"By and large Republicans had ignored blacks and sometimes handpicked a few servile leaders in the black community to be their token "niggers". How would I sound trying to go all out to sell Republicans to black people? They're not buying. They know better."
Please give a specific example of racism displayed by the JBS. I haven't seen any. The more I learn of them the more I like them. They fight for the constitution, which means they are fighting for human rights.
@Superplatanoman Yes, they do have a racist past but then so the Democratic party, in fact the Democratic party was pretty much the official party of the KKK when the KKK started and also had ex KKK members in the party all the way up to the early 90's.
@Superplatanoman I think it would be worthwhile to find out WHY they opposed it. Many times those who REALLY understand the constitution, know that what seems good on the outside is rotten on the inside. I myself have questioned their position on things and then found that the reason for their opposition was because the proposed "solution" would NOT be a total or permanent solution but just another band aid on a wound that rally needed surgery and stitches.
@Superplatanoman see my other reply .Yes the band aid would stop some bleeding and perhaps protect somewhat from infection, but would leave scars and other problems in its wake. Many times there are better ways than what the politicians and talking heads try to con us into
You might have called them racists too except that Rev. Craft is black. The JBS National Spokesman on Immigration, Sam Antonio, is the son of legal immigrants. So the "xenophobe" slander is also untrue.
Attaching these "memes" to an organization or person is used to perpetuate false perception of the target so the general public will be turned away from the truth.
It is sad how well this tactic has worked to defame an honorable organization with very brave and dedicated patriots.
the xenophobe type conservative practices the deadly sin of wrath...they are haters. these are your archie bunker type, angry white man type conservative (generally speaking). they are generally of low IQ and poorly educated.
Agree, but that's not the John Birch Society. It might attract some of those types, but that's not any different than the Democratic Party attracting socialists.
lol remember when the birchers thought that we needed to fight charlie cong in nam, or we would have to fight them in americas streets? same silly stuff they believe today!
You mistake Birchers for Neocons. Birchers want the war to end. Neocons use that tired justification.
Snap out of the left right false dichotomy. There is a whole other group of patriots dedicated to liberty. The only other choices offer international socialism quickly or slowly. Call 'em democrats, republicans, liberals or neoconservatives - same thing -- different speed.
I just saw Rev. Steven Craft this past Friday in NJ at the Chuck Baldwin meeting. I admire how well he speaks and the message he is speaking. This is how all of us need to be in order to educate the people.

@LibertyinLaw One or two token sell-out does not mean the JBS is not a group of xenophobes...The GOP has proved that...
