My comment, with tongue placed firmly in cheek, pointed out how is it funny how Cenk of this video ("past Cenk") might be shocked with todays Cenk's (or "future Cenk") view of the Obama white house and policies
So now that you have maybe gained some perspective on the nature of that comment, where it stems from, you can see that I wasn't critiquing anyone, but pointing out playfully and absurdly how opinions on President Obama have shifted so dramatically since his initial election and the first few "honeymoon months" that followed.

Given the awkward tense I was writing in (don't have the name for it, but talking to a charachter in the past in reference to that same character's future thoughts) I'm pretty sure that grammar was nearly flawless. I'll give you that maybe I should have replaced "Future you" with "Future Cenk" to make it more clear as to what I am referring. But to question my English fluency is absurd!

Obama gets credit for killing Bin Laden for the same reason as Bush gets Blame for Sept 11th and the disaster in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, it happened on his watch, Bush did a lousy job of counter terrorism and an attack got through on his watch, he also screwed up FEMA to the point where they were inept and people died in New Orleans as a result, Bush gets the blame. I agree that lack of insurance carries a social toll, and ends up raising premiums on those with insurance (since emergency stays end up driving up costs). @Raptor302 The intelligence of where Bin Laden lived was found under Bush's watch. So Bush does deserve some credit for killing Bin Laden, so does Obama, the CIA and of course Navy Seal Team 6. Mainly the CIA and Navy Seal Team 6 for doing all the work, presidents just give the orders.

The military and intel officers did their job, but after turning down an offer by the Taliban in Oct 2001 for handing him over and letting him escape in Tora Bora, Bush officially closed the CIA tasking unit for searching for him in 2005, saying that Bin Laden was not his top priority. It's obvious to even the most generous observer that the man put far more effort into going after Saddam than Bin Laden.

It took 45 mins to get a response from Washington, by then the drone had drifted out of the satellite uplink foot print and followed its preprogramed instructions to return to base.

In any case, the fact remains that Bush quickly lost interest in Osama and instead turned his attention to Saddam. He was on camera only a few months later saying he didn't know (or really care from the looks of it) where Osama was and he cancelled the search for him in 2005.
Conservatives seem to conveniently forget that in a crisis like this, the US Military can't move until they get the 'go' order from the President. Obama made a good call, props to the US Military for a 5-Star performance, and cudos to the brave captain of that vessel and his sailors; I'm glad everyone made it home safe to their families.

Given the awkward tense I was writing in (don't have the name for it, but talking to a charachter in the past in reference to that same character's future thoughts) I'm pretty sure that grammar was nearly flawless. The military and intel officers did their job, but after turning down an offer by the Taliban in Oct 2001 for handing him over and letting him escape in Tora Bora, Bush officially closed the CIA tasking unit for searching for him in 2005, saying that Bin Laden was not his top priority. @Raptor302 You described a drone that "had him". The document you sent me speaks of all of the uncertainty as to weatheer he was vaporized in a cave, or escorted to safety by afghan civilians. We have the best idea of how he escaped from captured fighters interviewed after the fact. They could have possibkly got him at Tora Bora, but you said Bush let him escape, not the commanders on scene. Next time read a document before sending it. Also, psychological transference is pathetic.seek help.

@trueleroix I didn't give you the document to cite the drone indident, merely as a rebuttal to your original snear. In any case, the fact remains that Bush quickly lost interest in Osama and instead turned his attention to Saddam. He was on camera only a few months later saying he didn't know (or really care from the looks of it) where Osama was and he cancelled the search for him in 2005.

Conservatives seem to conveniently forget that in a crisis like this, the US Military can't move until they get the 'go' order from the President. Obama made a good call, props to the US Military for a 5-Star performance, and cudos to the brave captain of that vessel and his sailors; I'm glad everyone made it home safe to their families.

@DJDav16----before we start I want to point out that I am an Independant as well, but you are wrong about this. hanity is correct, there is a standing order to use force against pirates holding an American hostage. so why was obama and his people running to take credit for something that is a standing order? instead of giveing credit to the actual people who saved the captian and the captian himself obama creddited himself and his people. thats what hannity's point was.

This is something I've been saying since Obama got elected. They did it with Libya too. FTWnessi, I agree Obama has done so much for this country. Obama tripled the Deficit. He created a army of Czars that slowly are controlling every part of are life. The internet neutrality law is the newest example. His lack of leadership showed when he had to hide behind Clinton to sell his tax bill.
