get it or not.what do u think.its eithier and 5 year old computer that works good but not portable or a not so fast but kinda fast and portable.please reply,it would really help.

  • I want a Mac so bad. As a young artist it would assist my career because they have fantastic software for artists. My only problem is that Macs are WAY out of my price range. Im stuck with a piece of crap Acer pc and i hate it.

  • @stanhil1 Have you considered a hackintosh? Feel free to PM me and i will help you. Oh, and the Mac mini is very cheap. Is that out of your price range? (I have the new mac mini i5 2.3ghz)

  • Get a asus 1215b.

It's faster and cheaper and similar screen size.

  • Wow 50 dislike means 50 jealous cunts

  • @7NEWMIchaEL yeah.sure no scam..all ya have to do is BUY crap from random places that are just as con artistic like Columbia house... jesus..3$%kin christ don't you ad trolls have anything better to do? piss off.

  • You should have waited 3 more months for the new one ;) cause I did.

  • wohoooo

    super Geek ,

look at his head omygod! i feel sorry for ya

  • The problems with the MacBook Air...

outdated, slow CPU (from 2008! but the flash memory helps it be faster)

no more backlit keyboard (one of the coolest features of the previous one was the backlit-keyboard!)

TERRIBLE speaker quality. Don't expect to be playing any music on it, really tinny.

Bad viewing angles on screen, some color banding

  • @sonic3243 ddude, the new one has a backlit keyboard, and a i5 processor that is very current. lol

  • @masterlocke100 I wrote that comment JUST before the launch of Lion and the new MacBook Air.

And still, it's not very fast. The Intel graphics kill video editing and gaming. Other than that, I love the new MacBook Air!

  • @sonic3243 true, true. but if you want a hardcore gaming/ video editing machine, you probably shouldn't be looking at the air anyways.

  • @masterlocke100 yes, you're right. However, Apple markets this as a product fast enough to do those things, which it's not.

It needs the previous nVidia 320m chipset for gaming and multimedia purposes. Or, an AMD graphics chipset.

  • @sonic3243 yeah i agree. the integrated graphics probably isnt very good.

  • @masterlocke100 don't expect to play Crysis at high, but at low or medium you can achieve 30 fps to 40 fps.

  • you said you got in for 850$, how?

  • @cricket1678 also thus no need for an optical drive. I NEVER use an optical disk that comes with : a video card, sound card, ethernet pci express card, or any input device nor printer. 99% of the time there is a more update driver and the website will always have the software suite. Hp, canon, Epson have all been good for that. nvidia, ati ( now amd) as well. cheers.

  • @cricket1678 happy to read you found your disk. and Honestly sorry to be argumentative. but you're wrong.I JUST looked at the hp website and when you click on drivers and software and allows you the option for MOST of their deskjet/inkjet and laser printers to download only the driver..or the "full feature software and drivers" I've owned 3 different Hp printers in my time and it's always been that way. They always include the Hp solution center ( when they began it) product assistance. etc

  • @cricket1678 why would it need a disk drive if you're hooking the macbook air up to a printer? Just curious do you not have internet access? do you not know how to visit the printers' manufacturer website online to download the latest most up to date software and drivers for the printer?. I'm being sincere. I dont know the level of your pc tech device knowledge and there are plenty of people that still don't know how to do these simple things. No insult meant. Am I missing something here?

  • Can you get snow leopard and iLife on MacBook air

  • @athan4australia snow leopard and iLife BOTH come included and already installed on the Macbook air. and later this month you'll have the option of paying 29.99 for an easy upgrade to Mac osx Lion ( which i HIIIIIIGHLY recommend). cheers. I think they still charge 5 dollars or bucks or whatever the currency is in Australia for Garageband though. cheers

  • @athan4australia

yes obviously it is a mac there is no other apple operating system for macs just ios which you guessed it is for iphon, ipod touch, and ipad. and you can download most of apples programs through the mac app store or through their online store. also they have the super drive(or whatever its called) so you can use disks. its the best laptop i have owned.

  • I finally gathered the money for the 128gb 11.6 inch

  • Im waiting for the next air

  • Usually when geeks see the processor in the machine, it scares them away. But the truth is, the SSD that comes standard makes it freaking epic! Not like iMac or Alienware epic, of course, but for a machine that small.....DANG!

  • it is a nice machine, however, this video you made sucks... you shouldn't compare the macbook air to some cheap netbook or super heavy old old old old old laptop.

  • I'm getting an Air when I have money for it.

  • I personally can't wait until apple can make a macbook air 13 or 14 incher that has full 1920 x 1080 resolution widescreen AND INCLUDE A FREAKIN BACKLIT KEYBOARD lol like the macbook pro has had for a while.

  • I want the '11 version, but I already have an iPad so it makes it to (me) not the best choice; instead I'm going for the '13 version since it have more screen real estate, but yet, keeps a very portable factor. But I do love the '11 version bc of it's size, but also, I feel like it haves a little to small screen. I don't know! so... that's why I'll just keep it safe when is time to pick one up in July and choose the '13 version. I'm sure I'll be very happy with it.

  • @icoopers yeap trust and the 13 inch version ( or 13.3. i keep forgetting if the 2011 version has .3 extra inches or not) also supposedly has around 2 more hours of battery life. that's the one i am getting as well but i am trying to wait until they may release a newer version of the air maybe next year. not sure..either way.can't wait to hit safari with the Lion. cheers

  • @chronofusion The next refresh MBA is rumored to be now in July, Will have sandy bridge chips, thunderbolt along with Lion and who knows what else. Can't wait!

  • Acerbic aspire 5742

  • not that anyone is ever going to install from a DVD ever again thanks to the new app store

..which is what i wanted to ask you about: predictions for what you think will replace the space in apple mobile devices currently occupied by DVD drives?

my guess is the first 24-hour battery in a laptop

    what do you think?

  • just kidding Chris,

I totally agree - when the Air was unveiled, I was like who the hell is this for? Who could possibly care about the size and shape when there's processing power vrs price ratios at stake

but it's after 3 years of carrying a white Macbook round with me and it's gone full circle - the 13 inch Air is the same price for less money (I think)

and I say remove the disk drives from all apple machines - they do that USB disk drive which can be shared with all of them (cont. on p2)

  • Didn't you invent Facebook?

  • remember, macbook 11 and macbook 13 have screen coming close to the Ratine Iphone 2 screen and displaying pictures and video on a great way. Samsung 9 series is 1400 euro´s at this moment with better specs. Okay, but not that retina 999 euro posibility. So, I get my Macbook 11` tomorrow anyway. (Iphone 2 is to hard to handle for us, onscreen keyboar, useless

  • Yes i got my free macbook from hazusa dot com

  • analogy fail

  • the nvidia 320 gpu can run crysis 2, dragon age: origins, nfs shift and borderlands in bootcamp just fine.

i was planning on selling my macbook air because office 11 runs slow on snow leopard but after using bootcamp and being able to play all the games and running things generally quicker on bootcamp/windows, i have decided to keep it :)

its really a tiny beast. i can even run win7 in parallels and run heavy software used for work. it has saved the day more than once.

  • He's wrong that there are "no moving parts in the entire machine". The Macbook Air has a fan, and when it's on for games, lengthy YouTube streaming, etc, trust me- you hear it and you will know there are moving parts. It CAN get loud- I have the 11.6 inch myself.

  • @hounddoggy7 lolz, that's just a cpu fan. other than the fan, there is NO moving parts.

  • @lte880305 No shit, Sherlock, but it is NOT accurate to say "no moving parts". I can hear the fan often- especially when streaming Netflix fullscreen, etc. For certain tasks, it revs up so much that it sounds like a vacuum. I LOVE my Air, but there's no need to sugar-coat basic facts.

  • @lte880305 The iPad truly has "no moving parts". That would be an accurate claim- there are no fans in the iPad.

  • why are people complaining about the fact that there is no disk drive? how in the freaking heck can you fit an optical drive into something that thin and small?

  • I really like your comment! it was fun to watch!

I am a fan of Apple products, right now I am trying to see if I should buy an Ipad or an Macbook air first, I will eventually have both, but right now I can't afford both at the same time.... I sold my sony reader so I would need an Ipad to read my books, but also I will start my new job as a teacher an a macbook air would be great and more useful than an ipad.... still thinking!

  • Ouch! 11:05

  • macbook air ftw

  • When I travel, it's for a holiday and when I go on a holiday why waste your time on the computer?

I love my MacBook Pro, it's the best computer I have ever bought...I do not travel enough to need an Air, for me it would really just be a waste of money....it's a good machine, just not for me...

  • 1 of the Reasons PCs are cheaper than Macs is because Third-Partys pay company like Dell and HP to install Shit-Ware. I have a POS $800 HP that was Defective when I bought it. There was over 40GB already taken up on the 320GB HDD. How many Gigs is Win 7 again?

  • @TheSecretCobra honeslty it depends on WHICH VERSION of win7 you have. if it's win 7 pro 64 bit. STOCK WITHOUT updates..it's 16 gigs. i uninstalled EVERYTING else on my gaming machine INCLUDING the gpu drivers and software running everythinb bare bons JUST to see how much the updates would tak eup. the o.s. plus all udpates as of today including the ones for Windows defender make it take up 21 gigs so far that also includes downloading everything needed to run Xp mode. cheers.

  • @TheSecretCobra if it is win 7home premium ( 32 or 64 ..it doesnt matter which) it starts stock at around 12 or 14 gigs i think..( i forgot because it's been so long since i reinstalled that o.s. on my mother's work pc i built for her around may 2010. hope this helps.

  • YES iPad, Iphone, iPod etc are computer (computer is basically a thing thats on or off) would you prefer an Air for a macbook pro for work/school?

  • @armandornd tahk yuo dat was vrey helllpfull XDDD

  • @zabakkabou Learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation right before you send somebody a comment.

  • @armandornd blah blah blah there is no correct way to use grammer...see you could still undersand me so who the fuck cares....you picky homo.......

  • @zabakkabou Learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation right before you send somebody a comment.

  • @armandornd huh who gives a shit anyways

  • @zabakkabou Learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation right before you send send somebody a comment.

  • @armandornd u are lame....tell me something different :D

  • @zabakkabou Learn how to use correct grammar and punctuation right before you send somebody a comment.

  • @armandornd i like how we waste each others time...i wonder for how long the shit will continue XD

  • @zabakkabou as much as I don't care about grammar on the internet, I must take issue with your statement, there is one way to use grammar.

  • @eightbitheros lol sure....

  • SALUDOS DESDE PERU ......

  • @perisville i have a macbook 15 inch too im not a fanoy

  • eh..EVERY since windows laptop i have EVER seen has nothing but BLOATWARE..useless crap that takes up space. I'd rather custom built my laptop. to each his own.

  • At the end you sounded like a news anchor.

  • Can it play starcraft 2

  • @murdercom998 it can play starcraft 2. If you prefer to keep it above 45 fps most of the time and playing the game at the native rez of 1366x768 resolution, you'll need to set it on all medium and few low eye candy. that pretty much guarantees you'll have 50 ish fps and during heavy fighting it will dip to 35 to 40 realistically. I wont lie. I prefer to play scII on my custom built gaming desktop win 7 pro 64 bit machine. gtx 580 :D. but for what you can dowith it macbook air rocks.cheers

  • @murdercom998 Yes....

  • @pcmadeeasyvideos the Air. It's very fast and portable. Win win.

  • Got the 2011 13 inch MBP for school. Best choice I ever made. I never have to run around school and the lib looking for a power outlet compared to my friends Dell lol.

  • @chrispirillio Got a MacBook pro instead was 300 cheeper then the MacBook air.

  • £867 LMFAO I can do basic things with my £200 netbook THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

  • It's great to hear that its being called an Experience not its all about the software or its the hardware that makes an Apple product great. I like PC's but I appreciate Apple products because the amount of craftsmanship put into the hardware, the software and the overall experience of the ownership of one of there machines. No i am not interested in buying an Air for say, but a iMac or an MBP i would buy again any day.

  • I feel like I'm watching QVC right now

  • I love the macbook air. What I don't love is its price. I don't earn too much, so I must look somewhere else.

  • Got it :) Best laptop ever :)

  • I had the original Macbook Air when it was released back in 2008, sold it for the iPad in 2010. Wanted to get an iPad 2, but had some trouble hunting one down. After many days of thinking, I decided that a Macbook Air would be a better purchase for me at this point in time. Went into an Apple store to purchase one, and boy was I blown away. This new 11" model is leaps and bounds better in just about every aspect compared to the original Macbook Air 13". I've been very happy with my purchase =)

  • Nah, it's more like

Complaining that the MacBook Air doesn't have a Disk Drive is like complaining that a Netbook doesn't have a Disk Drive.

And I'm not a fan of Apple products other than the iPod. But it's funny to hear the specs on a Macbook being cheaper than a friggin' Netbook PC.

  • @lockergnome . you kept mentioning the competitor for this computer being more money.. please do tell what it is. because the only competitor i can think of is the alienware m11x. and it blows this thing out of the water and its cheaper

  • nice video i think the air will be my next apple product i get

  • Wow! What a fanboi!

  • You could also install a Linux distro on the netbook to make it faster...

  • @JeffTheComputerGeek Totally agree with you there, my Asus Eee PC is running Ubuntu and it runs almost as fast as my friends macbook air (the ony thing that gives the air the advantage is the SSD)

  • @Magical0Hobo0 Yep, Linux rocks. Right now my Asus EEE 900 Netbook is running a Debian Netinstall with OpenBox installed and it's blazing fast! My EEE also has a SSD but it's a slower SSD.

  • I can't wait until Google's ChromeOS comes out. Computers with this OS will have about the same use, but a lot cheaper.

  • 00:43 ... thats what she said... R R R OUT! :P

  • /watch?v=jfuXNWgT76k&feature=channel_video_title

^constructive critisism would be helpful if anyone has time to check out my first video

  • I've been wanting to buy a mac for college, but I can't decide to buy a macbook air or a 13 inch macbook pro. Which one is better for college?

  • @PCMadeEasyVideos PRO lol

  • @PCMadeEasyVideos macbook pro. macbook air is basically a netbook. it's not designed for a desktop replacement.

a macbook pro would be good for college assignements because its got decent memory and a very powerful processor.

  • @ScreamingForBlood thanks!

  • @PCMadeEasyVideos no probs! :)

  • you could spend that $150 to buy a freaking tripod

  • Steve Jobs would be hugging you right now..

  • I like air :)

  • Huge difference? I woulnd'y say so, considering the mac air does not have a hard drive, therefore does not need a 2.5" 'space' for the hard drive to go. If PC's chose the same design as the mac air, PC's could easily become as thing as a Mac Air is,

  • mac os is very lightweight compared with windows, generally the windows experiance is rather worse on a mac than a windows machine,

  • @dwoodsky I second that. Windows on a Mac is nothing like Windows on a PC made for windows. On the other hand, OS X on a PC is much, much more fluid.

  • @iRiselyTech exactly!

  • *Bi-OSexual FTW!!! Awesomeness

  • Man its acer, you actually expect it to run windows without trouble!?

only brands like IBM, Toshiba , Hewlett Packard and Alien-ware will offer you a good computing experience.

Sony VAIO do produce good computers but they tend to break.

And with many experiences with the APPLE magnetic power cable they have such a big flaw because the slightest tug , the cable falls out and many a time my laptop has hibernated because the power cable has come out!.

  • @ox141jf you forgot lenovo

  • @ox141jf My Acer runs windows, and OS X without trouble. Problem?

  • @iRiselyTech i haven't a problem with the OS but the hardware itself is poorly designed, when new its good but leave it a few moths a many problems occur.

Acer to apple or IBM in a way is the equivalent of Nissan to Rolls Royce , it works great when new but isn't that desirable, will break down much more quickly and is a copy of other cars AKA degenerate

  • @ox141jf I partly agree and partly disagree. Mainly, because most hardware that goes into Apple Computers, and "Made by Apple", meaning, mainly Samsung create such a motherboard, and Apple put their name on it. I know Samsung do not make motherboards, but my argument is, most hardware is equivalent to a PC. Hard drives (including SSD storage) in todays macintosh computers are made by a third party company, and Apple don't even put their name on it.

  • @iRiselyTech yes thats true , apple doesn't exclusively produce their own hardware however its designed by their specifications and their software is custom designed for the hardware and the hardware vendors i quoted before also work with Microsoft whereas ACER just builds the hardware to a stated Microsoft compatible spec.

  • @ox141jf I see your point. Apple put, more thought into producing. It seems, companies compare closely to a math class. PC vendors are those children that get bored and start throwing pens or leave. Apple were those children that stayed. My point; Apple put more thought into products whereas PC manufacturers don't. I reckon if a PC manufacturer put as much thought into a new laptop as Apple does, it would far outsell a mac.

  • @iRiselyTech i agree exactly and first point clearly highlights this, many vendors do not pay attention and leave but the few that i stated , tend to put much more though into their products and yes you get lots of free software trials bundled but that brings down the price and what is a few free programs, they take but minuted to remove.

Mac puts down windows because of this but in a way they are causing their own demise by charging 3 times the price for the same spec mac as PC

  • I'm currently using the first version of the aluminum iMac. Would the Macbook air be a good choice for college since it doesn't take a huge load on me or would I be better off with a Macbook Pro?

  • apple sucks

  • and Chris, how did you get this at 850.00 ? apple website says 1 grand

  • @chronofusion He got a deal on it through Macsales. You can get a refurbished MacBook Air for $850 on Apple's Online Store.

  • Pirillo, Your volume level is PERFECT man. and congrads on the Sushi dinner instructional thingy/date. she is definitely delightful, allegant, and may be your type bro. cheers.

  • @chronofusion Did Chris break up with his wife?

  • @iRiselyTech I think so..I've read numberous people on the live chat forum weeks or m onth's ago mentioned their divorce.

  • Chris....sometimes I am a tough critic of you, but this was an EXCELLENT review. I wish more people did reviews like this. Nice job!!!

  • Sad to say the only working pc I have is a Netbook. 1.6gh, adem procure, 1gig mem. its not tamable slow but it's jest ie that's slow as hell I don't use it I use chrome. sd,usb, vga the standard

  • Damn.. I was really considering buying one.. then he said 850 dollars... Damn.. I just can't afford it.. The Air is nice and is better then a netbook but its not 500 dollars better.. maybe 300 =D

  • I got the 11, h
