@gersforme Ireland has some of the finest tunes, most stolen from the Scots.Songs such as Danny Boy.But we stole Loch Lommond from them.It was a Irish tune, that we took from them.It does not matter though, cos we are all Celt.Well most of us are,and that has been proven bye DNA swabs.
big deal...we share a same celtic ancestry....if more of the old firm actually studied history they would understand the historical and European significance of the celtic people...history is my job and watching rangers is my hobbie...but unlike many old firm fans i actually understand the real history behind all the crap which is sang!!
@MrSuperkrap Great. Just perfect for a Rangers fan like me who loves the folk music of all of the British Isles. We all know the point you're making but it's nonsense.

@DerryHeir1 i agree with you i follow the blue's i live in boro. if you're fans stop singing songs celebrating the death of british soldiers we might get along with each other, by the way i was chirstend a catholic.
Season 2010–11, was Rangers' 50th European campaign. They have competed in European competitions in more seasons than any other British club. In fact, only Real Madrid, Barcelona, Anderlecht and Sporting Lisbon have taken part in more campaigns.
I will be walking down paisley road west with my daughter ELLA for the first time against hearts on the 7th of may and i will be a proud dad she will understand when she gets to the game
Im a Celtic fan and i just have to say why sing all the songs you do when you could be singing songs like this, what a lovely song. Celtic are no criminals but charged 4 times in the last 5 years is not good lads.
a great song that I have listened to (and sang in the bath!!!!!!) for a while glad it will be sung at Ibrox. I remember taking my son to his first game - I remember saying to him you are on PRW look at the beautiful site ahead This song means so much to so many who can understand what it means
rip wee bobby . sorry for the loss. really good song . i think im going to start a face book page to try and sort out this sectarian scandell . theres not one sectarian line . only thing i can think of is the tune its sang tae. no1 platoon. but thats still nae exuse.... let me know if u think the facebook page is a good idea let me know on my face book email is billy_wood_05@hotmail.co.uk
you cant win my friend.....it truly annoys me, sectarian how??...at the end of the day, support rangers because I am scottish despite having a mixed background!rangers are a scottish team, not claiming to be an irish team....of course there is no problem with supporting celtic if your heritage is irish, but its obvious that all the paranoya comes from this fact: that most people (or the so called 'establishment' ) support rangers because they are a football team of scots!not english or irish!!!!
A fantastic song that articulates exactly what you can't always decribe - what it means to you, your Dad, and his Dad to be brought-up as a Rangers supporter. 'That beautiful sight of the red, blue and white - from that day I'd be Rangers for life." Different class.

An excellent song. Honestly up there with my favourite Rangers songs. They managed to get Wolverhampton Town played at Ibrox pre match, i'm sure thet can get this one played. The amount of folk this relates to, Rangers men or not, is unbelievable. Could bring tears to your eyes.
Condolences on your father's passing. A beautiful song...Have lived in Montana, USA for the past 26 years, used to live just off Helen Street and the PRW. Could always hear the roars from Ibrox. My dad was a great Rangers fan, and I try to keep up over here. Very emotional ...thank you.
This song should be dedicated to the gallant pioneers, all of us remeber our first Ibrox trip. All the Gers fans that have sadly passed , number 54 is for you.

Sectarian?!!!!! Jezus, absolutely nothing sectarian about that song! Fair play, it's the best 'hun ditty' I've heard! RIP Bobby - he'd be proud of that. ;-)
@gersforme my father passed last night, guess the Lord needed a bus convenor to take the bears to Hampden On Sunday, Thanks Victor Boyle, you taught me it was important o express a love for Rangers and leave the hate to others. I guess Wee Bobby and my Dad will be cheering the team on together on Sunday, with the GAOTU close by.
An amazing song about an amazing club. This should be played at Ibrox, it completely sums up how we are born blue and the pride that goes along with it.
My brother passed away at 50 suddenly ,three years ago. I feel a special affinity with Ibrox because he loved the place so much. He was 14 years older than me . I feel close to him there. I've been a Bear for 39 years (I'm 39!) but, since I live in England, and have done since 81 (moved when I was 10), I've only has a season ticket for the last two years. I feel close to my brother there. 'Mon the Gers. Follow follow.
Great video ...... check out my video on YouTube of the last Old Firm @ 'Hoogerws'. Hear the Rangers fans sing 'Follow Follow' towards the leaving Celtic fans after the deserved 1-0 victory. WATP!!
so thats why im proud oh such a great club , im not from northern ireland , it was ages ago i made that username up , it dosnt mean anything , dick. Rangers have much to be proud of , Rangers and Celtic are different compared to other clubs around the world , i rate the old firm fans the most passionate in the world , but to make it better , we must cut out the bigot shit and move on , LET THE OTHERS COME AFTER US , WE WELCOME THE CHASE!
what the fuck you on about ? , how can i be proud of rangers? what a stupid question to ask any gers fan , i know celtic fans are proud of celtic and i know why , because they have acheieved so much throughout the years , they have an incredible and unbeatable histroy , they are one of the biggest names in europe , they are known worldwide , they are a great club to support , and attending a gers game at ibrox is always somthing special , theres not a club anywhere eles in the world like rangers
this video just sums up my love for this club , brought a tear to my eye. I am desperate to hear this song being played at ibrox , infact m8 you should sing it live at half time or something , that would be a day to remember , great song m8 , get in touch with the people at ibrox , make them play it , keep up the good work.
But if your just going to leave comments like that... why bother? and why not... who says you can only have an interest in a team from your own country???
why bother, because its truly pathetic that folk from ireland and northern ireland associate themselves with two clubs in a foreign country for the reasons that they do. If rangers have to move into the 21's century they need to get rid of the bigots. I can on to here this song and its content to see if it were suitable
now your classing all irish fans as bigots...? and what are you talking about if rangers want 2 move into the 21st century? we are one of the most develped football clubs in the world! a training pitch that match exactly the ibrox pitch, a 5 star european stadium, a huge following, world titles... get a grip man!!

I don't believe we do share the same celtic ancestry.Scots folks are as likely to have Norse or Anglo-Saxon ancestry than celtic descendency.
Gaelic Irish will have as much Anglo-Saxon/Norman/Norse ancestry as celtic.

so thats why im proud oh such a great club , im not from northern ireland , it was ages ago i made that username up , it dosnt mean anything , dick. Rangers have much to be proud of , Rangers and Celtic are different compared to other clubs around the world , i rate the old firm fans the most passionate in the world , but to make it better , we must cut out the bigot shit and move on , LET THE OTHERS COME AFTER US , WE WELCOME THE CHASE!

what the fuck you on about ? , how can i be proud of rangers? what a stupid question to ask any gers fan , i know celtic fans are proud of celtic and i know why , because they have acheieved so much throughout the years , they have an incredible and unbeatable histroy , they are one of the biggest names in europe , they are known worldwide , they are a great club to support , and attending a gers game at ibrox is always somthing special , theres not a club anywhere eles in the world like rangers

one of the mothersof the founders of Rangers came from Ulster so we owe that great country thanks

ha ha it brought a tear to you eye. How can you possibly be proud of rangers? And id you are from ulster why d you support a foreign team?
haddingtonbb41 2 years ago
More to the point.. what are you doin here??
scottyc06 2 years ago
listening to a song from a football team from my country. Again why would a ulster loyalist have an interest in a foreign team?
haddingtonbb41 2 years ago
But if your just going to leave comments like that... why bother? and why not... who says you can only have an interest in a team from your own country???
scottyc06 2 years ago
why bother, because its truly pathetic that folk from ireland and northern ireland associate themselves with two clubs in a foreign country for the reasons that they do. If rangers have to move into the 21's century they need to get rid of the bigots. I can on to here this song and its content to see if it were suitable
haddingtonbb41 2 years ago
now your classing all irish fans as bigots...? and what are you talking about if rangers want 2 move into the 21st century? we are one of the most develped football clubs in the world! a training pitch that match exactly the ibrox pitch, a 5 star european stadium, a huge following, world titles... get a grip man!!
