  • They're the symbol used on Japanese maps to represent a Buddhist temple, which is where some of the lore in Touhou games is based off of.

    Yes i know that its a buddhist symbol. I looked it up when i found a little figure of a buddha with a backwards swastika on his chest, which kinda freaked me out.
