  • Lookiing at a tits 308gtsi later this fall....but doing the research first..will maybe put a few hundred easy miles on it a year...(couple trips to Moneterey and Carmel for a couple of shows, adn I am an easy driver, it's the journey, as well as the destination...how is maintenance on these guys if you baby them?? What do standard sevices cost if I do one every spring..I'm a wrencher, but I'll stick to my boat...

  • @Amtrakeng If you're a first time ferrari owner...this model is popular for first timers...it is the "cheapest" ferrari to maintain and is one model that is going up in price. The price difference between the 308 and the 355 is anywhere between $5k to $10k. Any car that you baby it and maintain it regularly will last you forever. The timing belt on this car is about $2500 and its done about every 60K miles...

  • @jurgen4life If I remember correctly it is every 30K miles or every 5 years to change the belts and it can be done really cheap.

  • @Amtrakeng ....the most important thing is to make sure the car gets driven to keep all mechanical parts lubricated and running and electrical system functioning...my water pump locked up on me cause it never gets driven :( so now its time to get the engine rebuilt to fix all the leaks and get the engine purring again and that's a $6k to $7k job...Just keep up with the regular maintenance and engine running and it will last you a while a the cost will be minimum.

  • are you tom cruise :-)

  • Your 308 is gorgeous, I have gone and bought the 308gt4 to begin with to get me started with a first ferrari (same engine 3 v8) and absolutely love it, not sure what to go for next time "yet" but the f355 sounds like a lot of fun, for the meantime though I am enjoying the 308, great to see others doing the same, enjoy your cars, take care

  • For a car from the 1980's, it sure looks stylish even now. Ageless these Ferrraris. I have always wanted one since Magnum PI but your maintance comments may deter me for now. Maybe for my 35th Bday in a couple years.

  • In the contrary! This car especially isn't as expensive as other ferraris. Every ferrari owner that you speak to, will tell you that the best ferrari to start with (which everyone has) is the 308. Best to find one in good conditions with ALL the service records in hand!..and you will less likely spend alot of money into it than buying one in fair (cheap) conditions. This car isn't a daily driver like other ferraris but a good 2k miles a year will do and one of most stylish Ferrari ever made

  • @jurgen4life darn, if i had one i would want to drive it everyday

  • @jurgen4life Yeh but my fav ferrari is the f355 SOUND!!!

  • @1usc2 these ferraris actually look like something special, unlike the modern ugly ferraris that just blend in with chrysler intrepids and futuristic ugly porsche UFO's

  • @SeeProfileForDetails And what Ferrari blends with an intrepid exactly? And Porsches are far from futuristic. They have had the same body style since the 60s. Whether Porsche fans want to admit it or not, its still styled to look like a fuckin bug.

  • how fast is it 0 to 60 mph? i would imagine it to be slow considering the age of the vechile.

  • it is....it only has 240hp....once you step on the gas and get the rpm's up then it does go fast but i would guess around 5 secs...never timed it but i would think online specs would say. The carburator version came with 285hp, mine is fuel injection.

  • @jurgen4life 5 secs is pretty fast.. probably more like 6.5

  • @1usc2 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB 8.2 seconds, 1980 Ferrari 308 GTS 6.9 seconds

  • The 308 Ferrari is one the prettiest sportscars made. I've ridden in one and it's a blast!

  • It is one of the most gorgeous cars ever made...everyone recognizes it even 4 year olds but it ain't fast. I have a 348 challenge and that one is a blast to drive!! fast, loud and beautiful handling!!!!

  • I've been looking for a nice Ferrari 348 ts either in black or red. Out here in Salt Lake they go for $30-44,000 used and with low miles.

  • I used to have 2...a 348 ts and a 348 Challenge. Beautiful car but keep in mind the timing belt adjustment. For the 348 challenge it was every 10,000 miles and it was $12,000 to do it. Reaserch it alot before u purchase it :)

  • @jurgen4life 12,000 dollars to adjust the timing belt. Fricking Laughing Out Loud. Why can't people buy a tensioner tool, fricking laughing out loud.

  • I was at Steve Harris yesterday and they have two in stock, a spider and a ts. The spider is black on black. The ts is neither red or black.

  • Ya I own a H2 HUMMER and a PORSCHE 928 both really cool but I think my next car is going to be a Ferrari.

  • nice! which Ferrari were u thinking of?

  • Some dumbass had a problem with owning these cars...and had no idea what he was talking about..

  • Wow I love your ferrari 308 it is one of my favorite ferrari's I wish I could own one like you.

  • The 308 is now one of the most collectible Ferraris...they are going up in price tremendously. They are now as much as an early F355. Beautiful lines. You can find one in good conditions for about $35K to $40K

  • They're only about $30K. Cheaper than your modern loaded american car. All you need to set aside is about $10K a year for maintenance.

  • Beautiful car, my friend. Art in motion.

  • Thank you my friend! It is nice to hear that some people appreciate other people's hard work! This other guy was a real hater and incredibly envious! you should of read what he said earlier, what a joke he was!

You are welcome to attend any of our car shows this summer!
