  • What song is this?

  • For a crash course in film scoring that doesn't require you to back to college and spend 4 years there, or spend a lot of money visit filmmusicjobguidebook. com/webinar.

  • .... Welcome to neuronaluniverse....

  • is there any score dvds or blurays???? I love Ennio and Hans

  • He's amazing! I love Hans Zimmer. I want to play in his orchestra, that would be great.

  • If someone is wondering, the piece is "You're So Cool" from the "True Romance" movie.

  • @myrddin021 Catched it at the first moment. The movie is so amazing and now I remember it's Score is from Zimmer (: ...Is it possible to bring Christoph Waltz and Hans Zimmer together in a movie so they could win at least 2 Oscars for best actor and compositor? (:

  • Should be conducting.

    What a cop out.

  • Me encanta Hans Zimmer, eximio compositor y director!!!

  • one word - genius

  • i would so love to be in this orchestra =) (first violins of course lol)

  • fantastic

  • mine is ennio

  • Original Score From "True Romance"!

    I love his beautiful music^^*

  • This piece always reminds me of Miusica Poetica from Carl Orff.

I find Carl Orffs version is far more moving and haunting.

Oh, was used in the film Badlands, my fav road movie with Sissy Spacik (excuse spelling)

  • @theinvisib1eman Oh Really? I should cheak out Carl Orff, too. Thank you so much for your comment^^*

  • HANS ZIMMER IS MY FAV COMPOSER!!!!!

ahhh! it would be so incredible if i could be in his orchestra with him...... :(

  • What do ya play?

  • i play trumpet

  • Hm, nice.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!! I have been looking for it for years...kinda tricky since I forgot who composed it...what it was called....that I was looking for it all along...

  • I LOVE HANS ZIMMER!!!

  • What the hell? why?

  • the sound quality is shit, thats right SHIT!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song is TRUE ROMANCE movie sauntrack

  • nice to see the man himself in this video, and for god sake will ppl stop argueing about POTC music, yes Klaus took credit for the music in the film but Hans did more work than ppl think, a lot of the themes from that film came from Hans, and were did u get James Horner from! Hans couldnt take credit for the first film because he was doing a lot of work for King Arthur and didnt spend as much time on this film, but Klause did and thats why he get the credit. Love this vid tho, all them ppl 5/5

  • He was actually assistant composer to one of his protégés Klaus Badelt for the original POTC. He took sole credit for the two sequels.

  • Well, if you think that you'd be wrong...AGAIN!!! If you were smart and looked at the back of #1's case you would see that a guy named Klaus Badelt wrote the music to it. Corndick.

  • Well, actually, yes. Klaus Badelt composed the first movie OST, based on the "Pirates, Day One, 4:56 AM" theme by Hans Zimmer.

  • And if you were smart u wuld do that much more research and find that Zimmer wrote the themes, and was put to the movie by Klaus Badelt. Dah.

  • I never said that Zimmer didn't contribute. I just said that Badelt was the main person to be credited. Sometimes it's best to keep a simple answer with the short sparked people. Forgive me for this.

  • Hans Zimmer a CSÚCS! Nagyszerű zeneszerző!

  • Great composer but very bad conductor(he can´t conduct).

  • He's probably a better conductor than you are!

  • Your right, he's not conducting - it's one of the guys in the his Remote Control Productions. But how do you know personally how he is at conducting? Have you seen him, do you even know him, or even talked to him? I doubt it - so don't assume shit when you don't even know.

  • There is no way Hans could be good at conducting. He admits himself that he's terrible at reading music. And reading music is kind of important for a conductor.

  • Haha. And he's like one of the best composers out there? That's funny shit man. And I thought that if I messed up a little bit on my music during any kind of performance it was bad! Still love his music though.

  • Well... as you can see, he aint conducting ;)

  • Physicists can come up with amazing theories, but they can't test them without help. e.g. The Large Hadron Collider

I suppose soon you will expect composers to play all the instruments themselves or something, and then magically combine them without a computer.

  • you gonna bark all puppy...or you gonna bite?

  • or you gonna bark puppy?

  • you're not making sense

  • Hans Zimmer is the best!! awesome!!! thanks for uploading!!

  • God bless you Hans

  • Excellent.

  • protage.

  • Man this guy is an incredible composer!

Though he set himself an almost unbeatable standard in The Lion King.

  • @esbirch which song did he produce in the lion king...i had no idea it was him..

  • @blacklight019 Zimmer composed the background music that accompanies the entire Lion King film.

  • Grateful* Picture a cliff, the wind erodes away at the cliff, eventually it destroys it. The cliff is your musical imagination, and the wind is Hans Zimmer.

  • That is the funniest thing I've ever read. Thank you.

  • jo the sorcerer i know what you are saying , same thing with hip hop theses days just aint the same anymore

    peace

  • I love Spectres in the fog - The Last Samourai soundtrack.

  • people are free to listen to whatever music they like. if it's crap then they're listening to crap. you yourself don't have to listen but you have no right to tell others what to listen to. just as you are free to express your opinion, you have that right and everyone will have to respect that.

  • You are a looser, you are not human, you don't understand anything about his music. When a person listens his music their feeling grew up, he has an amazing talent, he is the boss, if you don't be feeling depth or you don't even cry listening "This Land" from "The Lion King" or "The Burning Bush" from "The Prince of Egypt" you don't have feelings in your heart, you don't understand the life, you can not express yourself. You don't understand anything...

  • one man's trash may be another man's treasure...keep that in mind...goes for everything in life...and when you say same main themes....no...I've been a musician for 12 years and yes i can hear the similarities between the songs you stated above...but if they were the same...obviously movie companies wouldn't seek him out as the soundtrack composer...and one last thing...who are you to criticize him or his work? i am more than sure he IS and WILL remain more successful than you ever will be

  • It's actually spelt loser.

  • You are sooo true there. I tooo am a musician and love Zimmer. So many styles he has, sad, happy, heroic, peaceful, romantic, grunty, and beautiful. and same with me, I hav noticed some similarities, but, if u realy look at them closely, they are completely different.

  • well, I'm not agree with you. But in fact, everyone can have his own opinion. I like Hans more than Williams and Goldsmith. They make good stuff too, but not really fantastic or hero-like. Its just good movie score, not else. Michael Kamen was for me also a good man, died unfortunately...

  • this is for true romance right?

  • Quest'uomo è un genio.

    THIS is a great man

  • zimmer is the best composer like john williams but they have different taste this thing wasnt stolen from the hook that movie suck batman begins was a good score now how can u beat that

  • the steve jablonsky score to transformers and the hitcher and the island.

  • fuck guyz who say that hans zimmer is a fake..if you can do better, just show us. if not, just shut up !!!!!

  • I agree with you ;)

  • Yes, it's right ...

This is the music of True Romance, an American motion picture released in 1993, directed by Tony Scott and written by Quentin Tarantino.

The composer is the Famous Hans Zimmer, True Romance is based on a familiar piece by Carl Orff (1895-1982), autor of Carmina Burana ...

  • i love his music specially for Lion King, Prince of Egypt and Pearl Harbour . i think he's one of the best composers ever.

  • What is THAT song called??

  • this is a score song of TRUE ROMANCE (hans zimmer)...

  • You're so cool...a great piece but I actually don't like this version, maybe due to the poor sound quality or something. It just seems too messy here, too many noises competing.

  • Worked on The Hunt For The Red October too!

  • I want to go to an Concert of Him

  • did hans zimmer write and conduct all of the songs?

  • Pirates 2 is by Hans Zimmer only dude.

  • This music is also very nice to hear. :)

  • didnt james horner copy the gladiator theme tune (by hans zimer) for the pirates of the carribean music?

  • Idiot! Hans Zimmer composed the music for Pirates 2!

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!

  • NOTE that HZ is NOT the conductor of this orchestra.

He's the man we can see at 1:54 and he's god himself :)

  • He's the uncle of my godmother, really!!!

  • great composer, i want to design his website! :-)

  • One of the most brilliant composers....

  • Hans Zimmer is the Greatest ! I want to go to an Concert of Him

  • The magic of the piccicatto...

  • A great composer, honor him! :P

  • hans is the number one composer!! defenitly!!

  • The Rock soundtrack he did was great as well.

  • Hans is my FAVORITE composer.

  • the title is You're So Cool

    respect to Hans

  • Ah nice, musica poetica originally for "Badlands" reworked for True Romance. Interesting to see.
