His leg is retarded because the hex data animation does not corespond with Mario's hex data. In other words, the code only turns marios model into yoshi without the correct animation hex.

Well there are several alternatives to Hypercam, such as CamStudio or Virtual Dub. Don't know if this is what OtakuPro was alluding to - the possibility of using Free Software instead of proprietary. Could have been a little more helpful.
