  • HR 2454 is going to vote in the House today contact your Reps and tell them not to support the bill that will increase the average American's energy bills by 2500 dollars a year?

Unless you like giving the Government more money to give to the Banks!

  • This is for the 1st 8 comments.

Each state had its own election. Some polled for Obama some for McCain. In my state Obama was going to win big. Voting for "The lesser of 2 evils" would not change that. Voting Ron Paul or any 3rd candidate would have sent a message and maybe we would not head tward Socialism as fast.

Do not fear voting 3rd party

  • Ross Perro got 20% on the promise of a ballanced budget. By 2000 we got a ballanced budget. If the guys in Washinton think the American people are waking up, they will try to put us back to sleep.

  • tomrdee..exactly. And the fact that you are going to know you didn't sell out on your principles is enough to make me happy.

  • Don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul.

  • You voted for Ron? That's the reason why this Communist Husein now is in the White House. You wasted your vote.

I like Ron Paul too, but you have to be realistic when voting. Always vote to block Welfare Statists, no matter who is your "horse".

  • You should never accept the lesser of two evils.

  • Grand..I agree

  • What about Warfare Statists?

And be serious, your vote doesn't matter either.

  • "And be serious, your vote doesn't matter either."

Really? But wasn't that Socialist Hussein *ELECTED* into the White House? Sure he was. So vote does matter, but the question is - whose vote. People who can't stop dreaming about their Utopian society, or market society realists.

In 2008 it was real bad, Utopians won. But hopefully in 2010/2012 they'll learn their lesson and vote differently.

  • nick..I COMPLETELY disagree. You have to vote with your heart. PERIOD.

  • It is not a wasted vote. Until more people get this idiotic notion out of their heads, that they don't matter, and start to rebel against "the lesser of evils" choices and force the mainstream media and political parties to put up good candidates we'll NEVER see it happen! WE NEED to vote for good candidates, regardless of party or "chances to win". It's well documented that the media wrote Ron Paul off at the start, despite his winning debates, being better funded & backed by his supporters!

  • nice, i have a sticker that says that

  • "You should never accept the lesser of two evils"

Then you'll always end up with the worst of the Evils... as we have in 2008.

  • The problem with voting for the lesser of two evils is in the end your still voting for evil. I had to support and write in Ron Paul, my conscience wouldn't have been clean otherwise.
