One of the THE great guitar solos, from Brian Robertson. Such a shame that he never made more of his career. After leaving Lizzy he made a couple of sub-par albums with Wild Horses, a decent effort with Motorhead, then....pretty much nothing apart from a bit of touring with Frankie Miller. A real waste of talent if you ask me. Nice bloke, just likes the whisky a bit too much.

I saw Phil Lynott at the Marquee Club in London just months before he died, when he was trying to launch his new band, Grand Slam, I think they were called. A very sad sight - the charisma, the vitality and, it appeared, the talent all gone. A good advertisement for staying off the drink and drunks. This video is from the Live & Dangerous concert dvd. The L&D album is compiled from about 3 different concerts, none of them being this particular show at the Rainbow Theatre. They might be different, but they're pretty much identical, and I think the solo is better on the album. Robbo was well known for not really playing the exact same solo each time.
