Work experience pictures whilst with Greater Manchester Police

@rob7131 I will name one of them, which is ACC Thompson who is head of security of GMP. He has no problems at all with the video I have posted. None of these will affect policing operations. It would be different if I posted how they trained in the public order, or firearms etc..

@rob7131 Would you care to explain why? None of the pictures will affect the operational activities of GMP. This video has also been seen by senior officers, in which they agree.

@rob7131 First of all, all pictures of people (Just the 1 in the control room) was agree'd as we asked the person in charge.. who knows his staff. This does not break any human rights, as it comes in to the same effect then of being able to take pictures in public places. You will see the 5 series racing round manchester with sirens blaring. And surveillance work will take place in different cars which will constantly be re-registerd to protect identity.

@steclegg95 You can either organise it through school, or if there is someone you know in the Police, ask them about it. If not, write to divisional command on your division and ask them.

I organised mine myself, as I know an inspector in the police who was happy for me to do it with her.

By LAW your don't meant to take any kind of videos pictures or voice recording in or around the police station.

I had permission to do this as I have been vetted (Security checked) And before you say Section 44 Anti-terrorism act, that is just a constable in uniform and they have to have suspision that you are using it terrorist materials.

Another point, one of the Assistant Chief Constables from my force has seen this video, and probably alot of senior officers and none of them have said anything.

I'd say the restriction is around the time you do work experience, no earlier so say 14/15,

Lots of restrictions of what you can do and where you can go. I was with an inspector I know, so I got around abit.

You also need to be vetted (Security checked) and sign the official secrets act, so not sure what the age limit is you can do that.
