  • Somebody give me tabs please!

  • haha remember this from travis and buffco " im starting to get pissed seeing water in every video"...

  • wow I was teen sthg - old days...

  • awesome blonde guy hairdo

  • This is tasty - man - how weird,though!

  • what album?

  • geniousss

  • what hazel had in common with the pixies are the same things that the pixies had in common with many bands of the 80s, 90s, and earlier. dynamics, tempo changes, volume changes, harmony, unusual time signatures, etc. nowadays those are becoming a rare thing with bands that manage to get any mainstream airplay. if you open a hit song by the latest flavor of the month rock band in a WAV editor nowadays, chances are that it's just a wall of strict 4/4 tempo hot-mastered noise with no dynamics.

  • @gangpill Erm...Tasteless,uniform,bland,oppressive,unattractive,conformed,unwitty,depressing,mind numbing,saturating and generally awfull with a vocoder...

The nineties where a golden age we seem to have neglected...^^

  • @gangpill And their both so pop-ish.

  • FK LUV

  • xxxxxxxxxxx

  • I discovered this from the video "Beavis and Butthead 533 Skin Trade" and I gotta say, I'm really digging it

  • @rxvp9000 you & me both! hahaha

  • @rxvp9000 same here mate

  • Great ,)

  • kurwa! nie zgrywa sie vide :(

  • The Pixies influence is clear.

A long thought short though, this is brilliant music.

  • @GrungeRockerAziz

There is some of that, but neither Frank Black nor Kim Deal had the natural instinct for harmony that Jody Bleyle had (has?)-- she is the Emmylou Harris of indie rock

  • @Brephos

I see what you mean; that's well put! :)

  • @Brephos are you out of your mind? how can you even compare?

  • @FlaviasCucumber

Compare to Emmylou Harris or to Kim Deal/Frank Black?

  • sounds very pixies.

  • not really......have you actually heard hazel or the pixies? Besides whats on youtube?

Somehow i dont think you have a very informed opinion........

  • i have 4 of the pixies albums actually.

    soo FUCK off

  • seriously........hazel sound nothing like the pixies.

The only thing they have in common is a female in the band who sings occasionally.

and i was correct......you may have pixies but have you heard anything else by hazel?

  • I actually agree with this dude. Of course I don't think either of us are trying to overgeneralize the band. They just sound like they were influenced by the Pixies. But really, who wasn't.

  • @Krueger22 Yes, there's a bit more in common than male/female vocal pairing. I see more influence in the bass and guitar than anything else. There's a bit of loud-quiet-loud going on too.

  • Of those characteristics I'm referring specifically to this song, not to the band in general.

  • Very nice song!

  • =Wiur= DZIEKI PO 100 kroc SZUKALEM TEGO WIEKI az nastal ten dzien w ktorym wspomnienia orzyly ostatnio slyszalem i widzialem ten klip majac chyba z 11 lat czyli 15 lat temu ! ! ! ale tak ZAPADL W PAMIEC ze na PRAWDE mnie zatkalo WSPOMNIENIA JAK ZYWE SZOOOOOOOK !!!

  • I LOVE this video! I still remember seeing it on Beavis and Butthead too, lol

  • I had no idea that they had a video. This brings back so many memories of when I was a teenager. Is there a video for Truly also?

  • THANK YOU! Half of my band's set list was Hazel covers back in the mid 90s, including this one. Their stuff is pretty hard to find, so grab it when you see it. Pete Krebs (singer) is still pretty busy these days.

  • wow, what a find! they were so much fun live!

  • Never thought I'd say this, but this band was way ahead of the curve. If they came out today on a Canadian label they'd be huge!

  • Thanks for posting this...PDX rocked in the 90's!!! Hazel, Heatmiser, jr. high, Crackerbash, Thirty-Ought Six, the drakes, Sunset Valley, Braille Stars, etc... So many memories of La Luna and the Satyricon.

  • Just watched this cause' of you.

    You ARE the PDX authority.

  • OM fricken G!!!! thankyou so much for posting this!!! wh0oa

  • i can't even tell what's going on in this video half the time.

  • i remember this video played on beavis and butthead once...but yeah, hazel are a genre to themselves: like grunge, pop-punk and indie blended..i wish more bands sounded like them.

  • loved this.. thanks..

  • I have these dudes' album. rare as fuck these days no doubt. singer always looks so geeky, the album art cover you dont really take seriously! still, fucking great band & shit!!
