  • Veeery rare indeed, thank you

  • where can i found to get this song?

  • this is rare

  • rod steward(y) hair!!!

  • it's a piece called: Oh Boy those stockings!

  • anybody know the name of this song? composition or classical piece?

  • o cara é bom demais.. nao adianta.. quem nao gosta.. dele só pode ter inveja.. nao tem como nao gostar.. né cara.. quem é músico mesmo.

  • This video was in the mid 80's , you kind of wonder what he sounds like now 2011. I met this angel like person in San Marcos, Tx. ,to his surprise people cheered when he looked over his equipment before the show started. He just smiled and waved at the crowd. A true musician .

  • For those of you who have forgotten...

This is what talent looks and sounds like.

  • is this a piece he made? or a classical piece? if so whats the name?

  • Eric is great !! Hes so relaxed and he plays a lot of styles all with his own style, you can always recognise his music. I

  • Wow! Great piece. Eric Johnson is certainly one of the all time greats however he can't write a commercial song to save his life (not that I like commercial music, but I do like good quality songs from time to time.) This and Cliffs of Dover are his best.

  • @rushrushrushfan youre right...I like clapton I really do; however, he did do some commercial songs to save his life !

  • Why should he write a "commercial" song anyway? Anything particularly good about that except for an increased income for the artist? "Popular music" aka "Pop" mirrors the fact that most people on this planet aren't capable of acknowledging or even appreciating true musical genius.. they simply listen to whatever superficial slush that soothes their weak intellects, unfortunately this makes people that are mediocre at best into so-called "superstars". Quality is not defined by popular opinion...

  • @slados1 You just put everything I have felt about music into words when I myself could not, so thank you.

  • @slados1 welll said.......peace

  • beautiful song & playing. ej is one of the few players that can cover so many styles & make each sound like it's his prominent one.

  • As long as we're being anal, I think it is correct if you were to call it an acoustic or classical guitar. A classical guitar is an acoustic with a difference of the modern steel strings, instead using mainly nylon, making it classical sounding, at least.

  • Love how he makes it sound like a harp with the pinch harmonics.

  • Wow, one year and only 4,938 views? :p

  • awe insipiring..a true genious , no doubt

  • brought a smile on my face ******

  • Amazing...all behold a master at work!

  • I can't believe it, he is a genius with the acustic guitar too!!! Eric, you are the master!

The pinch harmonics sounds like heaven

  • 1. That's a classical guitar, not an acoustic.

    2. Those are not pinch harmonics, but artificial, or harp harmonics. Pinch requires the use of a pick.

    3. Yes, Eric is the master.

  • a classical guitar is an acoustic instrument is it not? therefor its an acoustic guitar. "acoustic guitar" isnt a kind or brand of guitar. it just refers to the instrument being acoustic, and not electric.

  • no, pinch harmonic require the use of a pinch. thumb over the string while you pluck.

  • yeah...with a pick...you don't pinch without a pick

  • @polishcomedy pinch harmonics don't require the use of a pick, one can do the same thing a pick does with thumb/finger. i do it on bass when i feel frisky. however, you are correct, those are most definitely artificial harmonics.

  • @polishcomedy

Shmuckface....a classical guitar IS an acoustic guitar.

  • @polishcomedy pinch harmonics don't require the use of a pick, one can do the same thing a pick does with thumb/finger. i do it on bass when i feel frisky. however, you are correct, those are most definitely artificial harmonics.

and yes, eric is the master.

  • haha, you mean awesome 80's hair ;) ej is the man though

  • well, he`s 80`s guy

  • How did you get your hands on this? Great post, thank you!

  • does anyone know the name of this piece?

  • talk about a master of guitar...rock, blues, jazz, classical acoustic.....amazing
