I must admit I was concerned when I read about the art style of this game, in 2008. But as soon as I started playing I absolutely loved it. Love the art, the soundtrack and the story.

The gameplay is good, though it becomes a bit repetitive after a couple of playthroughs.

Still, it's one of my favourite games ever.

I realize story wise, the game is unrelated to the others, but in a chronological timeline would this take place after the sands of time games? The Prince ins the beginning was yelling for "Farah", the name of the princess from the sands of time games. Connection perhaps?

Hehe, when the Prince is about to die and the Princess helps him there comes a voice in the background. It also comes when you need to find the way.

Sometimes it says: "Wazira neshon bete" which means: "Show the Prince the way"

or

"Roha neshon bete" which means "Show the way"

"Komakesh kunen" which means "Help him"

This game is mediocre to the extreme. Good puzzle gameplay, but not great, too few and too restrictive fights, poor character development, no way to lose, and an ending that COMPLETELY makes pointless everything you just did.

Hey Prince of persia 2008 and Condemned 2 Bloodshot almost have the same elements, like that black goo on the walls and the goons aswell. I like that type of style, but Bloodshot is way huanted.

I payed 60 bucks for this game when it came out, and boy did I feel ripped off and pissed off; In other words I hate this game, let me count the ways 1.) Nolan's voice does not suit the prince. Nor does cell shading suit this game, it far better utilized in say the gamecube version of ultimate spiderman since it makes it feel like a comic. That said the platforming is still fun; if albiet easier than the other games. In light of visually stunning (yet simple) combat the game manages to stay interesting throughtout.

The character is never refered to as a Prince, but a thief, and the reason is easier than the Sand triology, at least from what Ubisoft laid down at the time, was to return to a the more classic POP type of gameplay.

The art style of the game is left for opinions, i prefer this one much more, whereas a friend of mine will prefer A "Sand" game, because it looks more realistic.

In this game the actual Farrah from the old games is non existent. The name Farrah as his donkey was just kind of an easter egg by the ubisoft team.

It's a complete respring of the series. Thats why it is called "Prince of Persia" not Prince of Persia 4. The developers said so themselves that this is completely unrelated to the others and they are taking the series in a new direction. The sands of time trilogy only had 3 games.
