I think this is a great story about a man who wants to make something better for himself.

It seems often that when someone has high apirations or a need of something more than complacency others around them treat them as if it is hopeless.

At least that's what I took from it.

Very touching though maybe too dark. I understand the mood you were trying to set with lighting but I feel it may have been just a touch too dim at points.

Overall very good.
